Although the first chapter has no cowboys, it quickly establishes characters and a setting, and offers the promise of some bananapants high drama in its ending! Where will it go? I can't wait to find out!

I was super excited to read this excerpt from A Cowboy to Remember, and look forward to providing a more complete review when I get a chance to read the entire book.

I usually read Netgalley offers very carefully, because I don't request ARCs of a single chapter. Somehow I missed that with this request. Probably because I've purchased multiple Rebekah Weatherspoon books before, and couldn't wait to get my hands on a new one, especially one with a handsome African-American cowboy on the front. Imagine my disappointment when I finished the first chapter and tried to scroll to the next one. Ouch. Now I'm left confused as to how I'm supposed to review a single chapter? Well, it was very short. I hadn't gotten hooked on the main character (an African-American celebrity chef) before the chapter ended. In a (violent) cliff hanger. Now I have to wait a very long time to find out what happened. Thanks, Netgalley and Kensington Publishers for letting me read a chapter for free.

This was a preview of the first chapter of this book, and it has me chomping at the bit to get more of this story. I love Rebekah Weatherspoon and I know this book will live up to her usual standard of awesomeness!

I didn't realize this would only be the first chapter of the book, but I am so glad I requested it because this first chapter has me *hooked*. I love Rebekah Weatherspoon's writing, I can already tell I'll love Evie and I can't wait to get my hands on the whole second-chances goodness.

I'm half devastated I have to wait so long for this full book, but it's so great. The opening chapter has me hooked and that end is just like WOW. Love Rebekah's writing style.

I can’t remember being more excited for a contemporary, and the first chapter did not disappoint.. I cannot wait for this, and also everything else Rebekah Weatherspoon writes.

Cannot accurately review a one chapter excerpt, but if cowboy romance is your thing, none of that is present in the first chapter. What’s there is good, but it definitely won’t hook someone looking for cowboys.

I received a one chapter excerpt. I have enjoyed all the Rebekah Weatherspoon books I have read. Based on this chapter, I expect I will enjoy this one too.

So I received an excerpt of this book and not the full book. So my rating is only on what I read which is 130 pages out of 320.

I like where this book is going. Celebrity chef gets into an accident, loses her memory and with the help of her friend tries to get it back by going to her hometown. I like Evie and the little but I was able to see of her. Even in the real world being a chef is a cut throat industry and the fact that the author spotlights a Black woman exceeding in this field definitely was a plus for me.

Evie only talks about her ambition and briefly of what she had to do to get to the point she is at now but it tells a lot about her and what she wants.

Overall, I was sucked into this book was greatly disappointed that this wasn't the full read. I will be looking forward to its release because this is going to be good.

This is only for the first chapter so not much to say about it yet. I will say the first chapter definitely makes me want to read the rest. Hopefully it will be on netgalley soon? I’m giving it three stars because I thought this galley was for the whole book but it’s not. It’s definitely misleading.

This is only the first chapter of A Cowboy to Remember and I’ve been looking forward to this series since Rebekah Weatherspoon talked about it on Twitter, and this excerpt has made me even more excited. I want to know more about Evie, see how she ends up back with the cowboy, and I adore the friendships seen in this excerpt because definitely one of my favorite aspects of Weatherspoon’s book.

This excerpt got me even more excited for the book!!! I am readyyyy. And that cover is just excellent. It was an intriguing first chapter and i need to learn more. And how the chapter ends.??? Le gasp!

I really enjoyed the excerpt and am excited to read the full arc when it comes out. However, I am unable to review this title as it's only the excerpt.

Rebekah Weatherspoon is a newish author to me (that I’ve been hearing such good things about!) so I jumped at the chance to preview her newest book. I didn’t realize it was just a one chapter excerpt! The plot description sounds great. The single chapter was great. Now I need more! Looking forward to reading the full book!

Well, one look at that cover and I guess I like cowboy romances all of a sudden? Rebekah Weatherspoon has a gift, and I cannot wait to show more of her work at my public library.

I am a little cranky this is only a one-chapter excerpt, which I would have been fine with if that was more clear from the description.

This was a great first chapter. But that's all it is. A first chapter. At least I knew that going in this time, but I don't get the purpose of that. It sounds great, and I'm interested in it. I can't review just a chapter on my blog, but once the full book is out, I'll look into it then.
