From the New York Times bestselling author of the Marked Men series comes a captivating novella about a rugged rodeo star who will do anything to protect the people he loves.
When rodeo star Crew Lawton loses everything in a bad bet, he has no choice but to take a new job to pay off his debts – even if it means becoming the face of an expensive male skincare line. Crew is used to getting sweaty and rustling in the dirt, not posing for photo shoots. And he’s certainly not used to being bossed around by a woman who doesn’t even know the difference between bulls and broncs. But Crew owes money to dangerous criminals, and he’ll do anything Della says in order to pay them back and keep them far away from his family in Loveless, Texas…
The launch of her new men’s line for her family’s company means everything to Della Deveaux, and she’s not willing to let some rugged, arrogant cowboy ruin her campaign. Crew Lawton is the last man she would have chosen to represent her chic, sophisticated brand. Unfortunately, her father already invested millions in Crew’s stupidly handsome face. Yet the more time they spend together, Della and Crew realize that opposites do attract. But when the time comes for Crew to face his past mistakes, will he be able to protect his family…and the woman he’s come to love?
Bad Boy rodeo star? Yes, please. Sign sealed and delivered. I highly recommend all the Jay Crownover books!
I love Jay Crownover and her writing is so unique. Unbroken is the perfect introduction to the series and I enjoyed the opposites attract trope that Jay does so well. It's short and steamy and satisfying. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
Jay Crownover is my top 5 authors ever! Highly recommend this and all of her series. Just great writing all around.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read and review one of your titles. Unfortunately, this title didn’t work for me and I have chosen not to review it.
Please also let me extend my apologies for this being so incredibly late (as I am guessing it’s more than obvious I didn’t review at this point) as I like to hold negative or DNF reviews until a title is no longer available on NetGalley, and sometimes posting once it has been archived slips my mind.
This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you
This book was very unlike the rest of Jay Crownover's work, but that doesn't mean it was any less entertaining or engrossing. This different direction shows that as an author, Crownover is evolving. This book almost felt more... adult than some of her previous titles? Not in steam factor, as that's a bit of her calling card, but in that this novel might appeal to those a little older than the Marked Men series might have. As the start of a new series, it does a good job getting the audience into a new setting and style, and I look forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes.

This is book 0.5 in the Loveless, Texas series and is a novella that took no time at all to read.
Crew cracked me up with his antics but I was worried about him getting the money to his loan shark on time.
I received this from Forever and NetGalley for review.
Unbroken is a short and sweet cowboy novella. I enjoyed the characters of Crew and Della and following their love story. My only complaint is a good one, that I wanted more time with them! Great introduction into a new series.
This was such a fun, romantic and exciting read! I had missed Jay Crownover's writing a lot, her character develpment is so amazing and she has a way of creating stories that make you want to drop everything and just read.
Can't wait to read the rest of this series!
If you enjoy reading stories where love comes from the opposite side of the road, you must read this. A must read author that can create great heroes and stories to back them up. Jay is always a go-to author.
I really loved and enjoyed this book, great start to this new series. Great story line and great chemistry between the characters, Cant wait to read more.
Thanks to The publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.
Let’s just say for novella length this book was amazing. Loved the characters, the story was great, and the HEA even made me happy! Five huge stars of fun!
A novella that introduces us to a great set of characters, but leave you wanting more especially as it feels these characters had a lot more to wrap up. Regardless it was a good read and I liked that Della was trying to find her own way , not be known just for who her father was. Crew is a guy who made mistakes and when it came to crunch time, did a job he never though he'd do, but that's what works for this couple. The fact that they were such different people.
An okay read and a nice start to the series as a whole.
My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy of this book.
As per the usual, Jay Crownover has created an amazing and sexy world. I didn't think it possible for me to swoon over cowboys. I should have known better. Jay Crownover always delivers.
Crew Lawton has lost everything in gambling debt and now he has to do whatever it takes to pay it off or risk his family on top of his sinking career. When Della approaches him and asks for his help he jumps at the chance to fix everything even if it means modeling.
All Della wants it to prove herself and make her father proud of her. With her mother gone she's craved his attention and seemed to always fall short. Now getting Crew to help her launch her career she'll do anything to make sure he's perfect.
I adored the instant connection between Crew and Della. They pushed it off for some time before caving and that made it so much sweeter. I loved them both as characters and loved being inside both of their heads and getting their perspectives.
Unbroken is a fabulous and quick read. I can't wait to see them in future books with this series.
I love cowboys. I love Jay Crownover. I love Jay Crownover writing abou cowboys. I love, I love, I love.... How many times can I say I love in one review? But that is it, I loved this story, the small town feel, the characters, Jay's writing style. I loved.
This is the first book in a cowboy/small-town series. I loved the premise, rodeo champion in a downward spiral and an ambitious fashion designer forced together by circumstances. The story/writing didn't quite work for me, I found it too simplistic at times. Still, I want to read more of the series, I was quite intrigued by the side characters.
I grabbed this novel to read as I'm a big Jay Crownover fan. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into it. The prologue just didn't grab my attention. But then I read Justified, the next book in the Loveless, Texas series and I had to find out Crew and Della's story. At this point, I may have skimmed through the prologue and the first chapter. After the rough beginning, the story did grab me. I liked Crew - what red-blooded straight woman wouldn't? I'd buy anything the man was selling that's for sure. I also liked Della. She was tough and trying to prove herself. And she was doing a darn good job of it! You don't have to read this novel to enjoy the others in the series, but I recommend it. It's a short, but hot read. Good for a summer's evening with a glass of wine - white because you're going to need something cold!
Book was good. I enjoyed the story and was pulled into the story quickly and stayed interested throughout. Lots of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
This was the intro to Crownover's new Western series and she laid all the necessary groundwork to keep us wanting the next entry.
Quick but intense.
First read by this author and it made me want to read more.
I never fell in love with the characters though. I'm not quite sure why... but the writing was fine.
