DEADLY INTENTIONS.....Lisa Harris
Josh was a police officer, dead tired from lack of sleep, approaching his home, intruders we’re running out. Nine home have been hit in his neighborhood. Except this time it was murder, Josh a widow before forty.
Caitlyn sitting at the funeral of her co-worker and friend Helen, it couldn’t possible be a suicide. Over daily lunch time, she talk of her grandchildren, a trip to Vegas in the summer. Three sudden deaths were they all connected by Med TECH, and same project. Her scientific background says no they were not sudden or suicides. A hit and run happens to her, she has to draw Josh in on what is happening. A good thriller, from the beginning with Josh seeing what happened to his wife. It is personal they knew the victims, they wanted justice. Another gripping story from the author. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion from Net Galley and Revell.

Several deaths over a the course of a year, involving both unfortunate accidents and apparent natural causes, seem to be unrelated. However, Josh Solomon and Caitlyn Lindsey are thrust into a conspiracy that stretches into into the offices of people that are supposed to protect citizens. They both have to face danger as they try to find answers in Deadly Intentions.

Lisa Harris has written a book that pulls you in, and keeps you reading till the end. The action keeps coming, and you feel like you’re there with the characters. Just as you think you have a line on who is involved, a twist comes to keep you from being sure. This kind of writing makes the book fun to read.

Both Josh and Caitlyn trust God, but their faith must endure hardships are questions as they face danger and accusations. They frequently wonder if they are doing the right thing, and how the situation will turn out. Though they consider giving up, both Josh and Caitlyn hold on to what is right and fight to stop the scheme that put them in danger.

I have only read Lisa Harris in the last year or so, but I feel like her books keep getting better and better. Deadly Intentions reminds me of similar books by Lynette Eason or Dani Pettrey. Her attention to detail and suspenseful plot lines, keep me riveted until the last page. I read this book in one sitting; I had to get to the end.

The main character, Caitlyn, works for a medical research company. After her third co-worker dies, Caitlyn realizes that these are not natural deaths, but murder. Someone is trying to silence her team. But she can't think of anything in her lab worth killing over. She takes her findings to a police detective, Josh, who happens to be the husband of one of her deceased co-workers. She and Josh feel an instant attraction, but have bigger problems as they both become targets of the unseen villain.

Overall, I thought this was a great book. It is fast paced, likeable characters, and I learned a lot about innocent vaccines becoming a biological weapon. You should read Deadly Intentions; you won't be disappointed.

Research scientist Caitlyn Lindsey has begun to suspect that someone is slowly picking off her team members, her hunch is solidified when she barely survives a hit and run. She goes with her suspicions to her late team member and friend's widow, Detective Josh Solomon.

Pressure builds as they get closer to the truth, tables turned and they find themselves fighting for their own innocence. Can Josh and Caitlyn work together to stop a weapon of biological warfare?

Josh has been widowed for over a year now, he jumps at the chance to go after his late wife's killers after Caitlyn comes to him with her suspicions. He quick thinking and cool under pressure, he is dedicated to his job to uphold justice. He is noble and brave, risking it all to keep Caitlyn safe.

Caitlyn had a tough childhood, and never really pursued having a relationship despite her friends trying to set her up. She came to faith through a friend inviting her to church, and has held fast to her beliefs through difficult times. She is very intelligent, with a gift for deductive reasoning.

A stand alone thriller from Lisa Harris, engaging and intense, easy to follow, and full of action, this book was one that I didn't want to put down. Josh and Caitlyn are strong Christians, and lean on their faith to get them through. Filled with twists, and surprising turns, this story did not disappoint. Edge of your seat drama, excellent plotting that had me wondering how they would ever make their way out. You won't want to miss this suspenseful, heart pounding read!

Deadly Intentions by Lisa Harris is a breath-catching run as the main characters, Josh and Caitlyn, work together to solve the mystery of three related deaths. The writing is top-notch. Harris definitely knows how to show and tell a story with just enough sensory details to keep the reader glued to the pages. The plot was a never-ending chase away from the police and the people who wanted to kill them. I really did have a wonderful time getting lost in the story and couldn't wait to see what happened. The climatic ending bothered me. It was done off the pages, and it happened pretty quickly. The entire story lead up to the dramatic moment, but Harris didn't deliver what she promised. As for the romance between Josh and Caitlyn, I didn't buy it either. It felt forced to allow the romantic part of the romantic suspense to keep its reality, but I didn't like it either. Overall, Deadly Intentions delivered a big promise of something huge happening at the end of the novel, but Harris didn't deliver what I was reading for. Fans of romantic suspense like Irene Hannon, Lynette Eason, and DiAnn Mills might disagree with me and love this novel.

I received a complimentary copy of Deadly Intentions by Lisa Harris from Revell Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.

Known for edge-of-the-seat suspense novels, Lisa Harris delivers once againw ith her newest novel,
Deadly Intentions. After the third colleague ends up dead, research scientist Caitlyn Lindsey decides things at her Houston-based workplace are a little too suspicious, and she begins looking into why someone might want all three of her colleagues dead. Caitlyn confides in Detective Josh Solomon, the husband of one of the victims, and they soon find themselves on the run, trying to clear their own names and trying find out who wants to either silence them or frame them. Seasoned Lisa Harris fans and new readers alike will find plenty of thrill alongside realistic and believable characters they can empathize with and an exciting plot line in the beloved city of Houston. Lovers of FBI or crime thrillers will find yet another exciting story. I'm looking forward to the next installment in what I hope will become a series.

Lisa Harris has quickly been climbing her way up my top favorite suspense authors list, and with Deadly Intentions, I think she has made it to my top five!

Harris tackles some very difficult topics in her newest release from Revell, and I applaud her for not only attempting to take on these topics, but for doing it so well. From the prologue, the reader can't help but be sucked into the emotions of the story. Detective Josh Solomon and research scientist Caitlyn Lindsey are both very real characters who are dealing with some real-life issues, which instantly makes them so relatable.

Any good suspense novel has many twists and turns, but Harris takes it to a new level with Deadly Intentions. My expectations were turned on their head about a quarter of the way through, and the book continues in that vein with smaller twists throughout the story. This one definitely keeps you on your toes!

All in all, this story is a wild ride from page one! If you are a fan of romantic suspense (lighter on the romance than suspense) with lots of twists and emotion, I highly recommend checking out Deadly Intentions!

"Deadly Intentions" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. The main characters acted realistically and were likable, kind, and courageous. They worked well together and both valued helping others. I understood why they were attracted to each other as they spent time together. The suspense came from people trying to kill Caitlyn and from Josh not being certain of who he can trust since it seemed like someone in the police department was working against him.

The mystery was interesting, but it seemed like the details about how the deadly virus worked kept changing. I expected the dispersal method to be one way, but then suddenly it seemed to work a different way, which I found confusing. And it's still not clear to me how the main bad guy even heard about the virus being available. I also wondered why Caitlyn and Josh didn't do more to disguise their appearance (hair styles, etc.) since they could have.

There were no sex scenes, but the main characters do walk in on a man in bed with his mistress. There was no bad language.
