Very bright and colorful. Short sentences. Would work well as a beginning reader. While the cover didn't draw me in, I think younger kids will like it.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Orca Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's book. It is a flip book with winter on one side and spring on the other. It is a cute book with nice graphics. The rhyming is fun. And I think children will enjoy this book. It's simple but charming. 4 stars
A simple rhyme made into a simple book. It’s a flibflob book, meaning one side is winter, and one side is spring. Each story is a simple rhyme about the season, with simple pictures as well. Simple is not an insult, because this book is exactly what it needs to be. An uncomplicated book for uncomplicated readers.
Good book. Enjoyed this author. I recommended it to my daughter who teaches second grade. This is a fun book for children that are toddler age and up.
Very creative and love the illustrations. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Thank you to the publisher and author for providing me with a digital ARC of this title via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
Cute children's picture book that I can see would be very engaging and interesting for young children. Nice bold pictures and bright colors. Simple storyline and a fun addition that the book can be flipped to reveal a second book from the back.
The winter and spring season are shown in this cute book for little kids. This book is full of cute illustrations.
Adorable season book! Cute rhymes and colorful, cute and happy pictures as well. A great book for young children.
I received an electronic ARC from Orca Book Publishers through NetGalley.
Board book
Brightly colored illustrations and simple text introduce young readers to the joys of these two seasons - winter, spring. Each season has its own story told from opposite sides of the book (flip book).
This book works as an individual and group read aloud. Readers can draw information from the illustrations to understand the text.
I received this arc from Netgalley for an honest review. This book is easy to read a story about what a little girl can do in winter and spring days. Bright colors and few words make it great for early readers.
My children get extra excited about flip books. This book, Winter Days, flips over and contains the story, Spring Days. The first thing that grabbed me about this book is the bright, vibrant artwork. It's just beautiful! Each season is portrayed through colorful, whimsical pictures that depict favorite moments of that time of year. I would buy this book simply for the illustrations.
For me, the text is a bit lacking. I realize this is a board book for young children, but my children love having a few short lines to listen to while they take in the pictures. I feel 1-2 sentences per page is just right.
Overall, a stunning book that children and parents will enjoy!
