I have loved this series since I read the first book! Vow of Justice concluded the series perfectly, though I was sad that it had to end.
I love the premise of this story, that of an agent thought dead to protect those she loves from a powerful mob member. This story has so much more going on to it that first appears, which I loved. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so suffice it to say that you need to pick this one, along with the rest of the series, up!
I received this book from Revell. This is my honest review and is in no way influenced by receiving a complimentary copy.
FBI Special Agent Linc St. John is the fourth of the St. John siblings to be featured in the Blue Justice series. As a member of a task force to bring down the Russian Mafia head who has made Columbia, SC, a home base, he is teamed with Special Agent Allie Radcliffe. They work well together and also have started forming a special bond. The story drew me in as one event after another unfolded, and people around her were ending up in the line of fire. The suspense is thick and the stakes are high. Lives are at risk. Through it all, Allie struggles with matters of faith as she sees so many plans going awry and evil continually seeming to have an advantage over good. At every step, the Mafia head and his assassins seem to know what is coming and exactly where Linc and Allie are. Allie has developed a close affinity to the teenaged daughter of the Mafia head and struggles to keep her safe, although the teenager comes through with help for Allie at times. The descriptions of the evil that emanated from the Mafia head and his closest bodyguards and assassins was almost chilling to read. However, I would rather read it than come face-to-face with anyone so evil. I particularly enjoyed the times when Linc and Allie were together with all of his family. The family members have been introduced in earlier books of the series, so I enjoyed their involvement in this story. Allie had vowed justice for her own family after they were murdered fifteen years earlier. A huge part of her reason for getting into law enforcement was so she could get herself into a position where she could fulfill that vow. Will she finally get justice? Or will she die trying? I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own. #VowOfJustice #NetGalley
This novel is a suspense filled addition to the St. John family series. This story centers on Linc, an FBI agent. He's sweet on Allie, another agent, and trouble comes to them both as they pursue a very bad guy.
There was lots of suspense in this plot but I felt that some of it was repetitive. I would hope that the FBI is smarter than some of the action in this novel, causing some of the suspense. I suspected who the bad guy was early on and was proven right in the end. The plot itself is complex, particularly the aspect involving Allie's life. We readers get information revealed to us as Allie gives it to Linc. I liked that. I did think her family story was a bit convoluted, especially as it ultimately gave reason for the current FBI investigation.
My favorite character was Daria, daughter of the very bad guy but on his hit list. She's a smart and savvy teen and I'd like to see her in a future novel. Allie was a woman on a mission. Yet when it came time to meet out vengeance, her relationship with God won out. I liked that. Linc was a bit of a disappointment, I felt. I would have liked a smarter agent. It was a good thing his family often had his back.
I like to learn something when I read a novel or at least be exposed to something new. That was not the case here. This is just a good suspense story with a little romance in it as well as mention of a relationship with God.
I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
Another great story about this great family. It held my attention from the first page to the last word. Thank you Lynette for writing such wonderful stories...Than pk you to the publishers for having such great authors and thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read them.
A really good who-dun-it with threads of suspense. I figured out a bad guy early, but was way off on why and what his ultimate endgame was. I love that. And the way it tied loosely to earlier books is a nice reward for those who have read the earlier installments, but will not distract from the enjoyment of the book if this is your first in the series. And the spiritual thread was perfect! Great romance as well. Basically, this book had it all.
I have really enjoyed getting to know the characters of this series. I love the way that they work together. Linc and Allison have to work together to keep her alive. They each have to get past some differences as they learn to work together. This book will keep you guessing and trying to decide what will happen next. A great read.
I’ve spent three books and a novella with the St. John clan and looked forward to finally getting to learn more about Linc. And oh, boy, did Lynette Eason take me on a white-knuckle roller coaster of a ride.
Allie and Linc are great partners. They trust each other with their lives and are willing to face difficult things head on to protect each other. Even better, they’re friends.
While I figured out who was the cause of all Allie and Linc’s troubles early on, Eason still managed to throw a few surprises my way. And, of course, some of those St. John siblings jump in as back up. This is truly a family that serves and protects. More so when it’s one of their own in need.
True to Eason’s style, Vow of Justice weighs heavier on the action and suspense than the romance. But even that works well for Allie and Linc because of their history and friendship. It’s a love that’s built between them naturally and can weather the truths that change Linc’s knowledge of Allie’s identity.

I am reviewing a copy of Vow of Justice through Revell and Netgalley:
Lincoln St. John is an FBI agent who is living a personal nightmare. After the woman he loves Allison Radcliffe is murdered he is determined to track her killers down and make them pay for their horrific crime. What he could have never expected was to find Allison very much alive after she was supposedly murdered. Kind isn't sure how he is supposed to feel when relief mix with anger and hurt. One thing he does know is he and Allison will have to work together to stop these people before Allison is really killed.
