A Story Like Ours is a great conclusion to Sam and Lucy's story. I enjoyed the characters and their storylines. Sebastian was my absolute favorite. Everyone deserves a Bas in their lives. I love sports romances. This was my first boxing romance. I had such empathy for Lucy's feelings and fears throughout the story. I would recommend this duology to other romance readers. Thanks Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the ARC of this title.

Nikki’s Review:

At the end of my review for the first part of this duet, I said that I wasn’t sure where else the story could go. I thought maybe the characters didn’t need more page time, and things could have wrapped up in one book. I was wrong. Really wrong. There was so much more story to tell.

I think the second part of this duet was even more of an emotional storm than the first part. Lucy and Sam are together. Lucy has decided to grab ahold of what she wants and needs, which is Sam. Yay! I mean, Sam is amazing and I couldn’t help but love him to bits.

The couple have barely had a chance to find their footing in this new relationship when everything is turned upside down again. There are two major surprises, one that is completely wonderful, and the other is heart wrenchingly tragic. Oy! I snot and bawled through so much of this book.

I don’t want to give too much away because I think it would be doing the reader a disservice. This book is best felt from a firsthand experience. Just know that Sam and Lucy haven’t necessarily found their HEA yet. They have some pretty big obstacles to overcome. But the one thing that remains constant is their love for each other.

Robin Huber is a new to me author, and she has quickly become an author that I’ll read from now on. Her writing is superb. She really makes you care about her characters. This was an absolutely amazing duet, and A Story Like Ours, was an outstanding ending. I’m actually going to miss Sam and Lucy. This duet needs to be read in order, starting with A Love Like Yours. Read it!!!

A Story Like Ours by Robin Huber is the conclusion to Sam and Lucy’s story. This one picks up where we left off in the first book, which must be read first. In this one, we see Sam and Lucy continue their romance and we see them maneuver around challenges in their lives. But their love is strong and something they want and will fight for.

This was an emotional story about true love and second chances and look forward to reading more of this author.

This was a wonderful and romantic read. I really enjoyed this. I would highly recommend not only this book, but this author as well!

Ah. A second chance romance between two people - Sam and Lucy- who have know each other since childhood. I missed the first book but that wasn't a problem as Huber does a good job of explaining what's happened in the past. These two have loved each other for years, even when they were separated by time, space, and other lovers. Sam's a boxer (and there's a fair amount about his boxing in this); Lucy is in the art world. Together, though, they make a good pair. There's tough stuff here and you will root for them. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A light good read.

The perfect series for romance lovers. This is the second book, after A Love Like Yours. The book had everything: angst, romance, great characters, and so many feelings. I likes the story and enjoyed the character arcs a lot. Please stop reading this and go pick ul this series!

THIS BOOK😍 If you love romance books, you should definitely get your hand on this series by Robin Huber!! I was in love with the first book, but I think this one stole the show for me. It was everything that I could’ve wanted after finishing the last book, minus a few things that I’m still heartbroken about! This book made me cry so many times (sad and happy tears). I love romance books but it’s so hard with stand-alone’s when the couple finally gets together in the end and then the book ends and their story is done. With this story, I’m so glad it was continued into another book. I read a few books in between reading these two and as soon as I read the first page, I was immediately swept back up into their world. This book has so many swoon worthy moments, including every single time Sam calls her “Lamb”. This book and series is a very easy five stars from me and I’m so surprised that I haven’t heard more buzz about it. If this review hasn’t convinced you, I will leave you with this quote “Lucy, I’ve loved you since I was twelve years old. We didn’t have much back then, but I had everything, because I had you.” This second chance romance featuring an athlete’s first book is out and you can preorder this one while you read the first so that you have it in your hands when it’s released on June 18th! Thank you so much to Netgalley and Forever Publishing for giving me this eARC in exchange for my honest review! Go get your hands on this series!

This series is so fan-freaking-tastic! These books are unputdownable. You'll laugh, tear up, and want to throw your kindle several times. But in the end it's so worth it. I absolutely adored this book, and the previous one. Keep them coming, Robin!

Book provided by NetGalley and publisher. Opinions are my own.
I'm not crying! You're crying! Wait, I am crying! This book is fabulous! What a wonderful romance. I am so happy for Sam and Lucy. The back story of them being in the system together then coming back together years later brings you in and pulls you further in to their story. The struggle of being who you are, but also being who others want you to be is hard for anyone much less someone in the public view. Read this book! It is awesome! I also like how Robin builds you in to the story. I ended up staying up all night reading this book because I could not put it down.

A Story Like Ours is the sequel to A Love Like Yours. I was grateful to be able to read them back to back as the first book did end with a bit of a cliffhanger.

In this book, a significant portion of the book actually revolves around Sam's boxing career. It felt a little like Rocky at times, which was fine with me. While the main focus is still Sam and Lucy's continuing romance, we also get more exposure to the secondary characters and are able to connect with and feel more invested in them. I, personally, wish I had a friend like Sebastian. What a special guy! Lucy really needs him almost as much as Sam at times!

