Small town, romance, gossip, lies and mysteries, welcome to Kissel Lake!
Terri Rayburn has a bad reputation and lives her life to avoid further gossip, she lives in the shadow of her “harlot” mother.
The last thing she expects is
Nathaniel Taggert ( Nate) , to be “living” with her while engaged to town royalty !
Nate and Terri has fantastic chemistry, such an ease to their relationship and are perfect for each other ! This town and it’s people, made for a great read, add the towns mysteries and secrets and this is a book not to miss
A beautifully written book. This book has it all, mystery, suspense, love, betrayal. I absolutely love this author.
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley is return for a honest review.
Met Her Match was a mixture of dark and light. It was a good romance story and I really liked the characters and the setting. But it also had a years old mystery that turned dark toward the end. I loved this book. As usual this author never fails to please the readers
Met Her Match was exactly what I was in the mood to read— a sweet romance plus an intriguing mystery equals a fantastic novel! Jude Deveraux is a master at creating endearing characters that you don’t want to say goodbye to! I found myself so completely wrapped up in the storyline that I started and finished this gem in one day! I have always felt Jude Deveraux novels were “a sure thing”, but I’m always so amazed how she comes out with such quality and original books every time! Met Her Match is a 5 star novel that will make you forget the rest of the world (and we all know those are the best kind)! I highly recommend Met Her Match to everyone!
Fantastic addition to the SummerHill series. Nate & Terri meet at the lakeside resort her dad manages. He ends up helping her fix and run things, and they just work well together. After all they're just friends, Nate is engaged to someone else, someone who is the total opposite of Terri. That is what he wants, isn't it? Add in the mystery of Terri's Mom disappearing when she was little, andyou get another wonderful story from Jude Deveraux. Great summer read.
I have always been a fan of Jude Deveraux and she strikes gold again with Met Her Match. In my opinion the sign of a great book is one that I do not want to put down once I have started it and that is certainly true for this book. This book has romance, mystery, alpha males and strong female characters. I do not retell the story as so many people do in their review as I think it spoils it. Jude always has well developed characters, plots, and vivid descriptions of the settings for her books. Do not miss out on this great read by a fantastic author!
Another great book by Jude Deveraux filled with good characters, romance and mystery, and a great setting in a small town.
Interesting story, and a little darker than I expected. Good plot twists that kept me interested throughout. Story starts with Terri seeing a handsome man come out of the lake and come into her house. He is not known to her, and naturally she gets upset. Turns out Nate was put into her house by her uncle, and naturally sparks start to fly. Only problem is that he is engaged to marry the mayor's daughter, who is currently in Italy for 3 weeks. Throw in a lot of years of gossip and division between the lake vs the town people, and then throw is a murder mystery and you have a great story. Highly recommend this one, and found it hard to put down.
Terri loves working at the lake resort with her dad. She can handle any problem there, but dealing with the townspeople is another matter. Word is that her mother ran off with another man when Terri was two and that has caused her to be bullied all her life. People keep accusing her of being a tramp like her mom but that couldn't be farther from the truth.
When Nate shows up in her house, Terri smells a rat and wants to know why her family would deliberately set her up with a man engaged to the Mayor's perfect daughter. Nate tries to resist his feelings for Terri but he can't. Great well-written characters and plot make this romance a great read. I highly recommend it!
A light easy read, exactly what I love! I read this book quickly, and it was a great romancey type light story.