If you are looking for a Christian Suspense novel that will hold your attention and leave you guessing them I highly recommend Vow of Justice by Lynette Eason!
Five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
“Vow of Justice” by Lynette Eason was a fantastic read! This is the fourth book in the Blue Justice series, but you don’t have to read the first three books to enjoy this one. Lynette Eason is one of my favorite authors, and she didn’t fail me with this one, either.
This book follows Linc St. John and his partner, Allie. Linc finds out that Allie is dead, so he is dead set on finding her killer. However, he soon finds out that Allie is actually alive. So now they’re trying to figure out who the real bad guy is. Although I did figure out who the real bad guy was, this book still kept me interested all the way through. There are some twists and turns along the way, in true Lynette Eason fashion!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that enjoys good, clean, romantic suspense novels. In fact, I recommend all of Lynette Eason’s books!
I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
I could not wait to get my hands on this book! If you have read any books in the Blue Justice series then you know exactly what I mean. Eason is at the top of her game and kept me turning pages with no clue what could happen next. This book was full of twists, turns and breath stealing moments. I loved getting to know Linc and Allie more, and I am not ready to say goodbye to this family. The Blue Justice series follows the St. John’s who are mostly law enforcement of some kind. I was blessed to read all the other books in this series, but don’t feel that you need to in order to enjoy this one. Of course if you haven’t read them, you might as well get them all! They are each so unique and impossible to put down.
Vow of Justice follows Linc and his partner Allie as they try to capture an elusive and dangerous criminal. Before joining the FBI Allie had a secret past. It is a big part of what fuels her to be the best. When the past collides with the present she is left scrambling to put the pieces together before it’s too late. Caring for Linc as more than her partner was not part of her plans. Can she ever live a normal life? Or was she not made for happy ever after?
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense. Eason is a professional at adding just the right amount of romance, mystery and faith. I was happy to bring this book with me wherever I was just in case I had a spare moment to read, and know you will be too. I received a copy of this book from Revell publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Loved this book. Strong characters and kept me going. Love that author and all her books and haven't been disappointed yet. Highly recommended
Vow of Justice was written by Lynette Eason and is the fourth and final book in the Blue Justice series.
Summary: Linc St. John and his team are working hard to put away an elusive Russian mob boss, but the job might just be harder than they could ever have imagined.
Bombings, assassins, a missing girl, and a devastating betrayal all lead Linc on a wild ride-one that might just be his last.
My Thoughts: This book (just like all the others in this series), does not leave you with one minute of downtime-it is completely FULL of action from the first page to the last.
I liked the story very much-even though it was going so fast, I had to stop every once and a while to remind myself exactly what was going on, and who was who!
I truly did enjoy this book, and it is not necessary to have read the other books in the series in order to enjoy this one.
But, if I was to have one criticism of this book (and series), it would be to say that there are SO many characters, it was difficult to keep them all straight. And, this would be especially so if you had not read any of the other books in this series.
Overall though, this is a thrilling, non-stop action ride, and was fun to read!
I would like to thank Revell for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.
“Just remember, justice and revenge are two very different things.” - Linc
Lynette Eason takes the reader on another thrilling ride from the very beginning of Linc and Allie’s story. As the mystery unfolds and the layers are peeled back, you discover depths of betrayal that take your breath away and keep you enthralled to the very end. In Vow of Justice, will Allie get the revenge she feels her family deserves or will she be able to truly fight for justice as Linc challenges her to do? You don’t want to miss this next installment in the Blue Justice series!
Rating 4.5
This is the final book in the Blue Justice series featuring the St. John family who all are involved in different ways in the justice system. This book features the last of the St. John children, Linc, who is an FBI Special Agent. His partner is Allison Radcliffe. When she was only 14, her family was all gunned down by an assassin and only she escaped. Now she has a lead on who that assassin was and she and Linc are out to find he and his boss who ordered the deaths.
Fast paced, full of action, twists and turns galore, this high paced suspense novel kept me fascinated from start to finish. With high tech devices, Allison and Linc pulled out all the stops as they tried to solve this mystery. They even had to pull in LInc's other family members for support and advice. But somewhere along the line someone who is involved with the case is leaking info that is deterring Allison and LInc as well as putting both their lives in jeopardy.
The slow developing romance between Linc and Allison was nice, and I appreciated that it didn't overshadow the suspense which was the main focus. The suspense and dramatic tension carried along throughout the story until the final culmination. The characters were all memorable even the villainous ones. And I appreciated that just enough clues were dropped to hint at whom the culprit was that was leaking info.
