Due to a passing in the family a few years ago and my subsequent health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for years after the bereavement. Thank you for the opportunity.
This is not an easy read but it's an engrossing and entertaining book.
I loved the style of writing and I loved the organization of the content.
This book can be quite harsh and hard to read at time but it's a good depiction of a certain reality.

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
I found this a difficult read in places and had to walk away from it at times, but the way I see it is if someone has suffered and then taken the time to write about it, the least I can do is read their account. The footnotes throughout are extremely interesting and informative - from the situation in Northern Ireland to the British legislation of the time. Anthony Daly's recollection of events is devastating, eloquent and very well presented. Needless to say, it affected me deeply. The perpetrators, and those complicit in covering up, are beneath contempt.
