I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
COWBOY UP by Stacy Finz is a good time story about Cash Dalton. Cash and his cousins, Sawyer and Jace inherit their Grandfathers ranch. Cash, a former FBI agent is haunted by his last case. He also finds out he's a father, to a 12 year old daughter! Cash then meets Aubrey, his single next door neighbor. This isn't just about a romance, there's cattle rustling, mystery, infidelity and a run away!
I have read every single book written by Stacy Finz and am so excited for this new Dry Creek Ranch Series. There is nothing that I love more than a good western small town with its amazing people and their love for family, friends, gossip and scandals. It is all there in Cowboy Up from beginning right until the end. You will not be disappointed. Join Cash and Aubrey on their journey as they rebuild their lives. Aubrey was engaged to the town hero who is involved in a cheating scandal that spreads rumors of her and the town's acting Sheriff together only for her to be completely smitten with her new neighbor Cash. Cash is back on Dry Creek Ranch after inheriting the land with his cousins from their grandfather after leaving the FBI after because he is unable to prove the proper killer guilty because of his colleagues. On top of all that, Cash finds out that he has a 12 year old daughter that he never knew about. He falls smitten with his new neighbor and together they help each other out of their tough times and fall deeply in love and turn their lives completely around. I promise you will fall in love with their story and will not be able to wait for the next book in this series.
Cash was an FBI agent but after a case that haunts him, he's burnt out. His grandfather left him and two his cousins a ranch and if he can convince them to sell, he can start over. Jace and Sawyer love the ranch and aren't interested, so for now Cash is working on making his run down ranch house livable. When Cash finds out he has a 12 year old daughter he never knew about, things get even more complicated. Her mother is dead and he has to learn to be a dad to a grieving girl overnight..
When Cash gets a new neighbor, Aubrey, he's attracted to her but his life is too difficult to deal with anything else. She has incurred the wrath of the townspeople by leaving her popular fiancé and word is she was cheating on him. Even though Cash is not a fan of drama, he's drawn to Aubrey and learns that things are not what they seem. I really enjoyed this romance and look forward to the next one in this new series!
Cash is a former special agent with the FBI. He just found out that he has a 12-year or daughter who he now has custody of, and he’s moved to a California ranch that he and his cousins recently inherited from their grandfather.
Aubrey recently called of her engagement to the town hero after catching him cheating with a close friend’s wife. Her ex told the entire town that she cheated on him with his best friend, making her not only persona non grata around town, but also unemployed.
Fireworks go off between Cash and Aubrey, but their lives are beyond complicated. Can two unemployed people with lots of baggage find their way to happily ever after?
It looks like this may be the first book in a series about the cousins. It was a fun and well-written book. I hope to see Cash’s cousins find their own HEAs in future books!
Stacy Finz is one of my top ten favorite authors and she has another great success with Cowboy Up. One of the things I like about Stacy's stories are the settings. She gives such vivid, detailed descriptions of the area and town I feel like I am there. The characters are well developed and interesting. Once I pick up a Stacy Finz book I do not want to put it down until the end and that to me is the sign of a great story and author in my opinion.
I am an ardent fan of Stacy Finz; her books really invest in character and location beautifully.. this is the start of a new series in the same region as her old, the Sierra Nevada. The characters are flawed but human and it’s the type of romance that feels real. I read this book in one sitting (it is a page turner!) and look forward to more from Cash Re and Ellie.
This is cash and Aubrey‘s book it’s the first book in the dry Creek Ranch series, cash is an ex FBI agent he left a haunting case behind him and a bunch of guilt! it also turns out that he’s a father to a 12-year-old girl that he had no idea existed! He definitely has no time for a new romance especially with his hot neighbor Aubrey she’s renting the cottage next-door to his ranch, doesn’t even seem like she likes him either LOL. Aubrey is an interior design decorator she’s trying to make a go of her career and unfortunately she’s at the center of small town gossip, her and her ex is the topic! she has no time for them or the brooding hot sexy ex FBI agent next-door, although she does find him sexy as hell! This book was really good I definitely enjoyed reading this one I’m looking forward to more in the series I’m not big on cowboy romance although it’s very popular right now it’s just not my thing but this one I definitely enjoyed reading I highly recommend it! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
The story of Aubrey and Cash.
Cash is back on his family ranch, after losing his job and his grandfather, and then finding out he is now a single parent to the daughter he never knew he had.
Aubrey lives next door, having left her fiance. Town gossip says she left him for Jace, and she's keeping a secret as to why she really left.
They start to spend time together as she helps him out, but soon they are falling for each other. Is it too soon after the events they have been through recently?
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.
Entertaining and fast paced read.
Small towns are hotbeds of gossip and Dry Creek is no exception. When Aubrey breaks off her relationship with Mitch of course the town takes sides. Throw in a handsome cowboy who used to be an FBI agent, some cattle rustling and a daughter the cowboy didn’t know he had and the gossips have a field day. Ms Finz is a master of telling tales filled with romance, a touch of suspense and drama all set in wonderful fictional small towns. Since there are two other brothers, I’m sure there will be more tales of Dry Creek to follow. I for one am looking forward to reading them.
