What will you do to protect your country?
Military hackers will do whatever needs to be done to protect their country.
Surprises along the way add intrigue to the story.
Enjoyable read.

Deadlock is my first foray into the world Cherrie Lynn – and it makes me a happy camper to be glad that this introduction is the first in a new series – and one that was the epitome of DELICIOUSNESS (yum!).
Jace, our hero is faced with an unwelcome blast from his past – in the form of a face, a woman who destroyed his life in college and set him on a path that he would have never even considered if not for her actions.
But this woman standing in front of him, with the face of his arch enemy, is not her, but her twin sister and she needs his help to find her sister (and the woman he hates the most in the world!). Not that he believes her; until he finds the evidence himself.
Lindsey is the quiet one, the one who is the responsible to the flakiness of her sister – Lindsey is the one who picks up the slack when her sister is the one goes through her flighty phase!
But this time, this time Lindsey knows her sister’s absence is not because of her bouts of flightiness – especially considering the fact that her sister points her to Jace, to get his help in finding her.
The author does a fan – freaking – tastic job of putting in words, the exact kind of push and pull relationship I actually expected from a situation that Jace and Lindsey found themselves.
Adding in the fact that you have a brilliant plotline – a plot that is full of twists and turns that just adds in the suspense and drama of the romance – the author kept you on your toes till the end. In fact, the climax and revelations at the end of the book, made me all the more interested in exactly how this series will go in the future!
But the best part is that the romance is HOT, believable and its about a couple you will root for, from start till the end.

I have chosen not to read/review this title as I was not able to connect with it or recommend it to the readers of our blog page or those who follow my reviews on Goodreads.

I apologize for the delay in this, as sending the negative reviews is something I (clearly) avoid doing for an embarrassingly long time.

Thank you, as always, for the review title.

Jace and Linsey....unrequited feelings, intense chemistry, and a female lead that is a smart coder and gamer. This was a good read and I’d be interested to read about the others’ stories - Sully, Helix, and Drake.

Liked t, didn't love it. Hackers, a missing twin, mystery and romance.I enjoyed Cherrie Lynn's other books, more than I did this one to be honest.

Love!
Deadlock by Cherrie Lynn has it all - a sexy man, a beautiful woman, a mystery, some geeky/techy stuff, and some steamy scenes. The chemistry between Jace and Lindsey just smolders off the page.
The book feels like the first book in a series with the way the epilogue is written but I cannot tell if there will be more.

This is an interesting complex story between two computer specialist. When Lindsay's twin sister went missing she must contact the person who really hates his sister. And because they are twins when they met the hatred is thrown in her way. Jace still holds a grudge toward the person who destroyed his life a decade ago. After the identity clearing, he is prepared to help Linsday find her sister. They start a path which is full of secrets, deception and steamy roll between the sheets. The story has its end but it will continue because there are still secrets that will be revealed in another book.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

I’m a sucker for any stories about hackers, considering I’m married to a network security guy. Cherrie Lynn’s new Hacker World series caught my attention right off the bat, and I found the first book, DEADLOCK, to be engaging and a great start for a new series. Jace Adams was screwed over in college by Lena Morris in a betrayal that led to his expulsion from MIT but settled into a covert team of misfits who test government system vulnerabilities (rather than going to jail). When her twin sister, Lindsey, shows up one day to ask him to find the missing Lena, he’s faced with a huge dilemma. Times are desperate, the complex story has good twists and turns, and the chemistry between Jace and Lindsey is great. My only complaint is the cliffhanger, which I typically don’t like … I like a story to wrap up definitively at the end, even if it’s a long-running series. Guess I’ll have to check out the next installment.

Deadlock is filled with secrets and spies and people who've made enemies. It's always nice to read about someone filled with anger softening towards another person.

Lindsey and Lena are twin sisters with polar opposite personalities. Lindsey is more reserved and Lena is outgoing and into trouble. When Lena disappears, all Lindsey has as a clue is the address of the man Lena betrayed and that she crushed on in college. Jace is not thrilled to see who he thinks is Lena on his doorstep and in trouble. After he finds out it is Lindsey just wanting help to find her sister, he reluctantly agrees to help. An adventure filled romantic ride.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

This was a real fun read, with lots of secrets and ups and downs. Lindsey ends up being way cooler than any one gave her credit for; Jace finally saw a little bit of light at the end of the bitter tunnel; and OMG, I hated Lena, lol.

SUPER curious to read more in this series!

I love a good romantic suspense book, and this one is one of the best I have read! Some times Romantic suspense has a tendency to not focus that much on the romance but on the crime and action that ends up as the main thing in the book and then a little romance. Books like that are not for me, but this book had the perfect balance between the romance and the action. It went hand in hand and came naturally with each other. I never felt like either of the things was missing at any point, and that is amazing for me.

So this book had a lot of favorites of mine!

Army man
Hacker
Twin mix up/Confusing
Action
Steamy

That is just a few of the things you could look forward too if you read this book.
I was hooked on this book from the start and just needed to know more and more after every page I read. I just knew after the first chapter this book would be so good and I was not wrong. I was at the edge of my seat all the time if not because of the action in this book then to see where Jace and Lindsey would go next.

