After so many starts and stops they were able to embrace life and the family they started and he had the heir he always wanted.
You had me at COWBOY. that was enough for me to want to read this book and plus i love the author. I enjoyed every second.
Chelsea Karnes has dreamed of moving out west to "wide open spaces" ever since reading her first cowboy romance at age. So when Chelsea gets offered a teaching position at an "alternative" elementary school in Texas she sees it as fate's design and goes all in. Even hooking up with a cowboy on her. Parker Trent is now a careful man. He's inherited a sizeable dairy farm from his father, and he himself looks at the purity of his milk and the purity of his dating record: he only dates tourists. Dating to be in the middle of a happy new year, up and down the new school.
This was a decent enough book. It follows a lot of the basic unplanned pregnancy tropes. Both main characters were ok. I was able to read it quick enough.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
This is my 40th (Leslie North) book I think lol could be more 😊 but I think this is my favourite in a long time.....it just caught my attention and held it the whole way through. Didn’t want this book to end and I will definitely be re-reading this one over and over again. Plus I can tell “Mary Sue Jackson” is going to be another one click author for me just like “Leslie North” is. Happy reading everyone!!!!
I hate the cover but I enjoyed the book. I felt like it felt a little contrived and I wish it felt a little more organic but it was a quick read.
I really enjoyed this story!
I thought that it was a really good story and I was able to read it at a good pace without details getting in the way.
I thought that the characters worked well together and I really enjoyed getting to know them as the book progressed. I really enjoyed the story and was addicted to the plot right from the outset.
It is five stars from me for this one, I really enjoyed it - very highly recommended!!
This was an interesting book with two main characters. Parker and Chelsea were both strong people and it was enjoyable seeing how their story enfolded. I was pleased that story had a happy ending after lots of problems. I would recommend this book.
An enjoyable romance between two people with good reasons to be wary of romantic entanglements. Parker and Chelsea were quite well developed characters and I quite enjoyed seeing how they interacted when, three months after their one night stand, Chelsea turns up to work for Parker - with quite the surprise consequences too!
Fast paced and fun, a little unrealistic at times, but this is romance, if we wanted full reality we wouldn’t be here. Well written characters with chemistry, full of heart.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
The Cowboy's Heir is a steady-paced, easy to read and sometimes complicated story of two people finding their way, after a moment of passion that was never meant to repeat. Chelsea and Parker come from very different backgrounds, but through unexpected events they find that their love of the wide-open spaces of Texas and a hard, yet simple way of life are actually the same.
While a times they both had frustrating tendencies, and lacked the ability to let go of their independence, this was an enjoyable read with a good storyline, and solid plot, and interesting characters. I look forward to Ms Jackson’s next rousing tale.
A fair story overall, and it kept my interest, although skimmable at times. Never considered a dairy farmer a cowboy, which Parker is, but I guess that is alright. A little surprised that Chelsea, a kindergarten teacher, would go for a one night stand and then get pregnant. Not many schools would want that for a role model for their children. Just saying. A lot of angst, a lot of growing up both need to do before their HEA. Would recommend, but a little different than expected.
I really enjoyed this story, Parker and Chelsea were well suited characters and their road to romance was enjoyable. I look forward to reading more by these authors
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thought this was an ok book. A lot of angst. Also, I am not fond of stories about one night stands where there is no talk of birth control. Pretty stupid for a 29 year old. Other than that it's an ok book. Preston really isn't a cowboy, but a dairy farmer. I give it 3.5 stars.
Poor Michelle needs to get a clue.
Whoa Nelly!
Awkward.
A real accountant would have run away screaming by now.
Her mother let a seven-year-old make her own dinner?!
The martyr act is just annoying.
At least she knows when she needs to apologize.
Um, what kind of power would he have had to control his grown mother?
Sex is not the answer to every problem.
It's just bedding. Besides, having spares with a baby is always necessary.
Parker is overbearing. This causes a lot of problems for Chelsea. He has to learn real fast to give her more freedom to make her own choices. Chelsea is just as stubborn as Parker is overbearing. It's constantly a bomb ready to explode between them. It was fun reading how these two learn to compromised.
