This story concentrates almost entirely on the sex drives of Natalie, a sports reporter and Quinn, an NFL star making a comeback. The plot is thin and if one skips the sexual innuendos the story can be read in fifteen minutes.

As always, an enjoyable read from Liz Lincoln. I look forward to more books from this author / series.

I received an ARC of this book through #Netgalley in exchange for and honest review.
Hmmmmm, well I am usually one to try to write a pretty good review, giving pros and cons for myself and my preferences only, I am so excited to be a part or Netgalleys program and I make a point to choose authors that I haven’t read at least 90% of the time.
This book just wasn’t too exciting for me. Maybe the predictability of it? I’m not sure what exactly didn’t do it for me, but it is still a worthy read. Lots of “pros” such as good writing style, good supporting characters, strong main characters. There is baggage, sure but but we all have baggage, LOL! The characters were the type that were facing struggles, but still trying to improve their lives and enjoy the people in it.
It wasn’t a 5 star read for me, but not many are truthfully. This is an author that I would definitely read again to see if it was just this book or it’s content that wasn’t super exciting for me, but if you like football and strong characters, you shouldn’t hesitate to try this one out!

Quinn has spent two years off the field recovering from addiction and is ready to win a Super Bowl title with his new team. There's only one problem. He's going to have to face reporter Natalie in the locker room. She's his former girlfriend and the love of his life, and she also wrote the article that put all of his laundry on display... the good, the bad and the ugly. Can he maintain his sobriety? Can they find peace? Can they find their way back to a love lost?
I love this series and this title didn't disappoint! I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is a second chance football romance. I love that there was angst and it was slow burn yet steamy. I have to admit I like On the Line (book 1) in the series better. I am curious if Matt the quarterback will get his own book. if so I would so read it.

Quinn Lowry has spent the last two years getting his life back on track, and regaining his focus on whats important to him... his football career. He once had everything he could want out of life, but his addictions got in the way and not only cost him his career, but also the woman who once owned his heart. Now after lots of hard work and dedication he is back on the turf and ready to get back to playing. But that also means facing the one woman wrecking crew who derailed his perfect life two years ago, his ex, beat reporter Natalie Griffith.
Home Field Advantage pulled me in almost instantly and had me flying through pages to see if if these two would be able to find common ground after such a heartbreaking separation. It was a well crafted story brimming with hope, healing, passion, and heart squeezing emotion that had the tears welling a couple of times. These two had a lot of healing and making amends to do, but underneath all that hurt there was also a deep seated attraction that neither could deny. One that kept drawing them in, and forcing them to face the fact that they belonged together. This was such a wonderful addition to the series, the words were addictive, and the characters were hard not to love! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I am rating this book as just ok. I enjoy sports romances and I liked other books by this author. I just felt this one was way too drawn out. It started to get exciting during the last part of the book. I felt Natalie was a bit flaky at times. And the back and forth between her and Quinn, both constantly in their heads for the most of the book, made for boring reading. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

A sexy romp through a fictitious NFL team. Quinn and Natalie were college sweethearts until Quinn's alcoholic ways became too much for football and Natalie. Now he's making a comeback and Natalie is the writer assigned to the team. Sizzles and delivers on story line.
Copy provided by the Publisher and NetGalley

Quinn was riding high on life and ended up in rehab for his alcohol and pill abuse. He had to fight hard to get back to his NFL body and prove that he was back. Natalie was his college sweetheart who up and left him before he became an NFL star. Being thrown together Quinn and Natalie have to fight their attraction that has never died on his new team. Things I liked were they shared a love of cars together and would work on them.
I enjoyed seeing past couples and can't wait for more in this series.

I'm not much of a football fan (American football to clarify), hockey is more my jam, but I've definitely found the type of sexy adult romances that I am into -- Sports Romances! Home Field Advantage by Liz Lincoln is actually a third in a series, but you so totally can read these out of order. The couples in the other two books are mentioned and are side-characters in this story, but really this story is about a second chance romance between old lovers. I was totally here for it.
Right out of college I pursued Sports Journalism, but there were a lot of factors why it just wasn't the right career for me. (Long hours, still living with over protective and overbearing parents, not really caring about sports other than ice hockey), so reading about Natalie being so focused on her career was fun to read about. It was really annoying that she had to deal with a boss that wanted the gossipy stuff and not things with more substance. I worked for men when I was in the field, so I never remember really seeing stuff like this in our reporting or blog posts. So I do take a little pause at this conflict in the story, but that was only my experience, so perhaps other female sports reports have dealt with this issue. I think it really depends on the publication.
It did slightly bother me that Quinn seemed to blame everything wrong in his career on Natalie. I was really glad that we see he is in therapy about his substance abuse and is really trying hard to stay the course. So I am glad there is a scene with his therapist where she gets him to come to the conclusion that was really unfair of him. Quinn was a really brave character, and it was cool to see such a positive take on mental health and wanting to overcome addiction.
I really loved the two of these getting back together and just laughed when they agreed that it was just physical. HAHAH, okay, you two will see. The romance scenes are pretty detailed, so if that's not your thing you might want to butt out on this book. That used to not be my thing, but I've kind of gotten over that. Sometimes I want to read a sweet romance that is tame, sometimes I want to read stuff with a lot of sex scenes, and that's totally okay.
I definitely think I am going to check out the other books in this series. If you like Sport Romances, I would definitely recommend this one.

