I received a copy of this novella from Netgalley.
This was a very quick story. I think I would have liked it better if it would have been a full novel. I feel like everything was rushed and I would have liked more backstory on the main characters. I've read other books by the author and enjoyed them very much.
This book is an entertaining story of second chances. There’s laughter, friendship, mystery, distrust and hard feelings, old hurts, moving forward, forgiveness, and love. There’s a lot packed into this novella and I loved every minute of it!
The story is engaging enough to at least read it thru to the end, has decent pacing, has nominally likeable characters, and the dialogue is frequently amusing. Unfortunately, the plot is a bit uneven, and the characters are pretty 2-dimensional all the way to the token gay guy BFF stereotype. Didn't hate it; just kind of reminded me of a comic book story.
Content
Clean romance level: passionate kissing
Secular attitudes towards sex, but other than a few risque clothing scenes, no graphic descriptions
Use of the h8r pejorative "homophobe"
Use of the Lord's Name in vain (including the dubius alt "Geezus")
There was snow in Christmas,Colorado and main Street was decorated for new year's Eve. Sophia owns a store called naughty and nice. Her sister Autumn has a shop close by called sugar and spice
. Nine years ago they went into business after Autumn's divorce. I didn't care for the characters
A novella that is both sweet and moving.
I liked it but I would appreciated a full novel for some more character development.
I liked the plot and the style of writing.
I look forward to reading other books by this writer.

A short read, second chance romance.
Since the death of her husband, Sophia has kept away from the members of his family that never liked her and blamed her for his death. Before she met her husband, she had a thing for his brother, Adam. Now he is back in town and the town match-makers are interferring, will they get their chance to be together and will they take that chance.
This short novella is kinda cute, kinda sweet, kinda moving. But I really feel like it would be much better being a full story - I would totally read that. I felt like so much happened in such a short space of time. The characters were good but they needed to be fleshed out. The events were great but they needed to fleshed out too.
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions in this review are my own.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
In this novella, we face moving on and second chances.
While coming to terms with her husband sudden death and the guilt that her husband’s family placed on her, Sophia finds herself opening up a boutique in the small town. To her surprise, she runs into her ex brother-in-law Adam.
Adam did not expect to see her again; especially, since she was his first love. Will things go beyond this time and will she give him a chance this time? A nice sweet novella.
