I feel like it’s been so long since I read a Helena Hunting book! I’m seriously kicking myself for not diving into the Shacking Up world sooner. I loved Making Up!! Griffin Mills is so adorable. He’s sweet, kind, a little awkward but oh so freaking sexy!!

Griffin and Cosy meet under odd circumstances at Cosy’s work, which make Griffin extremely uncomfortable but it’s so funny to watch him squirm. Cosy and Griffin have Instant chemistry. They fit
Together so perfectly and have the best relationship.

It’s funny and sweet! I couldn’t put the book down and read it in one sitting. I’m definitely going back and reading the other books in this series. Helena is a master at the sweet, rom coms that you’ll never want to end!!

A quick, fun read. If I could change one thing, it would be for the characters to be a bit more fully developed. The author does a great job of switching between viewpoints and the character of Cosy is just quirky enough to make it all work, but I felt like the whole thing was a little shallow and would have liked to have a little bit more of Cosy and Griffin’s individual personalities rather than so much of them together. It’s definitely a balance and for the most part it’s really fun to read.. I do enjoy the changing settings and the supporting characters like Nev and Lex. Happy to have read this one.

What a great story!!! The thing I love about this author is her incredible writing style. You feel like you're just sitting down having this great conversation with characters that grab you from word one, leaving you wanting more in the end. Cosy and Griffin are probably two of my favorite characters I've read this year, just loved them. Cosy, a sex store salesperson, is just a down to earth kinda gal, living her life under her terms and trying to get through college so she can move on to her next chapter. In walks Griffin, a billionaire (unbeknownst to her) who draws the short straw and has to shop at an adult sex shop for an upcoming bachelor party. That's where these two meet each other, and the story takes off from there. I found these two hysterical, loved the way Cosy made Griffin work to get her to go out with him, loved Cosy's sassiness and wit, the chemistry between these two is off the charts, and with all of the obstacles (and there are alot of them) that the two had to overcome, it just made for a great well written story, the ending was perfect. I found this book to be a cross between Pretty Woman and Fifty Shades, both of which I loved. Would highly recommend this to everyone!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

Shacking up is one of my favorite books by Helena Hunting so I pretty much devour every book in this series. This book did not disappoint.

I love the way that Cosy and Griffin meet; it was very much "Helena" and the humor we expect from her books. I liked how it made Griffin a little awkward because it made him feel less unattainable and therefore more of a fit for Cosy. I feel like if he had been portrayed more as a hotel mogul than Cosy would have come off as too immature for him.

Cosy and Griffin definitely had a ton of chemistry. I loved the kind of back and forth with them and I really liked that Cosy was hesitant at first. She wasn't blinded by his money and that made me love her all the more. I also liked that he didn't try to wine and dine her all the time. He actually did things she liked and that was one of my favorite things about him.

The conflict was a little predictable and ultimately why I knocked a star off, but even that I didn't entirely mind because it was actually pretty drawn out. I liked that Helena wasn't afraid to kind of dive into that a little more.

Overall, this was a great book set in the Shacking Up world. It was a little different than what I expected from Griffin from the brief glimpses we got of him in the previous books, but I would definitely say Helena did him justice. A must read, for sure!

"Show me your weakness, so I can give you my strength."

Oh my gawwwd! I’m so freaking in love with this book! Helena Hunting created perfectly balanced doses of funny, steamy and angsty moments and tied them with the ribbon! Making Up is another story, that will make you swoon, laugh out loud and blush. And the characters? They’re so magnificent, that you want to crawl inside this book and just exist among them!

Cosy is a young woman with a free spirit. She doesn’t care what the others think about her, she’s open, confident, funny, vibrant and spontaneous. At a young age she’s really smart and she knows exactly how she wants to live her life. And to this moment she didn’t want to be tied down. Until she met insanely hot Griffin, who’s pretty determined to show Cosy that commitment is not a bad thing.

