I wanted to like this book but it felt like something that I have already read before. I couldn't finish it.
I don’t don’t like this book. It was not what I expected and didn’t like it all. Most unhelpful and odd almost preaching tone put me off very quickly.
Heavy on the spiritual side of understanding yourself and recognition. I found the whole book far too wordy and littered with quotes that weren’t relatable to me. Disappointing it wasn’t more science and fact based.
An introduction to self mapping, self awareness and spirituality. I will be honest and say that there are other books in the same genre that I would recommend and prefer, and I find easier to read. Not one I enjoyed.
This book really wasn't what I expected, and I couldn't get as into it as I thought that I would. It isn't what I would put in my classroom, either, unfortunately.
This was an interesting book. I thought the information presented was well laid out and flowed well. I really enjoyed reading it and want to try and start implementing some of what I read.
This really want for me. I had no idea what self mapping was before and for those interested this might be a good book to pick up. Thanks NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review!
This book just didn't gel with me - it was perhaps too spiritual and not quite what I was looking for. Thanks to the publisher for an egalley through Netgaley.
Not for me. I found this book hard to get through for various reasons...I’m not religious and there were several religious references and it was not what I expected. Some
Me what hard to follow the process of self mapping. To be honest, I didn’t finish the book.
Honest and in-depth advice for reaching your full potential. This advice is presented in easy to follow language that can be broken up and applied in pieces at a time.
Not what I expected. I tried the self-mapping, but it didn't really do anything for me although I'm open to spiritual ideas and such.
Simply not a book for me and ebook/PDF is a bit difficult to read and work through it.
Thank you Netgalley for making my wish come true.
I wasn't to excited about this book. It should definitely be read in physical form rather than ebook format though. I did lime some of the exercises bit a lot of it has been said before.
I really enjoyed this book and the interactive elements of filling in the mind map. I will certainly be recommending it to the young people who come into the library and don’t know what they want to do with their life. I think this book will help them self evaluate themselves and the type of person they are.
Pros: This book is not what I expected. I was under the impression that I would be able to take a walk on the wild side of my life and take a good look at the mishaps and misfortunes. However, I had to struggle my way through this book because it was a boring way to self-awareness. Most of the tips have been heard before, and nothing new was introduced at all. I mostly read while writing down my thoughts to get to the main points, but this book never got there. It's not worthy of low marks because there are a few gems spread throughout the book, but overall, it is mediocre at best.
Cons: The cover was misleading, I was under the impression I would do a little mind mapping, but it's far from this type of ideal.