Sam and Lucy face several major challenges in A Story Like Ours and they have to work to hold their relationship together. It isn't easy but they are committed to each other and it shines through. It really is beautiful to see their second chance at love bloom and grow.

There were a few points in this book where I felt that too much unnecessary detail was provided. However, that could just be me. Overall, I found it to be a very enjoyable book which wrapped up Lucy and Sam's story nicely and provided an epilogue which not only gave the reader a glimpse into the future of our favorite couple but for their friends as well. I'm impressed by Robin Huber's debut duet and recommend it for those who are fans of second chance and/or sport romances.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A Story Like Ours is the continuation of Sam and Lucy's story and picks up right where the first book left off. It is not a standalone and should only be read after A Love Like Yours.

I enjoyed getting to see Sam and Lucy's relationship evolve and grow after everything they experienced in book 1. It was sweet to see them reconnect and fulfill the wishes they made together as teenagers. The book felt like a giant extended epilogue and tied up all the loose ends. The majority of the story is again told from Lucy's POV, but Sam does have a chapter sprinkled in here and there. I'm not completely sure that two books were really needed to tell Sam and Lucy's story, but it was still nice to see them come full circle as well as dive deeper into secondary characters like Tristan and Sebastian.

Overall, this was a sweet second chance/sports romance duet and a wonderful debut by Robin Huber.

*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

This book was recommended to me by my TwitterBestie, Estelle aka Publicist extraordinare from Forever Romance. This book is part of a duet, with a HEA and cliffhanger. (see above note about spoilers, you know where to find me).

This book is angsty AF. But it is appropriate. Lucy and Will meet in foster care as tweens. Sam becomes Lucy’s protector and naturally they fall in love. Their love is destroyed when Sam is sent to prison on drug charges. Flash forward 7ish years and they reconnect. Lucy is now working to establish an art gallery. Sam is a famous boxer. At one point I almost messaged Estelle with an eye roll emoji, but I actually enjoyed this book a lot. The flashbacks of childhood Lucy and Sam were near perfect for me.

In current day, Lucy is engaged to another man. But remember that life and love is messy and I like seeing that reflected in my romance novels. It’s never really in question who Lucy is going to pick. She may have thought so, but as the reader I never doubted it.

Some bigger quibbles- there are a few “not like other girl” descriptors happening in this book and I hate them. It didn’t make me stop reading though. But I saw them and I am calling them out. Also, Lucy was so dependent on these men. Her fiance owns the gallery and Sam offers to buy it when they reconnect. Sam and Drew get in to some verbal altercations and I wish that Lucy had stood up for herself more. But the actions that Lucy took and didn’t take seemed pretty authentic to her character. I was definitely invested in their love story and will be reading the next book.

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a perfect ending to Sam and Lucy's story! I couldn't have asked for a better one! A Story Like Ours picks up right where A Love Like Ours left off. Thankfully, I was able to snag this second book because the first ended in quite the cliffhanger! Lucy and Sam face many obstacles, together and apart. This book takes them through loss and new beginnings. I truly enjoyed this duet and loved all the characters involved. It was such a beautiful story of second chances and true love. We finally get the HEA for these two and it was perfect. The epilogue was also a treat. I love getting a little glance into the future!

When I finished the first book and was left with a cliff hanger I was frustrated, to say the least. Being able to get the second book I jumped right in and finished it the same day. Still a very good story and a few times you think that Lucy is maybe wanting to be with Drew, even though you know as the reader the author is taking you through all of the emotions she is going through with the new changes in her life. The author takes you through a love story but also what couples go through when losing someone close to them, to change in their life whether job or situation. How you may plan for something and it comes before you want it to. So yes both of the characters take you on a journey but the author really makes it a true love story. When you get to the last part of the book and the epilogue you know you are coming to the end of this ride with these two characters. All of the characters in this story were good and the author has done a wonderful job of taking you on a journey with them. A very good book.

This book starts at the point where book 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Fortunately I had this book ready-to-read.

Lucy and Cole face obstacles in their life together, and it is true that joy and heartache are close. I had some issues how Lucy handled her relationship with her ex, but overall I thought she was great in supporting Cole. Even when he was hurting deep, she was there for him and never stood in the way of his dreams. And we finally get a wonderful HEA for these two, just as a romance should end!

I really enjoyed this story. Sometimes it was a bit too cheesy or dramatic but I loved the romance between Lucy and Cole and that is what it is all about! I do think the story could have been told in one book but in duets you get an extended story and in this case it is not annoying or too much. Well done.

Not my usual type of read, but once I start a series, I usually need closure. This will get a good response from general public, it was well written.

A very romantic sweet story. A bit cloying in parts but entertaining enough. Not exactly a masterpiece of fiction, but good enough as a beach read.