Griffin Mills… where should I start? His complexity totally stole my heart. On the one hand he showed his vulnerability and on the other you could see his possesive streak. His lame pick-up lines made him adorably awkward, but at the same time he was this incredibly sexy mature man in a suit. Griffin is completely irresistible and I’m swooning just from thinking about him!

The level of chemistry between Cosy and Griffin is off the charts! I loved that their sexy times weren’t rushed and that this couple enjoyed fooling around so much. Although they’re complete opposites, they’re perfectly matched. Despite being from two different worlds it just worked for them and it was really amusing to watch how they navigated in certain moments. And although life throw at them some mean curveballs, they managed to get over them and form a great relationship.

Making Up shows us that fate knows best what we need. And it isn’t always what we would reach for in ordinary circumstances. Sometimes you just have to put your faith in the kismet and give yourself a chance at happiness. Cosy and Griffin’s story was one of the very best I’ve read this year and I’m happy that Helena Hunting decided to make me fall in love with another Mills brother. This read was hilarious, swoon-worthy and totally delicious!

P.S. If you haven’t read any book in Shaking Up series, you’re really missing out!

5 star Review Making Up (Shaking Up #4) by Helena Hunting

I loved being back in the Shaking Up world with the latest release from Helena Hunting.

An embarrassing meeting between Cosy Felton and Griffin Mills starts them both on a journey that will open their eyes. Griffin is suckered into purchasing the gag gifts for his friend’s bachelor party he is relieved when sales assistant Cosy takes pity on him and helps him out.

Griffin is trying to get his life back on track and is attracted to Cosy.

Ms. Hunting wove a story that drew me in and held me captivated. The camaraderie, banter and friendship that Cosy and Griffin had made this a joy to read and I really was cheering for these two to get their happily ever after.

The chemistry between them was intense and you could feel the sizzle in the air. I love Ms. Hunting's style of writing, she ensures that her characters are “real”. I found the characters easy to relate to particularly Cosy and Griffin.

There was just something about them and the awkward situations that came up throughout this book that had me smiling like a loon.
Making Up is a story that had me entertained from the first to the last chapter.

I received an ARC of this book through the publisher via Netgalley

Wanting to put his painful breakup behind him, hotel mogul Griffin Mills decided to take an extended business trip to Vegas. While there he was tasked with buying gag gifts for a friend’s bachelor party, but the embarrassment he felt when he first stepped foot in the adult toy store was minimized and replaced with attraction towards the sales woman who helped him.

Cozy Felton is a fun carefree twenty two year old college student with an interesting job who wants to enjoy life at its fullest. She never dates customers but she will certainly help out the hottest man that’s ever walked into the store, until his persistence pushes her to break her rule. Besides, she doesn’t want to get tied down, he’s only in town for a couple of months and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Usually.

Helena Hunting consistently and expertly produces delightfully irresistible stories. Her books are always so much fun to read. In Making Up, we meet Cozy who works in an adult toy store and has learned how to deal with the discomfort that comes with the job. Add in an easy going and carefree spirit and she has Griffin’s full attention.

Despite their eleven year age gap, Griffin finds Cozy refreshing, fun and easy to be with. Neither one is looking to jump into a relationship and are taking things slow and despite the curve balls life throws at them, they unhurriedly build something that’s worth fighting and Making Up for.

Cozy and Griffin are a wonderful couple you can’t help but fall for. Their story has the right balance between fun, sexiness, angst and heart. The back and forth is deliciously witty and Griffin’s thoughtful, romantic nature is absolutely swoon worthy.

Making Up is a standalone contemporary romance by Helena Hunting from the Shacking Up world. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

I have a new couple I adore and cannot get their world out of my head! I have loved the Shacking Up series! Cosy is a favorite heroine and I love her way of life. Her philosophy makes me rethink my bucket list and when I want to get it completed. Sooner rather than later that is for sure. She has a confidence level that outshines most. She also has an old soul who wears short shorts lol.

Griffin became my man once her had a blush creeping up when he first meets Cosy. I loved it! It made him human. He was not a cocky alpha that made the heroine work for it. Actually that happens in reverse.