Jace is a hard, bitter man that is angry at the world and especially Lena (Lindsey's twin sister) that robbed him of everything and made him to who he is today. So when a woman who looks just like Lena( The woman who destroyed his life) has the nerve to knock on his door and ask for help... Let's just say it doesn't end well. But then she leaves her hacker name. And what he discovers confuse him. Is there two of Lena or is she out to get him again? Can he trust a woman that looks exactly like his worst enemy or his he being deceived again?

Lindsey is the boring twin. The twin who never does something wrong and nobody ever notices. So when her sister sends her a cryptic message, she is in doubt about what to do. But when she ends up knocking on a strangers door and it is Jace her former crush and the man her twin destroyed she is in chock. Her sister can't be this cruel. Or can she?

Are you intrigued yet? Well, then what are you waiting for hurry up and start reading this book you will not regret it.

This is my Cherrie Lynn novel and it definitely will not be the last.

the two main characters, Lindsay and Jace were brilliant and the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. Well worth a read.

I received this ARC for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

When Lindsey's twin sister Lena misses her parent's anniversary party, Lindsey knows something is wrong and a strange text from her sister directing her to a particular address is all she has to figure out what happened to Lena.

After stopping at Lena's trashed apartment and meeting one of Lena's colleagues, the mysterious Griffin, all Lindsey has left is to check out the address Lena left her with. Turns out Lindsey does know the occupant -- a former college classmate who Lena ruined with a hacking dare.

Jace isn't happy to see the face at his door, thinking it's Lena, the woman who got him kicked out of MIT and ruined his life. But he learns that Lena had a twin, and Lindsey is also adept at writing code and hacking. He doesn't quite trust her, especially after what Lena did to him, but as they really have few leads on Lena's abduction, they are forced to work together, especially after Lindsey demands to be part of whatever Jace comes up with.

It turns out that Jace is part of an elite, undercover hacking group with ties to the military. The rest of the team is just as suspicious of Lindsey because of Lena, which keeps Jace at arms length. But a visit with Lindsey's parents and all the time they've spent together has them moving from a place of distrust to one that has a whole lot more heat and skin as Jace and Lindsey fall into bed together.

But with Jace still not trusting her, Lindsey decides to take matters into her own hands and Jace and the team must save her from a very bad situation.

I'm a big fan of Cherrie Lynn's writing, having found her books years ago and I absolutely loved Deadlock! I couldn't put this down and by the time things really heat up between Jace and Lindsey, I was hooked on this series! I can't wait for more.

The pace of Deadlock was really terrific and carried me to the final pages which I probably have to re-read because I was in such a hurry to see what happens that I probably missed a bunch of details, but that's all good. That's what I want in a romantic suspense story -- lots of suspense and tension and a good dose of alpha males who know how to get the job done!

I've read a few hacker series and Deadlock does a great job with cyber security lingo and the technical aspects are well researched. Being in the coding/security business myself, it's always one of my yardsticks when evaluating the technical aspects and Cherrie Lynn does a great job of it.

Overall, an intriguing and entertaining start to this series. Loved it!

Wow, Cherrie Lynn did a fantastic job with this story. Lindsey was a likeable character, despite being a bit naive. Jace had history with Lindsey's sister, and it wasn't good. It made sense that he didn't trust Lindsey first. This story was predictable at times, but not in a bad way. The love story was definitely wrapped up, but the story line continues in the next book. This book reminds me of Julie Ann Walker's Black Knights Ink stories. I definitely enjoyed this book and will continue to read this series

I requested to read and review this book. This is the first book I have read by author Cherries Lynn and I loved it. I loved loved this book titled Deadlock. The ending was amazing i never suspected how they were going to end it. I hope their is a second book to this. You will fall in love with Lindsey that girl has a back bone I wasn't sure at first but she definitely is someone you want in your corner. And Jace bad boy but with a possible soft side I can't wait to see and you can't forget about Lena and the family. Hopefully there will be more books to spotlight each of these characters more. There is more to them then what I have read so far. This plot was action packed with mystery and romance all wrapped up into one. This a definite must reader for any reader type. For a mature reader.

When I started reading this story I was surprised that I found a story that has a different plot than what I have normally been reading.
This one centers around twins, Lindsay and Lena. Lena not showing up for her parents anniversary party her twin becomes extremely upset and goes looking for her. She goes to her home and finds it in total disarray. She then gets a mysterious text from her to go find a person from their past.
She meets Jace and his friends, a group of hackers who work together. Jace and Lindsay went to the same college and while he never met her he did know Lena and their parting was definitely not on good terms.
At first Jace thinks it's Lena and he is very horrendous to Linday, when he finds out who she really they join together to find her sister.
The only thing I would of like to see was maybe a bit more about the hacking world. While this one does not end on a cliffhanger, it is certain going to have a continuation.

Wow! This is quick the action packed hacked mystery/thriller romance. The hero, Jace, is an air force veteran who got expelled from MIT for hacking into the UMASS registrar and changing some students’ grades. One of said students is the twin to a girl who’s had a crush on him since they shared a class at MIT together.

There are lots of threads and at least a covert thing or two going on. Ma. Lynn does an amazing job of laying out a multi-faceted plot in a way that clear and interconnected. It’s pretty ingenious really and the story isn’t over. The story delivers a gratifying HEA. However, this feels like a multi-book series that has at least one connected plot that will run through the books. Not sure how much we’ll see if this H and h in subsequent books, but my guess is it will be more than a few cameos.

I think getting to the bottom of everything is going to be one wild ride, and I can wait for it to continue.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
