Told in a third person perspective over a 3-day period (day before, day of, and day after), this is a super quick read...and an addictive one! I like different perspective stories and this didn’t disappoint. Totally recommend. A firm 4/5 on goodreads.
I'll be honest this book didn't grab my attention at first. I set it down for months and months, I'd try every now and then to get into it, but nope. Then one day I picked it up and read over half the book in one day. I couldn't get enough! All the secrets and motives and just when I thought I had it all figured out the author would throw something else into the mix. I wasn't crazy about the detective's parts in the story at first, but now I appreciate how well it tied everything together. All the characters are fleshed out. I liked Susan. I look forward to reading more from this author!
Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this early copy!
Did not finish - I could not connect with the plot or writing so I decided to put it down.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher Crooked Lane Books for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Let me start off by saying "spoiler* (just kidding)...there is more than one secret. Oh man, these 6 characters, who make up 3 quite dynamic couples, have a lot they are hiding. If you get confused by different characters, you will need to pay close attention and take mental notes. Sometimes it's confusing at first to know whom is paired to whom. And they aren't very likeable, which is fine because the events of this book happen in the matter of ONE DAY- so you need not get too invested in them and just enjoy the ride. Seemingly unrelated parts of the book tie into events later in the book which I appreciated as I felt that all my questions were answered. I will say that I was not a huge fan of how the author handled describing a mother and her son with autism. Lack of person-first language, anti-school, it was not realistic to me as a special education teacher. Overall, this is a great pool/beachside vacation read. I read it in the matter of a couple of days.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this. I will be posting a full review to Goodreads, Amazon, and Instagram.
2.5 stars. This book had the potential to be an intriguing mystery with a great cast of characters. Unfortunately, the characters were so cliche and you really didn't get to learn much about them. It was a quick and entertaining read, though. It just could have been a really good one.
A recommended read. A little over-written in places Also a little predicable, still an enjoyable and entertaining read.
Juicy, Mystery Drama!
Welcome to the Hamptons! Three financially successful couples rent a luxurious summer house together while their children who are friends are all staying at the same summer camp. They are neighbors as well as friends but not close enough to know that they all have secrets and want them to stay hidden. After the first dinner together including a little too much alcohol for some, tempers flare, jealousy arises and a few arguments have already raised their ugly little heads. This was not the way beautiful vacations were supposed to begin or end. This was going to be a long and heated summer. Unbeknownst to all the couples is that one of them would be found dead the following morning and they will all be suspects in their neighbor's murder.
I just devoured this tasty well-written story so much that I hated when I had to put the book down. The story is told from multiple points of view and the author did a marvelous job of keeping the reader in suspense about who the killer was and continuously pointing the finger at each character as a possible suspect with plenty of motives making their rounds. I just loved this book and will definitely be looking up other works written by Cate Holahan to read!
I want to thank the publisher "Crooked Lane Books" and Netgalley for the privilege of reading this terrific book!
I highly recommend to any reader who enjoys knowing about secrets that to on behind closed doors and I have given a rating of 4 Really Juicy 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Stars!!

Copy kindly received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a really interesting book, with interesting characters.
Would recommend.
I ended up not finishing this book after about 40%. I found all of the characters really confusing and it was hard to remember who was married to who. I also had a very hard time keeping up with the conversations and spent most of the time not knowing what in the world they were talking about. I'm curious to know the ending of the mystery but found myself too confused to continue.
This thriller of a read was mixed with secrets and alcohol. Those two never mix well together, as three couples share a beach rental in the Hamptons. This was a very fast paced and fun read. All it took was for one little secert to follow these 3 couples on a vacation where their deepest darkest secrets are revealed.
Thank you Netgalley for a copy of this book for my honest review.
This was a great summer read! Fast paced and plenty of twists and secrets to keep you guessing as to who the murderer is and why. The book takes place majority in two flashing back and forth between the day before the murder and the day of. I loved that style of writing, it added to the fast pacing. Overall it is a great summer thriller that I couldn't put down!
A definite page-turner this book kept me on the hook until the very end. Go ahead and guess what the "one little secret" is before you start reading but I guarantee you'll still be surprised!
The plot and the characters were promising, but sadly the execution fell flat.
Really disappointed.
A bunch of wealthy neighbors who all have secrets rent a house in the Hamptons together... what could possibly go wrong. This is an easy thriller who did it type mystery. I did guess the ending less than half way through but the story line kept me entertained.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat!
I have never read another book by this author before, but now I will look up her backlist. Domestic noir, thriller. Shows that you never really know who your neighbors are or even the people that live with you. This nailbiter was granted to me on behalf of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my review, all thoughts are mine.
Thank you @netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book. This book was filled with secrets, betrayal, abuse, murder, and secrets. It was a page-turning suspense-filled adventure for me. I enjoyed the book and would have given it a higher rating if not for the way Mariel's story ended. I didn't like that resolution to her storyline. Overall the book is great and I gave it 3.75 stars. The book was filled with characters that were simply flawed and filled with secrets that could destroy the very balance that wove them together. The story of 3 couples who are neighbors decides to take a small vacation to get to know one another and begin new friendships. What should have been a peaceful summertime away from kids turns into a nightmare fueled by accusations, jealousy and murder. The story is a typical whodunnit trope that is in my opinion executed very well. Definitely check One Little Secret out.
Middle of the road, thriller. Didn't get invested in the characters, thought it went on a bit too long and isn't something I'll remember in a few months
This book was GREAT! Twisty, creepy, and well-written. I loved every second of it!
Thank you very much to the publisher, Cate Holahan, and Netgalley for a free advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
