I've had different leadership experiences and am interested in other perspectives. Part of me thinks that leadership really is dependent on the type of person one is and finding the balance between expectations, empathy, and just getting things done. Exponential Leadership is an interesting perspective and has some valuable pieces of information that can round out the requirements of a good leader.
This book gives valuable information within a story format. I think that it would be very valuable for anyone starting a business, and also for high schoolers in an entrepreneurship class. My older students would enjoy it.
Very nice book in a story-like format. This makes it easy to read and you don't see much theory. I liked the format of the story: thoughts of a leader about leadership and building strong culture. There are a lot of in-depth ideas like difference between "culture" and "belief" in a company and what drives what. Thoughtful read I'd say, recommend for those who are looking to building a company based on inspirational leadership guidelines.
"Exponential Leadership," is a must read for anyone looking to start a business. Not only is it informative, but it is interesting, as it reads almost like a novel. This book is chocked full of good advice and tips for your everyday entrepreneur.
The author takes you on a journey of long term results and not short term results when it comes to work, passion or simply just your relationship with people. His writing is simple given that he sets his stories in the workplace, more like a discussion and conversation with those he works with.
Though his focus on impact is nothing new, it's the way he shows how you can use those daily results or action steps to work towards the long term goal that's amazing.
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC.
