Reading this book is like taking a roller coaster ride through the fever dream of an insane alcoholic.
Do you like weird? Do you like crazy? Are you ingesting too much cough syrup at the moment?
Then do yourself a favor and READ THIS BOOK!
Well written story. Kept me engaged the entire time. A page turner for sure! Looking forward to reading more books by this author!
Like, Follow, Kill is a deep and twisted read. From beginning to end, I was totally drawn in and needed to know what would happen next. I did not put this down once after having surgery. It took my mind off it for sure! These characters are well written and helped give life to the story. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it won’t be my last. I give this 5 stars
Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book and to be an early reader via NetGalley! However, I will not be writing a review for this title at this time, as my reading preferences have since changed somewhat. In the event that I decide to review the book in the future, I will make sure to purchase a copy for myself or borrow it from a library. Once again, thank you so much for providing me with early access to this title. I truly appreciate it. Please feel free to contact me with any follow-up questions or concerns.
Spine chilling suspense creeps up on you as you read this story. Camilla struggles with life after a horrific car crash. An unreliable protagonist Camilla is dependant on an array of prescription drugs and also has an alcohol dependence problem.
Alternating between poignancy and suspense, you begin to wonder if everything is at it seems. The psychological suspense is intense and credible. Plot twists and a cleverly tiered ending deepen the menace.
Like, Follow, Kill is a disturbing story with a contemporary theme.
I received a copy of this book from One More Chapter via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book for my honest review. I was so excited that I was chosen to read and review this book after reading what the story was about. Wow what a ride it will take you on till the last page. Great book!
I absolutely loved this book! I have always loved Lynch’s reads and this one completely blew me out of the water. The amount of detail that was put into the story really made it both realistic and exciting. I found it very hard to put the book down and really can say I fell in the love with the book.
I felt the characters were r all and relatable, as well as bringing life to the story, they also had lives of their own, making it easy to connect own them. This meant I was fully invested in the book, start to finish.
Overall, the storyline was excellent, the book had an excellent flow to it and it was just brilliantly told.
This had so much promise but it just seemed like the ending was rushed. If more time had been taken on the ending, it would have been so much better
I loves this book Carissa Lynch is a Rockstar of writers and always brings her A game
I've never been disappointed
Camilla was driving the car which killed her husband and left her scarred both mentally and physically. She spends most of her time alone, “following” an old friend online, until she thinks something has happened. I liked the cover, title and the books blurb, but not much else. It was dull and a struggle to even pick it up to read. Sadly it was disappointing and nothing like the story I was expecting.
Badly scarred after the accident that killed her husband, Camilla Brown locks herself away from the world. Her only friendships are online. In private Camilla can follow anyone she likes and she especially likes to follow her old friend Valerie. And then Valerie goes missing...
This was just ok for me I typically enjoy thrillers , I did like that was told from the main characters point of view it did seem like there would be a good twist , I was thinking I may already have figure it out with in the first few chapters which kind of dampened the story for me, I would recommend to others who like thrillers , some would love it I'm sure .
I thought this book was going to be great when it first started. Inwas really enjoying it. Then the ending just fell flat, it was done very quickly and didn't live up to the hype of the rest. I expected something nitty gritty but it just fell flat.
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. This book took a little bit to get going, but once it did, I had a hard time putting it down. It was at a solid 5 stars for me until the last 20% or so of the book. Then things took a hard dive.
What I did like was that the author defied the typical thriller format by putting everything in the first person, thereby really pulling readers into the main character’s thoughts and feelings.
Like any thriller, lots of twists are revealed toward the end. Some of them worked okay, but others quickly diminished my enjoyment of the book. And that’s a shame because the tension that was built up had been well-earned by the author and had me ready for a spectacular payoff that never panned out.
Thank you to Netgalley for this advanced reader's copy in return for my honest review. I enjoyed this book but the ending felt rushed.
2.5*
Reading the premise for this book I was thrilled to get started! Hoping I would have yet another diabolical, dark thriller to keep me up burning the midnight oil! Some of these new thrillers with ties to social media can be absolutely terrifying! (Maybe, because the potential for trouble seems so very real).
Camilla Brown has purposely distanced herself away from family and friends following the death of her husband. Everyone blames her. Ouch! Rarely showing herself in public, her life revolves around her old high school acquaintance Valerie Hutchens, who exposes her own personal life on-line as an influencer. And now for Camilla, it’s a compulsion...an absolute obsession to follow Valerie’s every online move.
As Camilla tunes in one night to see Valerie's broadcast her latest escapades, she suddenly sees a different side of Valerie emerge.
One of a terrified woman....who informs her followers she believes she’s being stalked. And Camilla can see a shadow in the background of the video feed! Again, what an interesting plot-line.
Unfortunately, at this point the book was too unbelievable for me to follow along and enjoy. I found the characters completely unlikable. The ending? Well I’ll just say it didn’t work (for me).
There are some positive reviews out there for this book so perhaps I just wasn’t the right reader for this book.
A buddy read with Susanne that left us both disappointed.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Impulse and Killer Reads for an ARC to read and review.
I don’t know what I just read, but it was not good. It was a jumbled mess. Would not recommend to a friend.
Tension Mounting Read.....
Camilla lives through social media, becoming obsessed with the posts of Valerie - when she sees something worrying on a particular post life spirals out of control. Twisting psychological suspense which moves along at a great rate, gripping enough to keep turning those pages. Ending, whilst feeling rushed, was unexpected. A tension mounting read.
A little hard to follow in places with the writing style very disjointed. Very fast paced. A bit unbelievable, but quite good fun to read with a shocking ending.

Chock Full o’ Nuts and Then Some!
Badly scarred after a car accident that killed her husband, Camilla Brown has been hiding out in her apartment for months. Nothing will make her step foot out the door, till a plea for help raises the alarm.
Valerie is an Instagram Influencer. Nary a moment goes by without her posting about her life, which is stalked by everyone, including former classmate Camilla. When Camilla strikes up a friendship by dm, who is Valerie to say no, especially when it’s clear that her life is danger, forcing Camilla out into the open to help a friend in need.
Can I just call “Like, Follow, Kill” what it is and say that it’s whack a doodle? Far-fetched and completely Cray-Cray! It’s enough to make your head spin like that of Linda Blair in the Exorcist. If you like far-fetched, this might be right up your alley.
I will say that it sure made for some interesting emoji-filled texting between Kaceey and I!
Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Impulse and Killer Reads and Carissa Ann Lynch for the arc.
