Carter and Emery... school rivals who get thrown together to work on a charity cookbook. Emery gave him hell and never stopped trying to get her life back. Carter had a bit of baggage to offload in order to get his new restaurant off the ground. (I love how that turned out!) A wonderful ending to a great series.

I Loved Carter and Emery! Great story line, so easy to get attached to all the characters in the story. You know with all the spunkiness of Emily that these are going to be explosive when they get together. Samantha did a great job with the enemies to lovers story.
I can't wait to see what Samantha has in store for us next.

In “A Dash of Christmas (The Montgomery Brothers #9)” by Samantha Chase we meet Carter and Emery. They have been rivals since middle school. But when Emery’s life gets turned upside down and Carter’s mom comes to her rescue they are once again pit against each other. This time they have more at stake than valedictorian.

While you don’t have to read the series to follow along you do see some characters from previous books pop up. Definitely a fun read.

I received this book this book through Net Galley and this is my honest review.

Emery is trying to hide from her ex-fiance and his lawyers who want her to stand by him. The reporters are also hounding her every step because of the many scandals. Emery cannot stand Carter and his privileged attitude he's had since they were children. I wished for a deeper connection between the two, but they were severely lacking in actual communication.

Every Montgomery Brother that we have met in this series is their own kind of special. Carter Montgomery is no acceptation. He is sexy, opinionated, passionate about food, down-to-earth, he’s a planner and best of all…he falls head over heels for his polar opposite!

Emery is the “damsel in distress”. It is a good think that Eliza Montgomery took her under her wing or I’m not sure she would have survived the scandal that rocked her world! It was hard to not want to climb into the book and give her a hug! Together as Carter works to find balance and purpose in his new restaurant project and Emery works to find balance and purpose in her new reality, they create the most perfect holiday cookbook!

Once Emery has made “peace” with her Mother and put her old life in the past…I could not put the book down. The last few chapters were perfect and swoon worthy! What a spectacular ending to a wonderful book series!

Another great book from Samantha Chase! Thanks sourcebooks & Netgalley for the ARC!

“With a dash of Christmas magic...
Two people who have spent most of their lives being rivals...
Learn a little something about following their hearts...”

I love a good rivals to lovers book and this one fits the bill perfectly! Always competing against each other - Carter & Emery’s reunion is definitely a knock out! This easy read starts the holiday season early as they work on a benefit cookbook he agreed to create and navigate both of their trust issues.

I highly recommend this book. It is the last book in the Montgomery brothers series and it is definitely worth reading the others first - just to meet this large family of characters.

A Dash of Christmas

Another Montgomery slam dunk!

When Carter Montgomery lets his life be consumed by his love for cooking and opening restaurants. He’s at the beginning of success. When his mother sucks him into a charity cookbook he’s not thrilled but he agrees. Emery his high school nemesis and the girl who loves torturing him is in the middle of this project.

The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Authors Blurb:Carter Montgomery broke the family mold when he went to culinary school. Now a successful restauranteur, he's at a crossroads: should he continue on his successful path or look for a new challenge? What he needs is time alone to think things through. But his matchmaking family has other ideas...
Emery Monaghan's no-good fiancé has embroiled her in scandal and she needs a way out. When mentor Eliza Montgomery offers her a refuge, she's relieved, until she realizes that the deal means rubbing elbows with Eliza's son Carter, Emery's childhood nemesis.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

A Dash of Christmas is the perfect way to ring in the holiday season! Fans of Pride and Prejudice will love this story of two stubborn people, not wanting others to interfere with their love life (or lack thereof). Carter has accomplished his goals in life, but feels like there might be something more he's meant to do...but when Emory flies back into his life, he's in no way prepared for her sassy ways. This one is in my top 3 favorites from Samantha Chase and a book that I will definitely be reading again soon!

Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan are the stars of the 10th Montgomery Brothers series, a standalone, happily ever after, no cheating romance with sizzle.
The characters are well developed, with the hero and heroine figuring out that a thorn in one’s side was hiding true romance. I could feel the chemistry between Carter and Emery although, they didn’t always respond in a manner that I would have expected. The writing was good and I will need to go back and read the other 9 of this series!
I received a copy of this story through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

These two have things to work through, but you will enjoy their story. I am sad to say goodbye to the Montgomery's....they have became part of my life. Carter and Emery have been rivals all throughout school. Then they led their own lives and Carter became a chef and owns his own restaurant. Emery becomes entangled in her ex fiances scandal and needs to get away. Emery is confronted by Carter's mom that she has a perfect place for her to go to and to work with Carter on a cookbook for charity.
These 2 together rub each other the wrong way and the competition is still there between them. But Carter has her back and when Papparazzi finds out where Emery is then Carter is there for her.
Emily's parents are all on her ex's side and they think she should stand by him. Carter is trying to prove something for his deceased father.
Emily loves food but really isnot a cook so when Carter starts cooking all these amazing dishes for her then she is in love.
Thank you to Inkslinger and Netgalley for this ARC for review.

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am an avid reader of books written by Samantha Chase. I love the Montgomery series - Chase makes you think they are real and not fictional characters.

I love how a certain pug made a debut in this book - Marlene May have had a small part in the story but when you know the author well enough you know when she adds special details to her work.