There is a wrench that gets thrown towards this duo and it almost breaks my heart. Making Up will give you the giggles and the sniffles. You will fall in love with this story and beg for so much more. I am not ready to give up on this crew and am excited for more to come!!!!

Get ready to fall in love with Cosy and Griffin in Making Up. You will just love them as much as I did. Cosy is a hoot and you will swoon over Griffin. I love their connection and the way they meet will be just the start of your laugh out loud moments in this read. Navigating a new relationship is never easy and just watch as Griffin and Cosy handle things together and apart. It just as fun as them Making Up. I seriously love them together and boy do they heat up the pages. I really love what Helena Hunting brings to the pages. This is a guarantee one click for me and it should be for you too.

I am not making this up... YOU WILL ADORE COSY AND GRIFFIN'S STORY!!

Making Up is book four in the Shacking Up series and it was filled with the same sexy, charming, and humorous scenes that Helena Hunting is known for.

She gave us two great characters in Cosy and Griffin. They have an awkward yet memorable first meeting. It's a sexy suit meets quirky virgin. And there is an age gap that adds more excitement to the plot.

Cosy is a twenty-two-year-old college student who works at a sex shop to pay the bills. Her personality is much on the shy and innocent side, but when she is at work she is confident. She is focused on finishing college and getting a degree. Her plans are to land a job that allows her to travel. She meets a handsome, sexy suit when he walks into the sex shop she works at.

Griffin is a businessman who gets what he wants. He is loyal, charming, and sexy AF. He is intrigued when he meets Cosy. He wants her but knows she is younger.

Their age difference makes each of them hesitant to start any relationship, but once they go on one date their chemistry is hard to fight. There is added drama from past exes and past hookups.

This book is filled with adventure, steamy scenes, and Helena's humor.

I give Making Up 4 stars. It was a fun, flirty, and sexy romance with likable characters that were awkwardly perfect for each other. The story was easy to read and can be read in one sitting. Reading Helena Hunting books are my guilty pleasure and I'm always ready for more!!

A guy walks into a sex shop....

What sounds like a start to a joke, kinda is. Griffin draws the short straw and has to purchase gifts for a bachelor party. Cosy, who works there while trying to get through college, knows how to handle her customers with humor, and has a rule of never dating customers. When Griffin comes back to the store looking for a date, she reluctantly agrees to one.

Cosy is an independent woman, but she is new to the field of relationships. Griffin has a whole lot baggage that gets in the way. These two suffer several setbacks before finding their way.

OH, and the jerk cousin from Hooking Up makes a brief surprise appearance.

I have loved every book by Helena Hunting so far, and this one was great as well, but it wasn't my favorite. I liked Cosy a lot, but then it seemed like once her age was known it was like she flipped a switch and seemed to act totally differently. At the beginning I totally thought she was in her mid/late twenties not barely 22.
I really liked Griffin and he is totally swoon worthy but I feel like he tried to act too much like her age to make it seem like their age gap wasn't too noticeable.
It took me a bit to get into it, but over all it was funny, and I laughed out loud quite a bit!

Helena Hunting is the queen of RomCom. I bow down to her! Making Up was amazing. That first scene was epic and it had me laughing out loud. Griffin and Cosy couldn’t be more different but they make it work. It has the right amount of lol moments, steam, sweetness, and filled with the right amount of drama to keep you hooked and wanting to get to their hea.

It’s the perfect addition to the Shacking Up Series. This is a definite must read!

Holy drama, batman! I don't even know where to start...I loved the blurb of MAKING UP but this turned out to be so much different than I thought.

Cosy is a twenty two year old college student and I loved that she had an unconventional job - it sounded like she would be sassy and funny. I wish I could confirm that but I found her judgmental and rude in the beginning when she met thirty-three year old Griffin. I did warm up to her a little until she showed me what a drama queen she was. Damn that girl was all over the place and always thought the worst of Griffin. She jumped to conclusions and left in a huff. I hated how she treated Griffin and couldn't get over herself.

