With more than 700,000 active podcasts out there, that means 150,000 new podcasts have begun production in the past year alone. If you’re looking to join this hugely popular and fast-growing media medium, you need Podcasting Marketing Strategy: A Complete Guide To Creating, Publishing, And Monetizing A Successful Podcast.

Podcasting Marketing Strategy

Getting started comes with a lot of questions. There are a lot of moving pieces to a podcast but Podcasting Marketing Strategy has you covered.

Daniel Rowles and Ciaran Rogers have been running the Digital Marketing Podcast for more than 8 years. They’ve taken their experience with running a successful podcast and distilled it. It covers planning your approach, recording, editing, distribution, marketing, and more.

This guide is a great starting point for those who have never run a podcast before, along with those who are inexperienced in marketing. Much of it would still be applicable to more experienced marketers, though they may want to skip some of the chapters at the end (as they’re fairly basic).

Information is presented in an easy to understand manner. It’s detailed enough to help people of any experience level, but again, it may be a bit basic for those who understand the concept of content creation and distribution/promotion.

Though whole chapters are devoted to topics like podcast styles, recording, editing, and more, marketing your podcast is all crammed into a single chapter or two. Organic search, paid search, social media, PR, and more are a lot of area to cover and feel a bit brief at the end of the book. When “marketing” is in the title of your book, one might expect a good bit of it will focus on that topic.

Overall, it’s a great guide to get you going and covers all the basics from start to finish. With that knowledge in-hand, you can get started and learn more along the way.

Promising Podcasting

For those getting started with podcast creation, this is a great reference to get the ball rolling. It’s in-depth enough to give a good understanding of the various requirements, without burning you out before you even begin.
