Who wouldn't love this book!? The characters make you feel you are part of their lives, you experience their highs and lows just as you would in your own lives with the hope that the ending would turn out well for them, after all a fairy tale always does doesn't it? This is a fabulous book, humorous, poignant and a true reflection of modern life. A great read - highly recommended.

Overall I enjoyed this book, it’s full of yummy recipes and mouthwatering descriptions of pudding so who wouldn’t?! At times I found the main character quite hysterical and selfish which started to border on irritating but I’m pleased to say she pulled it back in the last few chapters of the book. A perfect Christmas tale, heartwarming and endearing with lots of puddings!

Thank you Netgalley

Wish I’d actually read this on the run up to Christmas. It’s got everything you need in a good cheesey holiday story. Could have done with a bit more drama here and there but was adorable throughout. If you like a cutesy, holiday romance then give this a read!

What a wonderful, delightful book! I loved everything in this book! The perfect feel good Christmas romantic story with a fierce protagonist that runs a farm! A book based, most of all, on the strength of a family and the belief that hard work will always pay off...

I have not read the first book in the series. However I didn't realize until I had read it that it was a sequel. This was a truly good feel Christmas novel. Made me very excited for Christmas. Rachels father had died a couple of years previously. Life had been tough for her and mum Jill trying to run the farm and keep the coffee shop going. It is warming to see how they pull together, even granny helps and her Christmas pudding is an all out seller. As the snow is falling and causing havoc on the farm Tom, Rachels young man, helps out with the sheep. It depicts a true picture of how I used to think Christmas should be. Snow falling and glistening whilst everyone is snuggled up inside in front of a burning log fire. It shows how a loving family stand by one another and work things through. This has certainly made me feel cosy and warm and looking forward to Christmas with my family. However sadly I will be disappointed as there is not going to be any snow. Put your feet up with a hot chocolate and bring Christmas alive to you. Thank you to NetGalley and Caroline Roberts for allowing me to read this spectacular novel in exchange for an honest review

3,5 Stars

It's nice to be back in the delicious Pudding Pantry with Rachel, her cute daughter Maisie and her baking goddess of a mother. Not so much has changed on Primrose Farm. Tom and Rachel are still in love and the three Swinton ladies are still financially distressed. But they have some good ideas to acquire additional customers for her little business. And what better holiday is there than Christmas to splash out on sweet pastries and puddings?

But, as the story progressed, Rachel was getting on my nerves a bit. With her repetitive musings about the shortage of money and customers, about the loss of her father and how her busy life at the farm prevents her from seeing Tom much. (I do believe that she could have found some time for him, it mustn't be only after Maisies bedtime.) And how she reacts to Tom helping her with his night-watch, or when her mum starts having a private life again.

Also, are there really people in the UK who are constantly thanking each other profoundly and politely for everything that's said or done?? And calling each other love, pet, petal, poppet, or hun in almost every sentence? Maybe there are, but I found it a bit overdone...

Nevertheless, this is a nice and cosy book full of mouth-watering recipes, sweet characters and a nice story.

Really sweet follow up to Rachel's Pudding Pantry, I really enjoyed seeing what challenges came to Rachel and her num over the festive period.

Rachel's budding relationship with her neighbour, and childhood friend. Tom was lovely to read, as well as her relationship with daughter Maisy. This book made me hungry constantly 😂 and I'd definitely be up for reading more in this lovely world.

As soon as I started reading this second book in the series I was taken back to the first book and all of it's characters (although you can read this as a standalone book as it mentions key points you need to be aware of from the first book). The characters were just as likeable as before and I loved the recipes that were dotted throughout the book (in fact I have made the Irish cream cheesecake and it was delicious). I liked the fact this book continued the journey in regards to the Pudding Pantry (the cafe in the barn that was founded in the first book) but also concentrated on the relationship between Rachel and Tom and the difficulties they faced, especially as farmers in the Winter months. I found that I warmed to all the characters and felt that I was in the pantry or at the farm with them. I look forward to the next book in the series hopefully as I feel there is a scope for developments in regards to Jill (Rachel's Mum) who has been on her own since Rachel's Dad committed suicide and her fledgling friendship/relationship with Daniel. Be aware though don't read this book when you are hungry as there is a lot of food described and it really does sound delicious and made my tummy rumble!

I'm new to the Pudding Pantry and have picked up the story of mum and daughter duo Jill and Rachel running Primrose Farm. The author deftly crafted this one so it didn't matter that I hadn't read what had happened previously. It is an utterly charming read. I adored the relationship between Rachel and Tom and was fascinated by the description of rural life on a farm in winter. This was a real winner for me and I look forward to reading more by this author. It absolutely deserves five stars.

Good. Nice Christmas book and it completes the story of the characters introduced in the first book (Rachel's Pudding Pantry) also you get to see characters from other books as they make cameo appearances in this so you can see how they are getting on. Includes recipes for you to try out.

“Christmas at Rachel’s Pudding Pantry” is the second installment of the Pudding Pantry series. I did not read book one prior to reading this book, but I was able to follow along with everything with no issue. I loved that recipes were included, and I would love to try some of them out soon. This book put me right into the Christmas spirit and had me feeling very festive ( even more so than usual lol). Overall, it was a very cozy read and I look forward to reading more from Caroline Roberts in the very near future.

Lovely to be back at the farm! - this continues the story for Rachel at Primrose farm where she is struggling with finances and keeping it going. I really enjoyed this book of friendship , romance and puddings !!! Lovely book to cosy up with over the festive period.

If you're looking for a light Christmas read with zero risk, a warm and cosy feel and a considerately rendered farming community, then look no further - this will do the trick. Although the Pudding Pantry at Primose Farm was an initial success, it is now winter and custom is drying up. Luckily Rachel has a new idea to drum up business ... now if only she knew how to deal with her budding relationship with the farmer next door! Cute and relatively harmless, this series is enough to thaw my romance-sceptic heart.

I often enjoy a cheesy Christmas novel but couldn't wait to finish this one. I found the characters to be boring and under developed, the writing was plain and uninteresting with no real excitement and often repetitive. The storyline was slow, not much happened at all and what did happen was entirely predictable. The characters were irritating, called each other 'hun' and 'petal' every time they talked. I also found it very odd how Rachel's mum seemed to always be on hand to babysit or do Rachel's job - she had no life of her own - and how Rachel was fine with a man she had only known a couple of months and wasn't that close with going off alone with her child alone. I also hated the farming theme that perpetuated speciesism and the idea that some animals lives are precious whilst others are worthless (Rachel's child loves the lamb/dog and they keep it as a pet while other animals get sent to be murdered and eaten).

All in all, a very poor storyline, characters and writing so not much to enjoy in this read. There's many other brilliant Christmas novels out there to waste time on this one!

A lovely Christmassy book which I really enjoyed. Charming characters, lovely farm location and gorgeous recipes throughout which made my mouth water. A heartwarming story of family, community spirit, relationships and romance. This book is the second in the series and I would recommend reading the first book Rachel’s Pudding Pantry first. I am looking forward to the next instalment.

I was so happy to return to Rachel's Pudding Pantry for a festive read. It was lovely to revisit all of the characters from the first book and to see how they were all doing, and how they fared with the challenges that Christmas brought them. A warm, comfy read.
