Another amazing book based around Rachel’s Pudding Pantry. Although you don’t have to have read her previous book it does help although all the previous characters are introduced. All I know is that I would love to live near Primrose Farm and the Swinton Family. Easy to read, great characters and good size chapters. Plus I can’t wait for the next book. Thank you Caroline Roberts and NetGalley.

I was happy to meet again the cast of characters, rooted for them and had a good time.

This book was just as good as the first one, it was so lovely to relax into it having knowledge of the characters from the first book. It still had all the recipes dotted throughout the book except these Christmas ones. It made me feel warm and Christmassy myself although it’s not even November yet!!!!
It seems like the author will be writing another one in this series so I’ll be very interested in reading it as soon as it comes Ava.

I’ve been looking forward to a return trip to Primrose Farm and Rachels Pudding Pantry and there’s no perfect time than for Christmas. Yet again we are provided with some mouth-watering recipes, descriptions and imagery that had be longing for a sweet treat.
I really enjoy reading about these strong independent women who are not sitting back when it comes to protecting their livelihoods. Rachel is fiercely trying to make things work and has to think about what they can do now the tourist trade has slowed down.
I love the newly formed ‘pudding club’ and I think it was a fantastic way to introduce more characters, with the hint there will be another book in the series I hope we see more from them too.
Life on a farm doesn’t sound romantic or fun at all; in this book we are shown the difficulties of winter for farmers and it sounds so dramatic. I was really concerned at certain parts of the book and hoped the worst didn’t happen. These characters have been through so much already!
Always nice to see how relationships are developing and I am fully behind Rachel getting a happy ending.
Caroline Roberts has a lovely writing style that is easy to read, nicely paced as nothing feels rushed or prolonged. The story is heart-warming, you feel comfortable with the characters and that you take them to heart. I think there is the right balance of humour and tension throughout the book with a copious amount of festive frolics to really get you in the Christmas spirit.

I loved the first book in the series (Rachel's Pudding Pantry) so I was so excited to read this next book! As soon as I read that first page I felt I was right back where the first book left off, like I hadn't been away. It was so good to hear more from these fabulous characters and this time it is Christmas woohoo!

As always with a Caroline Roberts book it is jam packed with so many absolutely delicious and mouth watering recipes! Honestly my tummy rumbled right the way through this book!

This book is everything you could want in a Christmas book, the festive fun, decorations, food and a real heart warming story!

I really hope there will be another book in the series as I absolutely adore these characters and the whole setting!

I loved returning to the world of Rachel’s pudding pantry, I absolutely adored the first book and this was no exception. This can be enjoyed as a standalone and you won’t feel lost, but I think it has that little bit more magic if you’ve read the first and I really encourage you to read the first. Again a great mix of romance and drama, with a great cast of loveable characters, all above it fa,ily and friendship. It’s a great Christmas read, one for a cosy night in front of the fire. I can’t recommend Caroline’s books or this series enough, in need of a smile, go read this.

With large helpings of both romance and drama along with some delicious recipes, this is the perfect book for those chilly pre-Christmas afternoons.

This is the second book in the Pudding Pantry series. I loved the first book, so I was excited to receive an early preview copy of this book from Netgalley and the Publisher. This book can easily be read as a standalone novel but the first book is fabulous, so I would definitely be reading it as well.
This is a lovely seasonal and festive read, very cosy. Each chapter starts with a festive pudding recipe, and then the same pudding appears later in the book, with its own little story. It's the perfect book to snuggle up with on the sofa, with something nice to eat, as this book will make you hungry.
After a promising start the Pudding Pantry is going through a quiet patch. Rachel and her Mum Jill have to come up with a plan to bring in more money, or they might have to sell up. With the Farm to run, a fledgling relationship with Tom and family commitments Rachel is finding it a struggle to find time to do everything.
The book is a heartwarming read, although there is a fair amount of gritty reality, with death and illness in the background of the story.
I enjoyed reading this book a lot, although I was a little disappointed with the ending, as it didn't tie up some of the loose ends. I am hoping that this means that there will be another book in the series. Some of the characters from Caroline Robert's other books made a brief appearance too. It is always great to catch up with old characters. Overall, I loved reading this book and I recommend it.

Such a great follow on book with the added bonus of a festive theme. I read both Pudding Pantry books back to back. What lovely stories they both were. I especially enjoyed this festive delight that continued the love story of Rachel and Tom, and also showed how Jill was moving on with her life too. An enjoyable read, perfect to curl up with a cuppa by the fire. Thanks to Net Galley for the opportunity to read and review.

It was fantastic to step back into the pudding pantry and to catch up with all the old characters, as well as meeting up with new ones as well.
This is the second book in the series but is a stand alone book, however I would recommend that the reader reads the first book .
During the run up to Christmas, the pudding pantry is beginning to struggle to pay its way, This book covers how Rachel diversifies again to keep the farm running profitably There are many heartwarming moments as new characters are brought into the story as Rachel’s new ideas begin to develop.
Overall another brilliant read from Caroline and more fantastic recipes, roll on the third book!

Was so nice to go back and visit the people at Rachel’s Pudding Pantry and see how the people we met in the first book and the businesses are getting on.

Although this is a follow up book could easily be read as a stand alone book.

Look forward to book number 3!

I struggled through 19% and just gave up. It’s so slow, it’s so boring, and a lot of this 19% has been padded out with recipes, Please read it back to yourself and see if it sounds like it’s rambling on, and you’ll see that it does.

