Guy Hightower has cut off corporate donations to Olivia's Christmas charity. That's huge for her and now she's going to have a tough time making a happy holiday for families in Pine River. She's got a lot on her mind but she does stop and pick up the guy by the side of the road- his Maserati isn't exactly made for snow, among other things. Funny thing- he turns out to be Guy. You know, don't you, that it helps that Guy gives her an alias, allowing both of them to chit and chat without fear of hostility. But that eventually has to come to an end....THanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Yes, this is hokey and yes it would make a good Christmas time movie but sometimes that's just what you need at the end of the day.

Christmas from the heart was sweet story with the spirit of the festive time of the year, about money issues, trust, hope and righting the wrongs.

Both main characters were sweet but hard on business trying to save their organisations. The one getting corporate family own company back into shape and the other one getting enough funds for non-profit charitable organisation "Christmas from the heart."

When Guy Hightower cut the compensation for Livy Berg's organisation she wasn't happy. She tried to get some funds but they ended with sore words and regretful emails.
After he got stranded because of his broken car, she saved him. She let him stay with her and her father until the broken part arrived in the only garage in town of Pine River while he learned how kind and pure her heart was.

He had to see things differently that not everything and everyone could be bought with money, although money is a necessity to help others. To learn the most and valuable .....to love and being able to help.

The attraction was feelable through the pages, their stubbornness unfortunately in a way but I wouldn't want the story any other way.

Another adorable Christmas read with a enemies to lovers romance! Olivia Berg has no idea that the man she rescues from the side of the road is none other then the ceo of the big name company trying to shut down her charity she runs for people in need in her hometown of Pineriver and Guy the ceo of said company has no plans of letting her find out who he is but of course things never go that easily! The adorable small town community with such amazing character's who genuinely love and care for each other were heartwarming to read about and the seemingly heartharded mean guy trying to mess things up who actually isn't as scrooge like as he seems are delightful and makes for a quick cute holiday romance read!

I like Ms Roberts books and I liked this heartwarming and sweet Christmas story.
It's full of Christmas spirit and it made smile and root for the characters.
Ms Roberts can surely write a book that will keep you hooked and this one was no exception.
I appreciated the well written cast of characters, the lovely setting and the atmosphere.
It made me wish it was already Christmas.
A good reading experience, recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Oliva Berg is a caring and hardworking soul who wants nothing more than to put smiles on people's faces around the holiday. When her charity loses a major donor due to their lack of fund Oliva is devastated but determined.
Guy Hightower is the CFO of Hightower Enterprises and he is putting in long hours just to keep his families company afloat. When Guy ends up stranded on the side of the road the last person he expects to save him is Oliva Berg.
I found this story to be a struggle for me as I felt the first 1/4 of the book put a bad taste in my mouth. The characters came across as childish and annoying. While the story did get better I was tempted to put the book down before it got better.

This is filled with things that I love - a nice family drama, a new romance, and the holiday season, but I found some things difficult in this particular story. I found the main character initially whiny and demanding, and I dislike when secrets drive the storyline. However, the characters both showed growth and depth as the novel progressed, and the details and themes were fun and interesting. Overall, I enjoyed it and look forward to more!

Loved this book. Great characters, easy read, uplifting, funny, romantic and charming. A really nice story that is the perfect escapist read.

I think this was a pretty decent take on a modern day scrooge story. You have Olivia who runs a charity Christmas from the Heart, and Guy the CFO of Hightower Enterprises that refuses to donate to her charity even though they always have in the past.

I didn't like how pushy Olivia was in trying to get money, she was outright rude which doesn't really work in the charity world. You also have Guy who feels guilty and may have come around if not for her insults but his business is also struggling.

The chance encounter, leads Guy to hide who he is, and of course inevitably comes to have feelings for Olivia. The ending wasn't really my style. Not sure why it had to be taken that far, or waited that long. Mason the good town boy was made to look like a simpleton which wasn't really fair or kind, which I would appreciate in a feel good holiday story.

Overall it was ok, but not great.

Pretty good. Needed more sizzle.

I really enjoyed the premise of the story. Holiday time is the perfect time to give to others and that’s what this book is all about.

However, things didn’t quite go so well for me with the story. I really did not connect well with the female lead, Olivia. She was rude and abrupt and acted as if she was owed something just because she ran a nonprofit. While that is a big part of the story, just the way it came off to me was not pleasing.

I also had a little difficulty actually connecting with the romance. While she was being short and abrupt, he was supposedly finding her cute and adorable. It just didn’t work for me and I really felt no connection between the two of them. Plus, Guy let the lie go on way too long.

The story itself has a lot of potential. It offers a unique solid classic romance that gives us a glimpse of a typical small town in the US which I enjoyed. Many of the supporting characters were nicely developed and added a lot of interest.

