A useful refresher on an important skill that I use every day at work. Easy to read, informative, with good examples shown throughout.
Taking Minutes of Meetings was a Godsend. Having to take minutes for work, I am always looking for new ways to get the job done efficiently! Outside of Roberts Rules of Order (which provides a depth of information that most companies don't follow wholesale), it is hards to find valuable information that will help you when having to take minutes.
With this book, Joanna has provided tried and true tools and tricks that ensure you get the most out of your meetings. Also, by becoming familiar with the information, she teaches, I became confident in my role as a minute taker and facilitator of meetings.
I can't thank Joanna enough - this book will help peoples' career and ensure they look prepared when organizing any meeting that needs useful minutes.
I would recommend this to people new to minute taking as well as seasoned individuals who want to to learn new ways to get the job done.
There is a lot of great information in this book. It gives a lot of details (a lot) about being a minute-taker. This would be a great reference book for someone who is a minute-taker or just starting out as an organization's secretary.
I have been applying for jobs recently where I would be required to take minutes of meetings. I don't do this in my current role so I thought this book would give me some useful advice and tips that I can put into practice if I am successful in finding a new position. This book provides information and advice regarding the formal process of a meeting and the different styles of minutes that you may be asked to produce.
An ideal reference guide which I am sure I will find extremely useful in the future. Highly recommended to anybody that is new to minute taking.
