Camilla Brown and her husband were in a horrible car accident. Camilla's husband died and Camilla lived but is scarred inside and out. She starts living in seclusion with her only lifeline to the outside world being the internet. She starts following people online with her favorite being an old school friend Valerie. When Valerie goes missing that is when the crazy starts! This is one crazy thrilling ride! I enjoyed this thriller and the craziness!!! I received an advanced readers copy and all opinions are my own.
This year I’ve read several psychological thrillers with internet stalking and this one is the best! This is a crazy, twisted, nerve wracking story. Camilla is at home recovering from a harrowing car accident and spends her days and nights scouring social media and discovers she can live other people’s lives rather than her broken, suspended, nobody wants it kinda life. She begins obsessively following an old school friend, Val, who suddenly disappears. We are off on a insane journey. Loved it.
First things first...this is one whacked out piece of literature.
But it's fun...soooo much fun.
I've thought about this, and I don't want to give anything away...so I'm just going to suggest giving this book a shot. It's well worth your time, and compulsively readable. Had the final 10% of the book been a bit more believable, I would have given this 4 stars.
3.5 stars rounded down
**Many thanks to the publisher for my advanced copy, given in exchange for my candid review.
Wow! I was totally thrown by the last few chapters! I did not see that coming!
Camilla makes a grave mistake and ends up drunk driving and causing an accident that kills her husband and leaves her so badly scarred that she doesn’t want to leave her home. With both her parents dead and her only living relative, her sister coupled with an alcohol
and pain pill addiction Camilla spends all her time in her house and online. Her only contact to the outside world besides her sister, is online and she becomes obsessed with her old classmate Valerie. She follows all her social media accounts and even begins to message her and believes that they have become friends. When Valerie’s posts become infrequent and the few that are posted seem sketchy, Camilla begins to worry that something is wrong with Valerie. In one of Valerie’s posts, it appears that she has a stalker and then Valerie sends her a message asking for help. Camilla has become completely obsessed and decides to go and find her BFF Valerie and help her. Camilla leaves behind the small town with the bad memories and the accusatory glances. Camilla thinks it is strange that Valerie has not contacted the police but she feels obligated to find and help her and is drawn closer into the danger of the situation. There are so many twists in the end and craziness throughout but what a great book!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!

Dark, Twisted, and Completely Addicting!
Wow! Carissa Ann Lynch has a true gift for keeping you glued to these pages. I. Could. Not. Stop! Like Follow Kill is a nail biting, hair-raising, suspenseful thriller. I was completely obsessed with this story, I needed to know what was gonna happen.
An ending that will leave you with your jaw on the floor, wondering HOW all that just happened.
I definitely recommend this book for a wickedly good time.
An intense thriller, concentrating on a small number of characters - a device I felt worked well for this type of book. Plenty of twists to keep the pages turning.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of like, follow, kill by Carissa Ann Lynch. Wow, wow, wow I have been on a roll lately with one good book after another and this was no exception. This book had me hooked from the very first page to the very last. Such a fun thrill ride. I loved the writing style and the characters. Definitely recommend.
I think if I was to sum up this book in one word it would be weird. At the same time it was really compelling. I knew things weren't what they seemed and that the end would be unexpected. Unfortunately I found the end to be a real anticlimax and was left disappointed. I have read this author's work before and enjoyed it so this book hasn't put me off trying her again but if this had been my first experience of her writing I wouldn't bother with her again.