Then there is Griffin. I actually loved the guy, how smitten he was, how he tried to win Cosy over. He was sweet, a little awkward even. Until he had a personality transplant. All of a sudden he was cocky and snarky. Something that didn't feel consistent with the way he had been portrayed before. And when the whole ex-fiancee drama started and what was already a steep descent turned into a nosedive. I was done. It was just too much for me. I am hopeful though that Helene Hunting's August release will be more my jam!

Griffin and Cosy have such a fun relationship. They both know that it has an expiration date, but they don’t let that stop them from enjoying each other in the mean time.

Cosy is such an independent soul. She loves to travel, takes care of her older sister when she’s in between boyfriends, and continues to get her education to follow her dreams. She also doesn’t care much about people’s opinions of her. She is who she is, and you either take it or leave it.

Griffin is jaded from past relationships. His trust has been shattered, and he isn’t looking for anything serious. He knows he wants what his brothers and father have, but doesn’t want to put himself out there.

I loved how Griffin was with Cosy and vise versa. They both had their insecurities about their relationship, and they both made sure to help their other person see that they had no need to dwell. They made each other whole and fought for each other’s happiness.

Just Enough For You
Another great addition to this laugh-out-loud, sexy as sin, rom-com series! Every man in the Mills family is gifted with a face and body that will leave you drooling and a mouth that will leave you swooning. Griffin is the whole package!

The story begins with an epically funny & uncomfortable (for him) first meet! I just couldn’t stop smiling.

Cosy is a free spirited, hard working college student and just plain great. She works at an adult toy store. She meets a customer, sexy suit included, who looks like he could use some guidance.

Griffin is more than just a walking billboard for selling business suits...even though he’s super HOT! He’s just buying some gag gfits for a bachelor party...likely story!!

When weeks go by and Griffin just can’t get Cosy out of his head, he makes his move. And so their romance begins.

Get ready for an emotional ride. You’ll be getting an age gap romance with some drama. Griffin seems like a normal business man but when things start going well, it all begins to fall apart because the past gets in their way.

This series has incredible characters and it so well-written. Even when your heart is breaking, the author makes you smile with the wit and humor these characters constantly deliver. Oh and did I mention that their chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS? It’s an inferno!!! A definite must read if you love this series as much as I do.

These Mills men have put a spell on me! I fell in love with Bane first, and then Lex, and I was so excited when Helena Hunting announced that enigmatic Griffin would be getting a book as well. Making Up was such a sexy and sweet age gap romcom. This is book 4 in the Shacking Up series, but it can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone.

Bane has always been my favorite, but Griffin might have *just* eclipsed him. Griffin has been dealt a pretty terrible hand and his confidence and ego have taken a bruising, but I loved his vulnerable side as much as his alpha possessiveness. He was the perfect amount of sweet and sexy and his chemistry with Cosy was off the charts! Even though they both initially have reservations about the more than a decade age difference, Griffin needed someone just like vibrant Cosy to heal his jaded heart. She's the soft curves to his sharp edges. Yes, sometimes her youthfulness showed, but in some ways she was also much more mature than her 22 years. The build up between them was so delectable and the foreplay alone almost set my kindle on fire!

Making Up was filled with Helena Hunting's signature humor and wit. Those laugh out loud "is she really going to go there?" moments are what make me love her romcoms so much! I also enjoyed catching glimpses of several of my Shacking Up series favorites (*swoon* Bane) and getting to know Lincoln better. The story flowed well, but was a little cliche and predictable with some of the drama, especially regarding Griffin's ex, Imogen. I appreciated that it was resolved just as quickly as it appeared though and the little twist at the end was a great way to pull the series together. The epilogue left me with a dopey grin on my face and I'm excited for Lincoln's story next in Handle With Care!

