While I do like her written I'm just not enjoying it like I use to .With that said I don't think she's the author for me any more, so as as right now I'm sad to say that I'm DNF her books
Jonah is working on making his business a success while Virginia is embarking on her business requiring marriagebtobaccess funds. Another good tale from the Grant brother's series.
Jonah and Virginia enter into a marriage of convenience that will fulfill her grandmother’s will. After all they both had something to gain in their businesses. He helped build up her business and offered suggestions that would help it grow. What he didn’t anticipate was actually falling in love and becoming a father. Love requires compromise and sometimes you have to really listen to your partner. Great continuation of the series.
Jonah and Virginia's partnership in "The Cowboy's Contract Marriage" was a fun and enjoyable read. The title gives you the basis for the storyline, but as with all fun romance reads, things never quite happen the way they are planned. Growing up together, they now come from different places and want different things. But when they make a bargain with each other so they both can get something they want, things have a way of not turning out quite as they planned. Great afternoon read that will leave you smiling, **I was gifted "The Cowboy's Contract Marriage" from Netgalley & Relay Pub.** giving my honest opinion based on my reading. 4 Stars!
Great read. Couldn't put this book down. Always love a good cowboy story with a happily ever after. Cant wait for the next book.
The second book in the Grant Brothers series. This has Jonah having a meeting with his longtime friend Virginia. The two of them grew up together. Now finding out that she would like to buy/ rent the old barn on his property and use it for destination weddings, is a shock. Why would anyone want to get married in the old barn? After listening to her offer he agrees. Now when she comes back much later she is drinking much champagne and tells Jonah that the deal is off. Her fiancé ran off and so there for her inheritance from her grandmother she thought she was going to receive she is not. She has to be married and that does not look like it is happening. Jonah has already committed himself to that money. Being a horse breeder he saw this as an opportunity to grow his business. Everything is falling apart and he comes up with the idea that they should get married. After some thought, they are at the courthouse and are Mr. and Mrs. Jonah Grant. The problem will be can they stay married or even want to. This is a funny book at times but also one with feelings and emotions. A very good story with two strong lead characters.
Second book in the series, with Jonah and Virginia's story. A quick read with likeable characters. Wish it was a bit longer, but otherwise one I highly recommend.
The unexpected marriage between Virginia and Jonah was simply a means to get at Virginia’s inheritance but turned into something deeper as time went by. The book is well written and is a great love story. I would highly recommend this book as a great read.
Book two in the Grant Brothers, The Cowboy’s Contract Marriage was an enjoyable engaging read. I like the characters, the interaction and storyline and look forward to reading more
I will admit this was a really sweet novella romance from Leslie North. It is what romance readers love is when two people figure out what the rest of the world already knew which is how perfect they are for each other. Leslie North is about to make quick work out a few pages that will have readers falling in love with two characters who are set on making their life and work the only focus in life until they realized they are each others better half.
The story is a reminder that sometimes we need someone in our lives even when we believe we have everything we need we might not see what is missing until it leaves.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for a copy of Leslie North The Cowboy's Contract Marriage.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is book 2 in a series but reads well as a stand alone. I didn't really like this book. I found it to be superficial and very fake. Can't imagine this happening at all. No real heat/emotion between Virginia and Jonah-they both just seemed blah with no chemistry. I rate this a 3.
The second book in Leslie North’s Grant Brothers is an enjoyable story of two independent people set on their specific career paths, and the bumps and turns that create chaos and enlightenment along the way.
Jonah and Virginia are true polar opposites, until their combined effects to get both businesses up and running, builds a unique bond that sees them working seamlessly, side by side. But as with all good stories, there are bound to be some unexpected snags, and The Cowboy's Contract Marriage provides a clanger.
This book has a genuine plot, believable storyline and most of all, interesting and vulnerable characters that win you over with their hopes and fears. I can’t wait to read what Ms North has in store for Nate!
Jonah Grant is a horse breeder with dreams of starting his business but doesn’t have the funds, or any means of getting them until an old friend shows up with a proposition for him.
Virginia Leeland wants to build something of her own. Her grandmother has bequeathed funds to her which will become available upon her marriage. But when Virginia catches her fiancé cheating on her the marriage plans end as well as the funds and her business plans.
But Virginia comes up with the plan of her and Jonah getting married "in name only" thereby saving them both from giving up on their business dreams. But along the way the agreement of "in name only" takes on a whole new meaning when passion gets involved. An unexpected surprise happens that can either make it a real marriage or they can decide to go their separate ways.
Book 2 of the Grant Brothers belongs to Jonah Grant and VIrginia Leeland.
Jonah is a struggling horse breeder . He’s found two studs that would help him move his business forward. But he doesn’t have the money, and is not sure he’ll ever get the funds.
Virginia, a childhood friend, was ready to get married and with an inheritance, proposed to Jonah that if he sold her the barn in his land so she could start her wedding event business, he would then have the money for the studs.
But life throws them a curveball when the wedding is called off. That is , until they decide a marriage of convenience would be the answer to all their problems.
It was a predictable sweet story . One to be enjoyed in an afternoon of leisure.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Jonah and Virginia decide to get married so she can get her grandmother's inheritance and set up that wedding business she's always wanted- and what's in it for him? Well, he could make some money upon putting his old family barn to good use.
It's a sweet tale and you can't help but be moved by Jonah's attempts at winning over Virginia- and indeed having her live their lives as a real married couple.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
A great fun read, Jonah actually wins you the reader over as he does Virginia the main character, great writing and chemistry , a lovely fun read
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
The story of Johan and Virginia.
Getting married so she can inherit money to pay for her business venture and in turn help out with his ranch.
But will it soon be more than that?
I gotta tell you. I actually thought at one point that Jonah didn't deserve Virginia. He won her over though, me too. I enjoyed reading, The Cowboy Contract Marriage.
Good story, I like the storyline, and the characters were really sweet. Almost too sweet, scared of talking to each other. I find I like the more detailed stories better, with more family or friend interaction. I did like Jonah and his need to help even though he tried to fight it. Virginia was a little more meek that I would have liked, but she did end up standing up for herself at the end.
