I finally finished this book I just struggled to read it. Its beautifully written but the story line for me was to jumpy and it took to long to get answers to questions.

Sorry

An excellent romp through a love affair. Very good light fiction which older students have found a good option for personal reading.

This was a fun, sweet light hearted romance read.

It's about Sophie who was ready to take the next step with her boyfriend till he decides to take off to Dubai and then her mum goes missing. Sophie decided she needs to return home to Paris to help find her mum. However when she return's she finds her ex who she left 5 years previously. Can they work together to find her mum?

This was a fairly quick paced read for me and I enjoyed reading about Paris and was trying to imagine the places as they were described. This book has a little bit of mystery and a little bit of romance. It also changes character POV at certain points which I liked as it added to the story. The only thing I didn't like was that there seems to be a time gap of a characters age in the book, she was a toddler (so me this would 2-3yrs) however in the book is a teenager going off on her own when only 5 years should have passed since Sophie last saw her, it just didn't make sense to me.

Overall a sweet second chance romance story.

Well I wasn't completely expecting that ending, what a great way to finish the book, and potentially set up a sequel!!

But before that we have a really enjoyable story, of Sophie Marchant who has returned to Paris after 5 years, when she left in a rush determined not to return, in order to help her twin sister Eloise look for their mother who has gone AWOL.

The shocks keep coming for Sophie, as she discovers her ex is now working for her mother in the macaron shop, and that she needs to spend large amounts of time with the sexy Raff to try to work out where her mum is. But in the meantime, well the old spark is still there.

Seeing Sophie re-discover her love of Paris, gives us a great tour of the city of love, and there is plenty of delicious sounding French food mentioned too, not to mention all the many flavours of macarons.

This is a treat of a book, that has you rooting for Sophie and Raff, and there are some memorable characters, and it really is a lovely story line too.

Thoroughly enjoyed what was the last book of my holiday, and can't wait for the authors next book. It's full of romance, food, Paris, sexy men, and just made me smile.

Thank you to Canelo and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I just, could'nt connect with the characters at all. I got sometimes confused of the timejumping and all the people thrown in. Plus, and this is just a picky thing on my part..i didn't like that Raphael ended up as "Raff" the whole time i read about him.

I had such high hopes for this book. Sophie's mother is missing so Sophie travels back to Paris to look for her and connects with a past love. Sophie's mother ran a macaron business in the heart of Paris-yum! Lots of descriptions of macarons and both Sophie and Raff are written in an enjoyable manner. I gave it three stars because I had to get to the end to find out why the mother had run out and it was easy to read to get there. The ultimate reasons for why the mother had left I found unbelievable. I also thought that the story diverged into a Paris travelogue occasionally. I'm all about travelogues, trust me but not in the middle of a mystery/second chance love story. There were many spots where the POV changed abruptly-sometimes in the middle of a paragraph. It's definitely an easy fun read, especially if you like reading about Parisian locations but I was left kind of disappointed.
Thanks to NetGalley and Canelo for the ARC in return for my honest reveiw.

Ah this was a super cute book. I love books set in Paris - one of the most beautiful cities in the world and Sasha Wagstaff is a great writer, I enjoy her work very much. There is a romance basis for the story but it focuses on so much more than boy and girl. A great summer read, easy, fresh and romantic.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

A second chance romance for Sophie and Raff.

They split up when she fled Paris 5 years ago, and now she is back to look for her Mother. The mroe time she spends with Raff the more she falls for him all over again, but will they get their chance to be happy this time round?

The cover is truly beautiful and caught my attention right away. Sadly, the content couldn't live up to my expectations. The storyline is well-known: meeting the love of your life again, which ended years ago in heartbreak but that you could never forget. This can make for a nice + cute, if not really original, story.

But in this book everything feels a little constructed and unreal. From the sudden + mysterious disappearance of the mother, the boss that is oh so understanding that his employee takes a leave of several months right away, the reunion of Sophie and Raff and especially their immediate closeness again, the reason for their break-up 5 years ago, Coco who so easily confides in Sophie - virtually a stranger to her - at the first opportunity, the "search" for the mother that is apparently not lost at all but only away on her own account, the reappearance of the mean ex-girlfriend who stirs up new trouble... And along the way they manage the shop as if it is no big deal running a business (we witness them selling macaroons, but when has Raff even time to bake them?). I also found that some parts of the dialogue sounded unnatural.

