What a GREAT book. I really enjoyed reading The Accident.
Here we find Dr. Garrick being called to the scene of an accident where there are two of his patients. One is dead and the other is in a coma. The strange thing is they should not be together. False accusations and the fact that the dead victim was dead before the accident leads to Dr. Garrick's arrest.
This book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. The story is suspenseful and full of intrigue. The storyline is easy to follow and the characters are well-crafted.
The book was suspenseful and written well. The organization and telling of the story flowed well and held my attention throughout, especially in the last third of the book when the tension ramped up.
The reason I didn't rate it with 5 stars is mostly due to the lack of punctuation separating clauses as they should have been and a few typos in the text.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book to read and review.
This is fantastic! You think you know who did it; then; you think someone else is guilty. However, I did figure the killer out, before it was hinted at. It was still a great read. I cannot wait until the next book! I am thrilled to find a new author!
I highly recommend! Thank you Netgalley, and to the Author, Tom Bierdz!

Psycharist aren’t usually called to an accident, the man requested Grant. Cole Hempstead, son of a shrink, and a friend, and a patient occasionally.. The woman Lara Stewart a new patients of Grant, and he questioned why was she with him. Cole had a dream, about two babies, and wanted help of what they
meant., this was two weeks prior. As was an evening dinner at Cole’s parents, of which Grant and his wife were close friends, till the divorce, and now a call to come. To find Win had a brief affair with Lara. A tangled mess, and now one is dead, and the other unconscious. Grant has no way of knowing that from seeing Lara just the once, that it began a downhill spiral, and the cost for him was high. Great story, intriguing, how the lives entwined. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Net Galley and.the publisher Kobo
Called to the scene of an accident, psychiatrist Grant Garrick is stunned to see his colleague's son, Cole, barely alive and the deceased woman he is with.
Cole was a patient of Grant's and had asked for Grant by name at the scene of the car accident. Now, Cole is comatose. Grant takes this particularly hard since his son had committed suicide years earlier that also led to his divorce from Hanna.
Win Hempsted, Cole's father, had sent a patient, Lara, to Grant Grant only saw her one time. It seems that that's all it took to set the wheels in motion for a very scary future for Grant.
Grant is framed for Lara's murder - why?
and even more so - who?
An excellent read! I look forward to reading more from this author.
Many Thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for a very good read!
The Accident, Tom Bierdz ****
I guess it’s just me, but I’m not a fan of this genre. A successful psychologist sees his life and practice go in the toilet as he battles to set things right. The story is realistic and well written, but I don’t agree with some of the main character’s responses to some of the events. Maybe it’s too realistic for me. It is big on detail and has colorful descriptions of dress and scenery. I read this book for free as part of an advance readers group for the author. The