This one was pretty twisty, creepy and dark. Wonderful meditation on the social media age and how it can distort our loves and friendships. . Solid four
Camilla Brown's scars run deep, both mentally and physically. She was badly scarred in a accident that resulted in the death of her husband,Chris. She is a virtual recluse, who is addicted to drink and pills and whose only friendships are the people whose picture perfect lives she follows on-line.
One person she especially loves following is a girl who used to go to her school. Camilla is obsessed with Valerie Hutchen`s posts, her sickening joy for life and her horribly beautiful face. But then Camilla spots something shocking in one of Valerie`s posts - a man's face staring through Valerie`s window,a man who looks uncannily like Camilla`s dead husband.
And then Valerie goes missing
Camilla was a deeply flawed character who was quite often not very likeable and as the story unfolded I was never sure how reliable and trustworthy her narratives were. Through her own choice, she was a very lonely, isolated character who despite having a sister who worried about her was only interested in stalking ooops,i mean following Valerie. No one likes to feel lonely but I don't think many people who are in their right minds would travel hundreds of miles just because someone they once, vaguely knew asks for their help. Not when you stop and consider how many people hide behind their on-line personas and are not who they appear to be. There was not a very big cast of characters scattered throughout this story and most of them werent very likeable or trustworthy.
Most of the action occurs towards the end of the book but that doesn't mean that the earlier parts of the story don't hold the readers attention. There was loads of twists and turns, intrigue and the story kept you guessing and wanting to know what had happened to Valerie. This is a very enjoyable, well written thriller and the second book that I have read by this very talented author. I look forward to reading more of her gripping stories in the future.
Masterfully written thriller with plenty of twists that will keep you up late at night trying to finish it while at the same time wanting it to not be done. Being inside the main character's, Camilla, head while she is on this adventure is quite interesting and makes you question what is really going on in her life. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via NetGalley..
Was there one person I liked in this book? Well, yes, there was one. Lincoln, the librarian. Camilla, the main character? She was just....in a bad place from chapter one.
After a horrific accident, where Camilla is severely hurt and her husband Chris died, the only things helping Camilla through the day are her pain pills and the stories she follows on Instagram. Specifically the stories her high school friend Valerie posts regularly. Then one night Valerie goes missing and reaches out to Camilla for help. And for the first time in month, Camilla leaves the house to save a friend.
The real action is in the last few chapters. But these chapters are dark and filled with twists, that made me see everything I learned in the beginning in a different light.
Like, Follow, Kill was an additive and eerie read that kept me in a whirlwind of twists until the very last page! A thrillingly day engaging read which opens your eyes to the world of social Media and how deadly it can be by not knowing who is watching or even stalking the content of we upload. I really enjoyed this book and the many unexpected twists.
Thank you to netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This book was definitely a thrill ride. It wasn’t a five star read, but a solid 4 stars. The main character was very interesting and complex. The end was a little disappointing. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy in exchange for review.
‘I was born with a scream inside me. Lodged between my heart and throat. Can’t swallow it; can’t choke it down. Can’t spit that motherfucker out. It’s stuck, like me … anchored to the in-between, slowly rotting in the core of me.’
LIKE, FOLLOW, KILL is the first book that I’ve read by Carissa Ann Lynch, and I’m looking forward to reading more of her books. The prologue hooked me in immediately – and the ending – Loved it! How the story plays out was predictable early on, but I wasn’t expecting the twist at the end, which was, for me, a satisfying conclusion, bringing the narrative full circle.
Thank you, NetGalley and One More Chapter, for providing me with an advanced copy of LIKE, FOLLOW, KILL in exchange for an honest review.

I've been reading blogs and following people on instagram for several years. It's interesting, almost a character study of the way people portray themselves to the outside world. Like, Follow, Kill is a modern social media based thriller. Instagram, Instagram Live, Facebook...all of these modern forms of public display are all involved in the plot, with also borrows heavily from Single White Female, Psycho and a sprinkle of Saw.
Camilla Brown is living in her depression a year after a tragic car accident that killed her husband. Isolated and struggling with addiction, she finds a girl from school online who seems to live a perfect life. Camilla is quickly addicted to Val's stories, travels and adventures so when Val goes missing....Camilla goes over the edge and tries to find her.
This... is NUTS. The last 10th of the book flips, turns, twists and speeds through any ending I thought was going to happen. Excellent modern day thriller.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this book.
There is a readable mystery in here, but the writing is a bit too messy for me. In addition, I don't enjoy reading about stupid people, so this is not a favorite for me.
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in return for an honest review.
I found this book very interesting, I was constantly wondering what was happening and who to believe. Who was in danger and who was the danger. It was a dark thriller and very readable.
There was some parts of the story that pushed the limits of believable but overall I enjoyed the read.
Like, Follow, Kill kept my interest through the whole story. I was very intrigued by the premise of a social media stalker, and this book did not disappoint in that aspect. My only complaint is that the ending was so quick. I wanted a little bit more from the resolution.
I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.
