It's always great to preview upcoming titles. I hope to find some of them at Book Expo this year. Even the list of books that didn't have excerpts was fun to read.
Buzz Books 2019 Fall/Winter.
I really enjoy these books that give some of the upcoming books coming out with excerpts and info about the books. It gives you a sample of each and you get to check out new authors and see any upcoming ones you might want to read.
As always, Buzz Books present a varied selection of samples that includes fiction, debut authors, and nonfiction. I was thrilled to get so many choices; this issue is packed! There were recognizable names (Jojo Moyes, Meg Waite Clayton, Tracy Chevalier), as well as an impressive array of less known and debut authors. I had requested Frankissstein by Jeanette Winterson and Saint X by Alexis Schaitkin to start with, but I be sure to come back to guide for more!
A wonderful selection in Buzz Books 2019: Fall/Winter and it will be so difficult to choose what to add to my tbr pile. I can see myself ending up reading the vast majority of these books, especially the historical fiction, sagas and thrillers.
The Buzz Books Fall/Winter 2019 catalog holds a veritable treasure trove of books. I anticipate reviewing these each season. It is user friendly and provides a brief synopsis of many of the up and coming new releases along with convenient links to request the books from NetGalley.
I have already requested a few of these new releases and have them on my shelf to read. After reviewing this, there are a few others that I have noted for potential review as well.
Thank you again for providing this compilation of Fall and Winter releases for review.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an eARC of this book.
It is such a joy to receive Buzz Books. Gives a great overview of upcoming books.
Excellent selection of extracts from upcoming fiction, debut and non-fiction titles.
There is much to be enjoyed here, but a few personal highlights were:
The Divers Game by Jesse Ball. This came across as a thought experiment wrapped around social commentary on exclusion and racism. The omniscient point of view kept the reader from engaging with the characters.
A Single Thread. Tracy Chevalier. Set in 1932, this novel opens with a dense with interesting exposition which perfectly sets up the Cathedral setting and lifestyle of our older main character, Violet, and her typing work in Winchester.
HighFire. Eoin Colfer. It was interesting that this extract is from chapter 4 of this novel. Fine character building and excellent description of the setting hooks the reader from the first paragraph. Adult contemporary language.
American Dirt by J. Cummins, is an powerful and emotionally charged description of the aftermath of criticising the drug cartels in Acapulco.
Takes one to know one. Susan Issacs. The first person voice takes you straight inside the head of a great female lead. Intelligent, aware and naturally intuitive, Corie Geller is a former FBI agent and now stepmother.
And most intriguing of all - Just Watch Me by Jeff Lindsay. One I will certainly be looking out for!
I absolutely love reading about upcoming releases!! This has made me excited about the new fiction coming out later this year and early next year.
I always anticipate the release of Buzz Books because inside there are great book recommendations and all the upcoming releases. Every time I read it my tbr gets even bigger.

An exciting collections of book samples. I'm looking forward to the new releases, a great way to try a sample before requesting the galley or purchasing!
As usual these Buzz books are so helpful to those of us who love to read or just understand more about current literature. It helps to discover what to look out for without committing to reading or buying the full books. Thanks.
This was a great way to learn more about new books coming out soon! I added a bunch to my tbr and am really excited to read them!!
When ever I see a new Buzz Books is available I run to it!! I love the idea of getting exposed to a book I normally wouldn't pick up. I have found wonderful new to me authors this way and it's so easy to request an ARC with the link at the end of each excerpt. I requested a few of them and wrote a bunch down to check out further! Thank you so much for doing this!! Keep up the good work!!
Such a brilliant idea, a sneak peak at some of the books coming out this autumn and winter. A great way to sit in the sun and plan what to read snuggled up against the cold.
There are 44 different offerings including 12 debut novels, 11 factual books, and the rest are from established fiction writers.
I couldn't read this as an entire book but am enjoying dipping into it and it will definitely help me organise some of my future reading.
I was able to read a copy of this book thanks to Netgalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it to anyone who likes to try before you buy or look for new authors to enhance their libraries.
It is a truly exciting day when Publisher's Lunch releases their latest edition of Buzz Books. It makes me so happy! I drop everything and binge read this from cover to cover, several times. Each time I find something new and notable.
In fiction, I am looking forward to reading JT Ellison's Good Girls Lie, Lisa Jewell's The Family Upstairs, TM Logan's 29 Seconds, Kira Peikoff's Mother Knows Best, and Catherine Steadman's Mr. Nobody.
In nonfiction, I want to read the books by Malcolm Gladwell, Alicia Keys, and Hoda Kotb.
Thank you Publisher's Lunch for an extensive compilation of up and coming books and compelling excerpts that pique my interest in what's publishing this fall and winter.
