I can’t believe I waited so long to read NAUGHTY STRANGER! I loved Peyton and Boone and I want more!! Peyton moves to the small town of Stoney Creek after a tragic loss to start over. Boone is healing from his own hurts. I was rooting for these two from their very first encounter. I loved this small town murder mystery with just the right amount of spice.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. This was a fun read. The plot was predictable but was still enjoyable.

Peyton was an absoluteeee bad ass.
Y’all know I love a good cop romance and was obsessed with Boone from the beginning.
And their dynamic together *chefs kiss*
This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you
I loved Naughty Stranger. Stacey Kennedy is an amazing storyteller and I couldn’t put this book down. Absolute perfection!
Romance and suspense in a small town setting with suspense that can keep you up at night because you cannot put it down. There were lifelong friendships, histories, characters with strong will and personality and you just fell in love with the whole town. Absolutely recommend this book to anybody who wants a cozy, warm suspense story.
Naughty Stranger is a romantic suspense story that surprises, comforts, and satisfies the reader.
Peyton Kerr has come to Stoney Creek, Maine to start a new life after the death of her husband in a car accident. She doesn’t want to talk about the past, preferring to leave her previous life in Seattle behind her.
But that proves impossible when a cleaning woman is killed inside her shop-and there is too much resemblance between them to be comfortable. Enter her very own Knight-Boone Knight, one of the town’s cops, who is immediately as smitten with Peyton as she is with him. Both agree to nothing serious, but that rule quickly falls by the wayside. Can Boone convince Peyton she needs him as more than a bodyguard/sex toy before a killer is successful?
Peyton is a strong woman, although a little too hung up on not discussing the past. Boone is a delicious alpha male, protective, possessive, and caring and the sparks that fly between the two could light a fire in the snow.
This was a delightful read with likeable characters, a complex plot, and some steamy hot sex scenes.
Not a fan. I had a very difficult time with this one. The chemistry between the H/h just didn't work for me, felt forced. I hoped it would get better but in the end, it was just "meh" for me.
This was definitely the first romance + psychological thriller that I’ve ever read and it was unlike anything I’d read in the romance genre. It was different and unexpected and had me on the edge of my seat speed reading through the last couple chapters. Peyton and Boone were two individuals who were sadly damaged by their past and sought out an escape in the form of a small town. Sadly the past does come back to haunt them, biting them where they least expect it and in the worst possible ways.
This book will definitely have you rooting down to the end for these two amazing main characters and hoping against hope that the past won’t murder them in the end.
I received an ARC from NetGalley for this Naughty Stranger book. I enjoyed it so much, I love a good story where people get second chances at love. I like it more when there is some action with my romance, I didn't anticipate a book two but now I cant wait!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really enjoyed this story. There where some parts I wished flowed better but overall really enjoyed 3.5 stars
This was a good read about getting to start over after tragedy hits and you're not sure what to do. I loved all the characters!!
4 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cracked this book open back in May, got a few pages in and put it aside for some insane reason (god knows why- I do these crazy things).........and so my point is....... I really loved this book...it really appealed to me from a romance POV and it was also such a sweet and sexy read.......with just the right amount of heat and suspense.
You really cannot go wrong with Stacey Kennedy IMO.....so I have just now got through kicking myself for not starting this book much sooner.
Peyton and Booone were such a perfect fit together ....I loved them both.....and I really did love all the small town "feels " that this story generated.... and the storyline itself was very well written.....in fact I can't wait to read book 2 "Wicked Sinner" with Asher and Remy.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC and my apologies for not producing my honest review in a more timely fashion. On the plus side though the next book releases 2 days from now - 10/15/2019.
Thanks Netgalley for this ARC to read for my honest opinion!
I really tried to get into this book! But, when the characters have a certain career such as nursing, they should know about that career. I hate giving negative reviews but this is my biggest pet peeve.
Naughty Stranger
This book gave me all the feels! I fell hard for Peyton and Boone. Their relationship evolved very organically, which I liked. There was chemistry from the get go, but Boone knew he needed to tread lightly with Peyton, even if he didn’t like it.
I wasn’t expecting such a detailed suspense aspect of the story. That part of the plot was done amazingly well. I love how protective Boone is. He is now my favourite book boyfriend!
Romances that take place in a small town are my favourite. I feel like you get to know the secondary characters really well, and I’m excited that Boone’s friends, Asher and Rhett, will get books. I’m actually kinda dying for Asher’s story. Good thing the ARC is already loaded on my Kindle!
Peyton escaped to Maine to leave behind her life in Seattle that ended in tragedy. Little did she know that trouble would follow her. Good thing for her she develops some great relationships in Maine that help her through her heartache and the trouble that followed. This was a wonderful read. I look forward to reading even more from this series.
This is a romance with a suspense book. The lead female character has had her life turned upside down in the big city Seattle and getting away to a small town in Maine is her hope of a simple life but also away from the memories of where her husband was killed. Peyton the female character has opened a lingerie shop. Boone is the main male character and detective and rides a motorcycle. He is not looking for a relationship because his wife betrayed him and so he moved back to his home town. The two meet because her store is vandalized and he starts asking questions but something about her answers seems off so he begins to look a little deeper. Slowly the two of them are put together because someone is out to harm her and he volunteers to watch her. The rest of the story you will have to read and find out what happens. I did like the characters and the times that they are together and their friends. There are times when the story drags a little so there is that, but overall a good story.
Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.
I felt this book was rough, Peyton was a nurse but her inability to know certain nursing stuff was awkward. Boone was a great character but the storyline in my opinion needed some polishing. Chemistry was there but really just small things here and there that I thought a nurse should know but didn’t.
Again this is a great story and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Stacey Kennedy is a superb writer and I love her books.
Peyton has gone through a tragedy and is in Maine for a fresh start. Boone is a detective in the police department. A murder occurs at Peyton's store and puts her in danger. Boone is determined to protect her but she will have to let him get close. Peyton is attracted to Boone but now she will have to let him past her barriers. Can Boone protect Peyton from a murderer? Will the couple be able to have a relationship? A stunning read.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