This is just one example of so many-
“ ‘Right, I’d better be on my way,’ announced Tom, soon afterwards. ‘We’ve got some cattle tags to put back in today; they keep losing them out in the fields, so I need to get the cattle herded down to the yard to meet up with my farmhand, Jack.’ ‘Well, have a good day,’ said Rachel.”

I’m normally much kinder with my feedback but this book is just grating on my nerves.

I have not read the first book in this series and the author give enough backstory to keep the reader up to speed..

This was a slow moving book. About halfway through I was bored with Rachel. I did love Granny Ruth and I liked that Jill made a new friend. Of the nine Christmas themed books I read for NetGalley this year, this was my least favorite. It's ok but it's not memorable. Except for the parts with Petie the lamb. He's quite the character.

There are a lot of baked goods in this book and the characters are constantly eating. I know they run a tea shop and the "hook" was to get 12 recipes into the story but it felt like too much sweets to me. I'm also amazed at the volume of crafts that the neighbor friend can produce in a week.

I wish the recipes were posted in chapters where they were mentioned so it all flowed better.
I do appreciate that many ingredients were in both UK and US measurements.
It would also be helpful to add a US conversion (Fahrenheit) for baking temperatures.

Several of the recipes such as The Sixth Bake of Christmas felt incomplete. because there is no shortbread recipe provided and the story of stacking star cookies to make a tree does not get mentioned until much later in the story.. The same happens with the Toffee Apple Crumble. The story of the recipe is repeated verbatim at location 208 with the recipe and location 1060. where the dish is served. Also there is no size given for a baking dish or a conversion for the butter measurement. For The Seventh Bake, Auntie Jean's Treacle Tart there is no recipe included for a shortcrust pastry.

There are incorrect words at location 100 and location 3245.

This is a heartwarming sweet story of friendships, family and Christmas receipes. I loved the receipes in the book and will be trying them for the holiday season. I love the way the author framed the charcters as compassionate caring people who cared for one another. This is the perfect introduction to the holiday season. I highly recommend this book for all who enjoy books of strong women friendship and baking.

A lovely warm story that is just right for the. Christmas period. The characters were so real as was the descriptions of life on the farm. It was a great addition to add the recipes of the dishes that were being cooked at the Pantry and I am looking forward to trying them.. the ending was very predictable but in no way did it detract from the story. I did wonder what happened to the court case that Tom’s wife had started but I wonder if this is going to be addressed in the next in 5his series.
Highly recommend this book for a light Christmas read.

What a delightfully festive and mouthwatering read by the talented Caroline Roberts. I had been looking forward to reading this since I had seen the cover revealed on Twitter quite some weeks ago. I really loved the first in the series, it was so deliciously heart warming (as well as mouthwatering!) that I had hoped there would be another one. The cover is so Christmassy and pretty I was so excited to be back at Rachel's Pudding Pantry.

I adore Caroline Roberts' style of writing, the way she describes the cakes and sweet treats has you wishing that you could to go to the Pantry right there and then if it were real! I also love the way Caroline writes about the relationships in the novel, it makes you feel warm and happy with how close the family and friends all are. The community spirit in this novel is massive and this particular story is just a joy to read.

With this particular story, Rachel and her mum Jill are struggling to make ends meet with their new cafe, the Pudding Pantry, which is held at their farm. The treat they have on offer sound amazing and the customers are so caring and helpful. My favourite in this book was Granny Ruth, she was just so cute and lovely and Frank was another firm favourite in my book! The idea behind the Pudding Club was genius and the characters who all joined got on really well and was enjoyable to read about all the different puddings.

Although this novel is based around Rachel and her relationship with Tom, at the beginning there isn't much about the pair and the novel is more on Rachel and everything she is doing to keep the farm and the pudding pantry afloat. I would have liked to have read more about them as it seems like the ending was a little rushed but overall it was an amazing read and I loved reading about all the different puddings, the relationships between Jill, Rachel, Maisy and Granny Ruth and of course, I loved the Christmas spirit!

I will start off by saying that this is not the book for you if you love stories with lots of action or non stop humour, however it is non the worse for this.
The story continues after the first book with Rachel struggling to keep the farm going after her father's death, together with dwindling numbers of customers in the Pantry. She is also finding it hard to spare time to keep her fledgling romance with her neighbour Tom and is worried that they are beginning to drift apart.
Rachel and her mother decide to start of Pudding Club at the Pantry in the lead up to Christmas, the idea being to have some income from the evening plus selling some of their puddings, with the added bonus of providing a social event.
Throw in a snowstorm with lost sheep it shows the hardship of farming in the North of England, but also the power of love and friendships and how working together can help.

Loved the second instalment in this series! Felt so good to read about all the characters again! Can’t wait for the next book!

Christmas at the Pudding Pantry is the second of the series but can be read as a stand alone although I would strongly recommend reading the first too. We find Rachel on the lead up to Christmas and the pressures of running the farm and pantry together are beginning to become to much, Rachel's friends and family rally around to help her and not forgetting her daughter Maisy who comes up with a great idea to help in the pudding pantry.
I adored where the story went in this book and how the characters all come together to support each other, but the best thing of all is the setting and location. It made the plot that extra bit special. The farm really come to life as I turned each page. Caroline Roberts writing style is amazing and really draws the reader in. I loved the romantic scenes that occur in this story.
Caroline Roberts just gets better and better and I adore all her other books.