Christmas From the Heart is a good story but I really wanted more connection in the character and romance department to seal the deal for me.

A nice hallmark movie in book form! It was a little bland for me but I thought the message was nice. I thought it was a little repetitive in the beginning though. She couldn't get over the fact that a big corporation dropped them for the annual donation and he couldn't get over his guilt about it. After it was repeated a few times, I had to skim through certain sections.

The female lead also made me mad in the way she led on Morris even though she didn't really have feelings for him!

Overall 2.5 stars for me.

This book reminded me of Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movies, and that's definitely a good thing! Maybe one day this will be a movie?! Olivia has a charity that's mission is to provide food and gifts to the less fortunate in her small town. She asks Guy to donate to her charity but he turns her down which means Olivia can't fulfil her mission. Then Guy's fancy car breaks down on the side of the road it's Olivia that ends up coming to the rescue and picks him up. Sparks fly immediately between the two. I think the story is well written, loved the clean romance, great HEA and lovely Christmas spirit.

This book surprised me so much. Olivia is the CFO of Christmas from the Heart a non profit. Guy Hightower is the CFO of Hightower Enterprises and this year he decided not to donate to Olivia’s charity. As in real life, life happens and Guy finds himself stranded some miles out from the small town that happens to be Pine River where Olivia lives. She also happens to be the beautiful girl that pick up the stranded Guy Hightower. As in any romance you have to build trust and learn how to forgive. Hopefully these two can get it together to be together and the sparks fly in this wonderful story all the way to the last page.

2.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a story about a girl named Olivia who can’t seemed to get passed the fact that Hightower Enterprises won’t give their yearly contribution to her nonprofit called, Christmas from the Heart.
And through a series of events these two people end up together and find out it’s a very merry Christmas.
Olivia got on my nerves and I found myself skimming just to finish. It could of been much better. I think I might stop reading Christmas stories because they just feel like novellas to me.
This was a NETGALLEY gift and all opinions are my own.

I could not leave feedback for this book because the book that downloaded was a book by Gena Showalter I don't know the title it may be Frost and Flame (Gods of War) but I did not read it. I will leave 4 stars so I can put this through..

Christmas from the Heart by Sheila Roberts. I love Christmas stories and this one was extra special because Livi was always trying to make sure the people in her little town had a merry Christmas.🎁🎄 Morris was always trying to get her to date him but she is always looking for someone special.

Olivia Berg runs a non-profit organization that helps those in need have the Christmas they deserve. Her organization depends upon the generosity of its donors, but suddenly one of the biggest ones since the beginning has decided not to donate this year. Olivia desperately to change the mind of the Scrooge-like CFO, Guy Hightower, but the harder she tries the more Guy digs his heels in.

Guy believes he's just being practical and that his family business, Hightower Enterprises, needs to scale back a bit and that means you can't share what you don't have to spare. After car troubles leaves Guy stranded on the side of the road, he's saved by a pretty girl and taken to the local town of Pine River. Then he discovers his savior is none other than Olivia Berg herself. Can Guy make it out of town before she discovers his true identity? And what's a Scrooge to do when he starts falling for the same girl he turned down?

I went into this knowing it would be pretty corny, but it was even a bit too much for me. I didn't really love the story line, and I actually wasn't a huge fan of the characters as well. I felt Olivia was a bit too entitled and a little rude, and Guy sort of bored me. The whole thing just played out like a Hallmark movie and not a particular good one. All in all, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

If for no other reason than the generosity of the inhabitants of the area, this book needs to be read, to remind everyone how Christmas is supposed to be. Olivia has taken over the reins of a non-profit that insures residents of the town all have a happy Christmas, but when her largest donor who has always been so generous in the past has to deny her a large contribution she takes it personally and sparks begin to fly. Once again a idealized version of a small town - oh if only there were more like it.

If you are a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies than this is the book for you! I can easily see this one as the plot to a movie. Guy turns down a charity donation to Olivia and now her charity can't fulfill their mission to provide Christmas gifts and food to the less fortunate in her small town. And when Guy's flashy car breaks down on the side of the road who should happen to pick him up? This was a clean but predictable holiday romance to get people in the holiday spirit.

Cute little holiday read. Olivia runs a Christmas charity and has an uphill battle in securing donations from individuals and corporations. Guy is the CFO of his family business, and has learned that cuts needs to be made when the times get rough. Olivia and Guy have tense emails shared over donation opportunities, and Olivia's stress level is elevated. The next thing you know, Olivia comes across a man on the side of the road next to a broken down car. She picks him up, invites him to stay in her home when local lodging is full, and there is the potential for a little romance to blossom. Realistic? Maybe not, but all in good holiday fun!
