such a cute romcom read! I loved it in 2019. Adorable dialogue between characters and loved both MCs. A sweet, innocent, closed-door romance.
I actually really enjoyed this book! The characters had a lot of chemistry and I felt the story was very raw and relatable. Love the cover and title as well. Overall I'm very glad I read it.
I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.
I love a good romance or rom com! This was super cute and fun read that helped my february reading mood.
Faith, humor and charm are the three words to best describe this novel. Love and Other Mistakes is a delightful contemporary romance that will have readers smiling from ear to ear.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Overall, I liked this book. If I paid more attention to book summaries and genres, I probably wouldn't have read this. It had a subtle religious tone that didn't take away from the book for someone who isn't religious. It was a cute story with a cute ending, although a little heavy on drama all the way through.
I think my greatest disappointment with this book was the fact that it was advertised as a romcom - which to me equates to light and fun - this couldn’t be further from the truth. This book had some wonderfully developed subplots and characters and some depth of issues that redeemed the book’s rating, despite not being as advertised. I was really looking forward to a true romcom in the Christian market! Finally! A clean read I could enjoy. While this novel had depth and likability, it falls more into the women’s fiction category and that’s not really a genre that tickles my fancy.
DNF at 20%. The writing was really good, but I struggled with the constant switching POV between multiple characters.
This mistake is on me but I didn’t realize this book was categorized as Christian lit. I knew the story would have a God component based on the blurb, but the fact that numerous characters worked in ministry and the “romance” was G rated had me losing interest quickly. The fact that a main character cheated in the first few chapters of the book was an instant no for me.
I wasn’t able to read this one as I have not been able to download a copy. As I was bot able to read the book, I will still give it a five star review because it was not the author’s fault.
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you
Cute, fun story with a lot of heart. I liked the characters for the most part and really enjoyed the book overall! Definitely a solid first book. (Btw, A Girl’s Guide to the Outback is even better!)
It is hard to summarize this book. There were so many characters and things happening, but I didn’t really care about any of them.
This was a Christian book. As a Christian myself, I certainly don’t mind Christian books, but I’m a firm believer in show and not tell. I felt like I was constantly being reminded that this one was a pastor, this one was a church member, this one went to church camp all the time, etc.
I also had issues with how most of these characters acted. Christians are not perfect and I don’t expect them to be portrayed that way. However, these characters didn’t even try! They were some of the most self centered characters and they weren’t even trying to be better unless they were caught.
I gave the book two stars because even though I was not a fan, this was a debut novel and I do see promise in the author’s writing, with a lot of editing.
I really enjoyed this heartwarming story of love, forgiveness, and second chances. Natalie is trying to keep her life together after being dumped by her fiance Jeremy, but when he comes back to town with a son, life takes a drastic turn. Can Natalie forgive and forget? Can love conquer all? This story has a little of it all. The supporting characters are great. I especially enjoyed Lilli and her journey through emotional heartache and anger. Jessica Kate wove the multiple storylines together extremely well. I would read more by this author for sure. 4 stars. Thank you, NetGalley, for this advanced reader copy.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book. It was different than what I expected, but I really enjoyed it!
Great Christian read. Patrons are always looking for this type of book. Looking forward to more from this author

At this time, I'm no longer interested in this title. Thank you for the opportunity to read the book and I apologize for the inconvenience.
This book wasn't for me. I liked the idea of it but the writing and actual subject matter didn't appeal to me
Jessica Kate emphasizes placing our identities in things, approval, people or anything results in quicksand that entraps and suffocates. The power of forgiveness for self as well as others is illustrated well her. Both make this a worthwhile read and the catalyst for me to finish to the end.
I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.
Well, I really enjoyed this!
I loved the romance, and Nick and Lili were so sweet.
Since there is a lot of content that isn't appropriate for readers under 16/18 I recommend older teens up read it.