So, sadly, this book was for me like a macaroon. It looks delicious from the outside but the taste is not worth the money

Photographer Sophie is in London, with her boyfriend of 2 years. She has dreams for the future. But the course of true love takes a turn when her twin sister begs her to return to Paris to help find their missing mum.
In Paris her past comes back to haunt her. Did she make the right choices then?
Can she forgive the past?
A great feel good story.

I found this book missing a bit of sparkle until the last few chapters. The setting is amazing and the description of macarons will have your mouth watering but there’s just something missing. The original rationale for leaving Paris doesn’t ring quite true for me. I did enjoy the book however and found the conclusion quite satisfying. Perfect for a summer read.

Thank you Netgalley.

I have never gone to Paris. That being said, I felt like I took a trip to Paris with this book. The premise was sort of basic romance, but there is a nice twist at the end that keeps you interested.

Essentially it's a story of miscommunication, missed opportunity, choices, and love. Plus there is a nice sprinkling of food descriptions that made me hungry every time I picked this book up.

I received this book in order to review.

Five years ago Sophie fled Paris with a broken heart. Now working as a photographer, she is settled, happy, and living in London with her boyfriend, expecting him to propose. A non proposal, followed by a phone call from her twin sister Eloise requesting her help to find their missing mum, sends her back to Paris. Back in her childhood home Sophie has to confront what she ran away from five years before.

I loved the authors descriptions of the landmarks and little cafes in Paris remind you what a beautiful city it is. I warmed to the characters, both Sophie and Raff were both very likeable.

I enjoyed the story but I found it a little slow in places. However, in contrast I also felt that the end was very rushed and it was wrapped up too quickly.

Overall this book was an easy read with a nice plot. It would make a perfect holiday read at anytime of year.

Sophie left Paris, her mother and twin sister five years ago with a broken heart and has never been back, but then her sister contacts her to tell her that their mother has gone missing. With her boyfriend just leaving her to go and work in Dubai it is time to return to Paris. When she arrives she is shocked to find Raff the man she left behind working in their macaroon shop.... can she forget the past and move on?

A lovely feelgood story with some great descriptions of Paris, and the food, making me want to go back there. Good characters and a great lighthearted beach read for the summer

Enjoyed the book. It was a cute and fun story. Sophie was a great character but I really don't understand why she left Paris all those years ago and refused to even go back and visit her mom and sister. Her reasons for leaving seemed silly and so dramatic. Sophie wouldn't listen to her mom, sister or Raff but instead believed someone she didn't even know. Loved the description of all the sights and the food in Paris. Ryan was simply an awful boyfriend. Why would he plan that dinner and bring out the ring if he had no intention of getting engaged? He actually showed her the ring !!! Why???? Ryan's actions and his going to Dubai alone just helped Sophie realize he wasn't the right guy for her.

Loved the story, characters and writing style. At times I was confused who was speaking. One moment Sophie would be speaking and then all of a sudden it's Raff. The whole book was about finding Sophie's mom, that was the only reason she actually set foot in Paris. Then when it's finally revealed what happened to her mom, the book is over and there are so many unanswered questions. There needs to be a sequel!!!

Definitely recommend the book. I look forward to reading more books by the author. I wouldn't mind another book about Sophie and Raff!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Canelo through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Very enjoyable read and story.
I have never been to Paris so every snippet that I get in describing the surroundings and all the great scenes that are happening in the book are like a fresh breeze of air for me.
Sometimes in life, unexpected situations appear and we have to make decisions on a whirlwind that will change our lives forever and this story is exactly what a young woman would do in said situation. It's a beautiful story about life, family and falling in love. It's a fast-paced read with great character and lovely places.
The only thing I didn't like was the repetitive use the heroine name, it really felt too much at times.

In love with this book! So incredibly in love with it. It was sweet, and charming and lovely, and it made my heart happy. It was clichéd but it had a great storyline with a group of lovable characters. I can definitely relate to Sophie and her experiences - and it made me sad and happy at the same time. This book definitely reminded me why I am in love with Paris and I can't wait to go back. It was definitely a quick and easy read but I enjoyed every moment. Definitely a 5/5 book and absolutely recommended for anyone.

What a fun read for the summer! And, there's no better setting for love than Paris. Add a macaron shop to the mix, and consider me sold. Sasha Wagstaff launches her Lost and Found Romances Series with a charming tale of love and intrigue in the City of Lights. Sophie finds herself back in Paris with a missing mom to find and an old boyfriend to reconsider. This is a light read that's made for the beach.
