A remote lodge in upstate New York is the perfect getaway. . . until the bodies start piling up. You'll be suspicious of each guest until the final reveal.
The constant change of character's point of view was a little confusing at first but then you get into the rhythm.

Entertaining and fun. Reminded me of And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Guests iced in by a storm at an upscale lodge and one by one the guests start dying. There is always a twist in these novels and I enjoyed the one Lapena used in this novel.

I loved this book. It had twists and turns you never saw coming. She is an excellent writer and I’ve now read all of her books.

Thanks to #NetGalley and Penguin Books for letting me read "An Unwanted Guest".
Before "An Unwanted Guest" I had read a couple of other books by Shari Lapena and enjoyed all of them. Just like I enjoyed "An Unwanted Guest".
If you want a book that keeps you thinking, wondering who did it, then this book is the one you need to read. I wasn't able to put this one down.
Will recommend this book to anyone that love thrillers.

In a book reminiscent of Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians, a group of travelers trapped at an inn, begin to disappear. Winter in the Catskills means cold and snow, and lots of it. A group of travelers are staying at Mitchell’s inn, all for various reasons, some to relax and de-stress and some for ….other reasons. When a winter storm turns into a blizzard and the power goes out, the group is stranded. While annoying, it’s not alarming, there are plenty of fireplaces and wood stoves at the inn. But the fun comes to an abrupt end when one of the visitors is found dead, surely a tragic accident. Until the bodies begin to pile up like cords of wood. Someone is taking them out, one by one. But who, and why? A heart pounding claustrophobia inducing read
