In Alaska 1941 Elisabeth meets a pilot flying mail in to the town. The next day he kills a man and asks to see Elisabeth in jail. He tells her he will reveal what happened to her 11 year old twin sister who disappeared 20 years ago after she fulfills three requests. Elisabeth makes difficult decisons with the requests but she desperately wants to find her sister. The end had me reading so quickly to get to the end. Alaska during World War II was an interesting setting too.
This is the tense story of a woman who was born a twin. Her twin disappeared as a child and her disappearance is unsolved twenty years later. If given the chance to find your beloved sister, now grown, how far would you go to reunite. What would you be willing to sacrifice? The story is fast paced with a most interesting ending. There is an Historical element as the story is set in Alaska in the 1940’s with threats of the Germans.
This reads like a movie and the ending is open ended enough to invite a sequel.

Amazing! I love a good mystery and this is a great one! This is fast paced, plot driven and I loved every minute of this book. For a debut novel this hit it out of the park
Elisabeth has felt the loss of her twin, Jacqueline, keenly for over twenty years. Vanished and never seen or heard from again, Jacqueline is presumed by most to be dead, but Elisabeth still believes that her sister is alive and that somehow, they will see each other again. In the mean time, she lavishes love on her daughter, who reminds her more of her missing sister more every day. Then one day, Elisabeth meets Alfred, a man who promises to tell her exactly what happened to Jacqueline, but only if Elisabeth agrees to to exactly as he tells her. This incredibly tense and disturbing story kept me biting my nails almost to the quick. Expect to see this on the bestseller lists
