Another great Artemis Fowl book although this is probably my least favorite of the series. I'm not sure why... Not enough Butler? I miss Julius Root? Whatever the reason I still think this was a great book and fun to read but just 4 stars instead of 5.
Boy can Colfer write a great ending to a book. Time to start book 6!
These books are dearly loved in our home - my children began reading them at around age 10 and have continued to go back to the series again and again.
Each book gets better and better! This is the very best series to introduce young readers to amazing fantasy!
This is the first time reading anything by this author, so I didn't really know what to expect. This book was fast paced and easy to read. There were lots of twists and turns that I didn't expect. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book.
Five books in and I applaud Colfer for his continued use of strong vocabulary (it's what hooked me on book one), and his ability to keep the storyline going as things are getting complex. With so much happening, the introduction of demons to the fairy world is something of a surprise, nonetheless, it's one that ups the suspense level and makes readers keep turning the page. Humor. Continuity. New characters, here's looking at book six!
This was a combination the 5th and 6th books in the incredible Artemis Fowl series. Since I am a big fan of both fantasy and science fiction, this fit a perfect niche for me. I definitely kept up with this series anytime a new book came out. I liked how Artemis changed and learned more about himself and his friends over time. He starts out as an anti-hero but you grow to really care about him as a character and he grows to care about those around him. It was perfect how we learned more about some of the side characters like Juliet and Butler. I would recommend these books to anyone interested in fantasy, spy movies, or even superheroes.