I received an arc of this title for an honest review. I read about half of this book but it did not keep my attention. I feel like maybe I have read books far too similar to this one and that's why it was such a struggle. Will still order a copy for the collection.

Quinn and Natalie have to forgive each other!
Milwaukee Dragons football player Quinn Lowry is still angry with his ex-girlfriend sports writer Natalie Griffith for writing the article that got him suspended from playing football for two years for drug and alcohol abuse and he hadn’t forgiven her for it. Quinn had went to rehab and worked his way back to trying to make the team at training camp with Natalie covering the team for sports news site. Natalie had gotten the job with the company on the strength of her article about Quinn that she wrote from public knowledge and talking to other players. Natalie was being forced by her boss to write an expose on Quinn’s return that she didn’t want to do because he didn’t need the stress trying to keep his sobriety and stay away from temptations. Natalie had a very good reason why she wanted Quinn to stop but he thought he was stronger but until they finally talked to each other they never knew the cause.
A lot of problems can be solved by talking to each other but Natalie and Quinn had to finally accept each other had reasons and forgive each other for not talking.
Home Field Advantage by Liz Lincoln shows that love alone doesn’t solve problems until you find the root cause of the issue. I liked Home Field Advantage and many other sports romance readers will too.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Liz Lincoln can do no wrong and is a PURE GENIUS for thinking up the Milwaukee Dragons. Once again, another 10 star winner in this series. I adored the chemistry between the hero and heroine and am a sucker for a reunited lovers story. This book was not without its fair share of drama and nail=biting situations. I loved them all and am hopeful that there are many more books in the Milwaukee Dragons series! Liz really knows how to set a scene, make you fall in love with her characters, and leave you wanting MORE!

I've read Liz Lincoln's books before and enjoy her sports romances. This story was second chance between Quinn and Natalie. They dated in college and now he is in the NFL and she's a reporter. It's nothing new in sports romance but Liz Lincoln does it well. Our reporter still has feelings for Quinn but his drinking in college and into his career really kept them apart. He had to leave football for rehabilitation and recovery was underway when he meets up with Quinn again. They still were hot for each other. They both had to grow and communicate better what had failed.
Good reading.

The introduction of any series can make it or break it and this unfortunately didn't grip me enough in the beginning to leave me hanging on. The writing style wasn't the best, the characters seem juvenile and there wasn't anything particularly interesting about the read from the get-go.

Quinn is a professional football player who was out of the league for two years while he battled an alcohol addiction. He hasn’t returned to the game with a new team. There is just one complication. His new team has gotten into bed with a reporter who was Quinn’s college sweetheart. Only, she broke his heart and later wrote a scathing article about him that caused him to be fired from his old team. The thing is they are both still hot for each other and maybe even still in love. Can two people with a lot of baggage, both individually and separately, make a relationship work?
This is the third book in a series about the Milwaukee Dragons football team. I look forward to the next book!

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. Quinn Lowry and Natalie Griffith were college sweethearts. Before graduation, and Quinn’s draft in the NFL, Natalie left in the middle of the night and broke up with him via email. Five years later, Natalie is the Sports reporter who wrote an expose about Quinn’s off the field problems that halted his career. Quinn is now two years sober and trying to resurrect his career with the Milwaukee Dragons. Of course Natalie is a reporter that is covering them, and is shadowing his roommate. This is a classic enemies to lovers/second chance sports romance. I really liked Quinn and his realistic struggles with his sobriety. Natalie did drive me a bit crazy, her occupation is all about communication, but she had problems with communicating in her personal life. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend this series.

This is the third book in the Milwaukee dragons series, this is Natalie and Quinn’s book, Natalie is a beat reporter for the dragons football league, three years ago she wrote an expose on her ex-boyfriend Quinn and she feels guilty about destroying his career although everything he did was his own doing. Quinn is back and has a second chance in the NFL he’s now sober and working his butt off to not blow his second chance even if the woman who broke his heart is still around he’s not going to blow this chance! They both decide that maybe one final night together will give them both the much-needed closure but Natalie’s boss wants another expose on Quinn! I’ve read this whole series the first book was unbelievably awesome the second book was OK but this book ,I don’t know I just could not get into it it was OK it was well worth reading but It was definitely not my favorite I suggest reading this series and you’ll probably like this book too but it wasn’t anywhere close to the first book. Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Natalie and Quinn's story. If you like football romances you will probably like this one. I struggled a bit with this in the beginning, as it doesn't show Natalie in a good light. She left Quinn years ago, then wrote a article that did a lot of damage to his career. Now he is playing ball in her town, where she is a sports reporter, and they butt heads a lot. Naturally, that means hot sex is coming. I would recommend this book, but it is easy to put down and come back to later.