I took half a point of my rating score because I felt like some of the descriptions were too graphic for my taste.
This book can be read as a stand-alone; but if read in order; you gain a much better understanding of the St. John family and the relationships within that family.

Wow!!!!! I'm embarrassed to admit this is only the second Lynette Eason book that I have ever read. It will most definitely not be the last! The action starts right away and doesn't end until the, well, end. I started with #4, but will be reading books 1-3. This series is about the St. John family, but each book is a standalone novel. Each book focuses on a sibling. This story is about Linc St. John, who is a FBI agent. The author does an excellent job of depicting a female character who is strong, yet vulnerable in some way. In this story, the main female character is Allie, who is Linc's partner. She is afraid to open up to love. I love how the author weaves the romance in to the story, but the romance does not overshadow the suspense at all. Not only did I love Linc and Allie, I also loved Daria. She is a teenager who is wise beyond her years. My favorite quote came from Linc who said "revenge and justice are not the same." This quote came to serve Allie well. I enjoyed this book immensely. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
A great read. The suspense and romance were well balanced. The action was fast-paced but not unbelievable. Recommended!
“Justice and revenge are two very different things.”
Allie is on the hunt for the assassin that killed her family, and also tried to kill her, all while going under cover to take down a member in the Russian Mafia. When she finds the evidence to put the kingpin away was stashed away by his own daughter, Daria, Allie is determined to keep her safe at any cost (including her own safety). Allie’s partner Linc is determined to help her, but when she turns up dead after a tragic explosion, his fury fuels him to defy the FBI rules and branch out on his own.
A story of forgiveness and life-altering choices, Vow of Justice will hook you from the very first page. My heart was shattered in the first five chapters, and then put together again in a matter of minutes. Eason has a unique gift of making you feel invested in the story, and its characters, quicker than most authors I’m familiar with.
Lynette is a favorite author of mine, and this is her best series yet. My hope is that we see a glimpse of the St. John family in many more novels to come! This final installment of the Blue Justice series kept me turning the pages at any cost. You’ll never see the ending coming, and once you do, she’ll throw another curve ball your way. I couldn’t put it down!
While I am familiar with and have read other books by Lynette Eason, I believe this was the first book from The Blue Justice series that I had had the opportunity to read. The good news is, it stood alone on its own very well though I got the impression here and there that perhaps readers had already been introduced to other members of the St. John family through previous books, it in no way impacted my ability to keep up with this one. The bad news is the story was SO good, that I now must go back and read all the others to catch up on what I'd missed. Okay, okay... that's not really bad news at all, is it?
Christian romantic suspense is my absolute favorite genre and this book is a prime example of just why that is. The action starts right from the beginning and kept me in its grips right through the final pages. Now I must admit I did figure out both the 'whodunnit' and other rather important plot twists fairly early on, but I don't feel like this was necessarily because it was easily predictable... just that I again read a TON of these books and have gotten pretty good at picking up on the subtle clues left throughout the story. Even at having figured out various aspects of the story out, it didn't ruin it for me. I still found myself wanting to see how it all played out. The Christian aspects in this were very natural--- not preachy or in your face, but still quite dominant in the characters life, which is something that I can very much appreciate. The romance in this story wasn't as prevalent as that seen in other novels in the genre, but I certainly enjoyed getting to know the couple too. All aspects worked together to create a fantastic story, with nothing inappropriate I don't care for!
If you've already fallen in love with the Blue Justice series, you will love this final book in the series! If you've not read the others, you'll want to catch up... or just read this one on it's own. Either way, it's a great read!
**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.
The Blue Justice series has taken us through many trials, but this final book brought out all the guns! So much action, intrigue and mystery. A hint of romance that never seems to get its happy ending, but of course the ending wraps the whole series up beautifully. There is so much to share, but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. So, I’ll keep this review simple. You can read it as a stand-alone and then catch up with the rest of the series. Personally, I’d start at the beginning of the series though as those books were seriously amazing! This was a good book that had a lot of twists and curves. Though Lincoln St. John stands out as a lead character in the St John family, this was really about his love interest and partner, Allie. They are two FBI agents in a tangle of trouble and mystery from beginning until the end. I also loved the faith journey… Allie’s drive for vengeance versus allowing God to bring justice was a key theme in the story. I absolutely loved the epilogue and seeing all the family members together was awesome! Great job, Eason on another great series.

Books like Vow of Justice is one of the reasons Lynette Eason is one of my favorite authors. Great plot, character development and writing. This has been a great series and I look forward to this author’s next book. I received an arc from the publisher. This is my unbiased review. Suspense fans will not be disappointed.
