As a classroom teacher, I was very excited to see that the Yasmin texts are now being published in Spanish. I coteach with our ELL teacher, and we both struggle with finding engaging Spanish texts for our 4th graders. Yasmin texts are fun, relatable, and so bright/colorful. This series is a must in any classroom, and the Spanish version is a huge win for our Spanish-speaking students.
I love the Yasmin book series! It is such a welcome addition to my library and will be for others as well! I love hat it is also available in other languages, as everyone should be able to read about this sweet little girl.
Love this book and the rest in the series. Simple text and bright pictures combine well and there is also a good mini problem to be solved by Yasmin in each book. Broken into 3 short chapters, this book is perfect for children as they become independent readers.
I want to thank #netgalley for a copy of #YasminLaConstructora to review. This will be a great addition to my classroom. My students who speak Spanish will enjoy this book and I love the message that it sends. Yasmin is a strong girl full of ideas. It's empowering and shows my girls that they can contribute and can solve problems. Great elementary read.
Saadia Farqui has another Yasmin book that is totally relatable to kids. How many times have your had a project to do and you just don't know where to start, especially if you compare your ideas with your peers. Yasmin shows in grit to add just the right touch to the group project. This early chapter book has excellent picture support and page layout to build confidence for your budding reader.
I love all the Yasmín books so I’m so happy they’re now available in Spanish. I’d imagine even more students will now love these stories that show so much imagination, perseverance, and creativity. These books would be very useful in bilingual classrooms.
Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Very charming storybook that's fully in spanish. I liked that the story is told in the perspective of the little girl and her quest to find something creative to build for her class assignment. Enjoyed the easy to understand language and flow of the story. Well written.