Making Up by Helena Hunting is the fourth book in the Shacking Up series and follows eldest brother Griffin Mills. Griffin finds himself at a sex shop buying gag gifts for a Vegas bachelor party when sales associate Cosy catches his eye. Mortified by his current situation she helps him find everything on his list with some flirty banter and assumes she’ll never see him again. Well, isn’t Cosy surprised when Griffin walks back into the shop a few weeks later...

He’s in town for business and Cosy is finishing up some college courses before she starts an internship. She reluctantly agrees to go out to dinner with him and they learn there’s a substantial age gap between them but neither seems to care. Cosy is everything Griffin has been looking for since ending a previous long-term relationship. And Griffin is everything she’s wanted in a guy after a history of duds. But men as powerful as Griffin come with a lot of baggage and Cosy isn’t sure her heart is ready to navigate this rocky future ahead of her. They come from totally different worlds and she’s not naive enough to think that lust conquers all...

You all know I LOVE the Shacking Up series and I was so excited to dive into Griffin’s book. He’s the older and more reserved brother and that’s reflected in the tone of this one. There’s still some of the trademark Helena Hunting humor and one-liners I’ve come to love - but their relationship develops quickly and with a much more serious undertone. Griffin has a lot of baggage from his past, A LOT. And their age difference is definitely reflected in how they initially react to situations but I felt like Cosy really came into her own throughout the story and ended up being incredibly mature in what she has to deal with. They are opposites in every way and yet they come across as equals within the relationship which isn’t easy considering the powerful family he comes from. There’s plenty of sexy banter but on the heat scale this one is definitely on the tamer side if you tend to shy away from all of the explicit details. We also get to meet more of Lincoln, his cousin, which helps set up the fifth book coming out in August. There’s a few quick cameos from Bane, Lex and of course Armstrong, which were entertaining and fun and I love when all the characters weave in and out of the different stories! This next one in the series is out July 16th so make sure you pre-order your copy! // 3.5/5

Thanks to St Martins Press and SMP Romance for an ARC to review! All opinions are my own!

One thing guaranteed with Helena's books- they're 💯 pure entertainment. There's a perfectly spiced pot of hot hunky goulash, lots of smiles and laughter, a dash of sensitivity and a perfect HEA.
All this is proportionate spiced, cooked to mouthwatering perfection and served sizzling hot.
I can pick up ANY of her books and I'm assured of. A good time
This one is no different.

Cosy Felton works in a STW- Sex Toy Warehouse, yet manages to cling to her innocence. Note that she's not naïve, just unadulterated and unjaded. In walks Sex-on-legs, Griffin Mills of the Mills Hotel chain, whose family has like Eleventy Billion dollars!!
"Dear sweet Jesus on a cloud of marshmallows,It’s a good thing clits don’t react like penises, otherwise mine would be hanging out of the bottom of my shorts with excitement."
So yeah...she gets a lady-boner. He turns out to be older, funnier, cuter and a whole lot...*read that* Too Lot of dick-possessing sexier.

“So I take your age and divide it by two—”
“—and add seven,”
The story is full of fun and laughs. Thoroughly enjoyable, wise Ass cracks, smart Ass comments and somewhere in there are feelings that kind of latch into your heart.
I need to mention something, Helena writes perfectly. The stories are neither slow nor fast, not too many sads or over the top laughs, no darkness or frivolous lightness...it's just right.
A runaway hit from a super it series.
Pick up for a good time!

I was talking to my mom the other day about how awed I am that authors, such as Helena can find new and unique ways to tell a story—giving characters distinct personalities, quirks and storylines, that keep you wanting to come back for more. (I think this plays a huge role in determining what authors I plan to read and get excited about before a blurb is even revealed.)

Making Up is exactly that and more. Helena has created two characters, Griffin and Cosy, that immediately have chemistry. The dialogue is fun, sexy and deep. The storyline will make it hard for you to go slow in reading the book. In fact, I devoured it within a day!

This book is a stand-alone, however the shacking Up world has been so much fun to read, that I recommend that you read from the beginning to truly understand what I mean when I say Helena does a fabulous job making each book special.
