Men of Influence is a re-write that delivers enough to be worthy of a second read. I have to admit that when I started reading the book and realized it was an update of a book I had previously read, I almost stopped. I am glad I didn't. The updated stories and a little of update on the focus was fresh enough to make me forget that I had previously read it. As someone who works directly with college students in a faith based organization, the material is critical to what we try to do each week. It's broad enough to be applicable to everyone and specific enough to have a tremendous impact on those in the church of Jesus Christ. If you are a man, I highly recommend reading this book to learn how to benefit from either being a mentor or being mentored by someone else. If you are not a man, buy it for the men in your life, you will be glad to help them reap the benefits of mentoring. Either way, buy the book!