This story is the last of the Montgomery series- so if you haven’t read the others, you have totally been missing out on quality entertainment! Emery and Carter grew up together and were always competing against each other which only made them strive to be the best they could be. When Emery’s life implodes, Carter’s mom (Eliza) decides to offer her a place to hide away from the real world and a job editing a cookbook for charity - which gives her something to occupy her days. Eliza has a hidden agenda with making sure Emory and Carter’s lives cross paths again- when they both seem to need each other.

Definitely a must read!

A Dash of Christmas is book ten in the Montgomery Brothers series. I enjoyed Carter and Emery's story. The chemistry was there, whether they were arguing or doing something else. When it feels real in a story, it's easy to get lost in it, as if I'm watching a good movie. Definitely one not to be missed.

A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase is the last and final book in the The Montgomery Brothers series. I have loved, savored, and devoured each and every book. I couldn't get enough! And Carter and Emery's story didn't disappoint. Their banter was so hilarious and spot on. So many laugh out loud moments. And their sizzling chemistry was SMOKING!!

From the start i was hooked . i couldn't put my kindle down. No one can captivate an audience quite like Mrs Chase. Her romances are so believable, you find yourself rooting for the couples. Her romances usually contain small amounts of angst and drama which I love. Sometimes I just want the sweet drama free, fun, sexy stories with characters that I always ADORE! And that epilogue all I could do was smile the whole time I read it. This book was a PERFECT way to end this series! Well done Samantha Chase!

Emery’s parents have always been more concerned about their social standing and reputation rather than her daughter and the same holds true when it comes to her engagement to a politician. When his activities cause a media frenzy Emery finds herself with no support from friends or family except for Eliza Montgomery who arranges for her to stay at one of their homes where no one will find her.

Carter has felt like he never measured up to father’s expectations when he chose to become a chef rather than work in the family business. Despite the success he has earned and the fact that he is opening up his third restaurant he still feels like something is missing. He is in town to help with his mother’s charity cookbook, but he wasn’t expecting Emery to be living in his home.

Since they were children Carter and Emery have had a way of knowing exactly how to irritate the other and nothing has changed. Working together on the cookbook and living together allows them to really get to know each other and the chemistry between them ignites.

They couldn’t be more different or more perfect for each other as she shows him how to find enjoyment in his career again while he gives her the strength to follow her dreams and not the dreams that others have for her. It is always fun to catch up with this family and this book is no exception.

A Dash of Christmas is hands down my favorite book from Samantha Chase! it had everything I wanted in a romance story that is set during the Holidays. Carter and Emery were so freaking hilarious and their whole situation was such a unique spin on " love to hate you, hate to love you" romance.

A Dash of Christmas is the prefect book to get you ready for Christmas, the fact that a big component was focusing on a family cook book was so intriguing, having Carter and Emery fight on what recipes to include made it even better. One of my favorite lines after Emery convincing Carter to try something that she likes is : "Welcome to the Dark Side. We have empty calories." I was literally eating up (no pun intended) all of the hilarious banters that happened throughout the book between Emery and Carter.

This book was multifaceted, it also touched upon a very serious topic that has been circulating around the media lately, what I appreciated from Samantha is how she utilized this to make it a story on Emery coming out stronger and more powerful at the end. I also enjoyed how Samantha showed the struggle of a relationship, not everything is cookie cutter, Carter and Emery fight but also empower one another. Their interaction sometimes was so deep for instance when Carter is expressing to Emery how he sees her;

"" You're the strongest woman I know. And when you go home, you need to remember that and not let anyone try to convince you that you're not. You're strong and smart and beautiful, and they're all intimidated by that. By tearing you down, they make themselves feel stronger. Show them what you're made of, Em. Prove to them how wrong they are.""

We all need a Carter in our lives. I loved this book and it was the first that i read from the Montgomery family series. I am now very interested in the rest of the clan and can't wait to read about all the other couples who were mentioned in this book.

Samantha Chase has done it again! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… I have another favorite read! ‘A Dash of Christmas’ is a wonderful, heart-warming frenemies to lovers romance with the magic of Christmas woven in beautifully.

I adored Emery and Carter’s banter. Loved how they each pushed and pulled and just brought out the best of each other in every way. I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. I will warn you, though, you may find yourself a little hungry with the mouth-watering descriptions… of the food you dirty devils, lol. Samantha gives you all the feels but keeps the details to your imagination.

Please, oh please, do not let this be the last of the Montgomery series. They are such a wonderful family that I have grown to love dearly. I’m sure Eliza and Monica can find someone to work their magic on!

Loved, loved this story and the characters were wonderful. This story had everything I wanted for a holiday romance. It definitely put me in the spirit (and I know I will read it again before the holidays are over!!). It was wonderful from the first word to the very last one. I always think I've found a favorite then Samantha writes a new book to take its place. This is definitely a must-read, even if you haven't read the other Montgomery books (but you really should). I'd give it more stars if I could.

This was a sweet story, but i found it a little slow. I liked Emery and Carter They have know each other for many years and they have a quirky kind of relationship where they push each other buttons. They don't communicate well and leads to a lot of misunderstanding. No real angst in the story and it included lots of family members from other books I couldn't figure out. I think not reading the other books might have been a hindrance, but just a little. The book was missing the spark that would have kept me happy. I like it but didn't love it.
