Lost in Me
(Here and Now #1)
by Lexi Ryan

Kindle Edition, 216 pages
Published April 6th 2014 by Ever After, LLC (first published April 5th 2014)

Goodreads synopsis:
The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady’s and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush—the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost...perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don't remember dating, attempting to run a business I don't remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don't even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

4.5 Stars

This is the first book in the Here and Now series. Technically, this series is one over-reaching story. I wish they wouldn’t cut them up like that. But it seems to be a popular thing to do on Amazon right now especially with the more sexy books. This concept would have been worth forking out more dough to get the entire thing. I would have bought that in a second.

Basically a girl falls and hits her head and when she awakens it is a year later. She has the perfect body she has always wanted, started the perfect business and has not one but TWO hot guys wanting to do amazing things with her body. What’s a girl to do? But she can’t remember the previous year. How had she become engaged with Max? Who was the mysterious rocker Nate? And what will happen when he two worlds start crashing together? Will her memory get in her way or lead her to the life of her dreams?

Like I said, I like this concept. I was hooked from the first page. But this story, Lost in Me, is only the first part. I will have to buy the other sections of this to figure out how it all ends but I a willing to do that since I am so intrigued. This leaves you on a pretty big cliffhanger and if you are anything like me, you will need to know more too.

Yes, this is a sexy book but it is not trash like some people tend to think. There is a real story here. Lexi Ryan writes a nice story. It follows all the story structure rules, It pushes the suspense and gives you the angst to boot not to mention the romance but that is a given with a book like this. I wonder if Hannah’s twin sister will get a spin off series to go along with this one. Don’t make any assumptions about the guys in the book. The closer you get to the end the more you realize you don’t know anything at all.

If you like a sexy romance with a real plot, you will love this.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

This book contains so much sex, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I read this book easily in a few hours, and I though the story was super intriguing with the amnesia aspect (it reminded me of the movie The Vow). If you don't like love triangles, then you probably wouldn't enjoy this book, but I really liked how this story came together and how you really didn't know which guy to cheer for. The ending was a cliff hanger though, so can't wait for the next book to be released!

Hanna has always been insecure about her size 16 curves, but people don’t see her the same way she sees herself. Her twin sister is slim, trim, blonde and hot, so she decides to get Hanna’s childhood crush to take her sister out on a date. A year of things happen and Hanna wakes up in a hosiptal room, having fallen down a flight of stair, an engagement ring on her finger, and a huge case of amnesia. It seems that the last year was a dream becuase she finds herself engage to the MAX Hallowell. Her lifelong crush. All is well until some strange tattooed guy that she doesn’t know crawls into her bed to seduce her, and she has no idea who the heck he is. Can she get her memory back before she weds the right guy while being involved with the wrong guy on the downlow? Lexi Ryan creates adorable characters that had me reading all three books deep into the night.

Though Lost In Me is billed as book 1 in the Here and Now series, I didnt realize it wouldn't stand alone. It's a F/M/M romance and I appreciated Lexi Ryan's respectful treatment of the lifestyle. Her characters are compelling, and their journey is entertaining. There is plenty of chemistry and passion. My personal preference is not to read cliffhanger books, I really like closure, so Lost In Me got 3.5 stars.

Hanna has amnesia. She wakes up one day and she doesn't remember the last months of her life.
So imagine her surprise when she finds out that she is engaged to Max. He has been her crush since forever.
And not only that. Apparently, she is having an affair!! With a rock star!!! Hanna starts to wonder how was her relationship with Max. If she was having an affair, something was wrong, right?
Hanna must decide if she marries Max or if she wants to be with Nate.
I liked the story but it ends in a super cliffhanger!!!!

This book is swoon worthy it is that good it has so much angst and drama and I am here for it. Hannah is trying to figure out her life and she has two guys that want her like come on that sounds like a great story and it was but it ends on a big cliffhanger that was the only bad part other than that I loved it

Wait, what? I didn't realize this was a serial or multi volume book. I was reading along and boom it was over with some serious cliff hangers.
This is a sad book full of turmoil. The heroine has amnesia and man trouble. Yet it's a good story, well written and engaging. I got totally hung up in Hanna's life.
I don't read books written in first person, but it didn't bother me at all. In fact, I feel like it added to the story. I also never read serials, but I'm absolutely going to read the others this time.
If a book can make me ignore my hard and fast rules then it must be good, right?

Lost in Me by Lexi Ryan is book One in the Here and Now Series. This starts the story of Hannah and her trying to piece her life back together along with the two men that want to be in her life. Hannah has lost so time/memories in her life. Hannah is engaged to Max but she is wanting Nate in her life too. So she is trying to piece together this puzzle that is her life.
This book is a love triangle that does end in a cliffhanger.

I couldn't put this book down! Very good. Kept me guessing about what would happen next. And I can't wait until the next book because CLIFFHANGER.
I thought the writing was a little 'meh' but the story kept me interested and this won't be the last book by this author that I pick up!

Lost in Me is definitely a story that will reel readers in and keep them grasping for all and any information that comes their way. Unfortunately, it will also leave you unfulfilled and totally frustrated knowing that you have been left hanging and now have an agonising wait for the next chapter of this story. The writing style is addictive and the content was explosive, but I seriously hate cliffhangers! So, 3 1/2 stars simply because of the ending....

found this gem on Netgalley - WOW what a amazing read.. Hannas story was just wonderful.. Hanna has had a accident.. can not remember the last 11 mo or so.. So how did her life long crush's ring end up on her hand.. and who is this mystery man that shows up at her apartment in the middle of the night? I completely devoured this book and I had to run out and get book 2 and 3..

I will say this.. as much and I love Max... I am 100% TEAM NATE!!

Ok, I loved this one so much that after realizing the other two books in the series were out, I immediately had to go buy them to finish the story! This ends on a cliffhanger and trust me, you will want to know how it ends!!!
Hanna is suffering from amnesia and can’t remember the past 11 months. She’s caught in a love triangle and the writing is very, very good! And very sexy! A must read. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC!

My first book by Lexi Ryan and it will definitely not be my last!
I could not put this book down, Lexi Ryan really draws you in and makes you never want to leave! I have already purchase the next book in the series. She has a great writing style, even though you do not get the his side/ her side point of view which is what I normally go for. The only thing I did not like was that this book is a cliff hanger and the description does not tell you that.
I volunteered to read this book from Social Butterfly PR in return for my honest feedback, the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

This was my first Lexi Ryan book and I was pleasantly surprised! I loved it! I was a bit hesitant after reading the synopsis but I jumped right in and devoured it in about 3 sittings. It was so ANGSTY! And what a love triangle!! It also had such a strong suspense element that made my heart pound, I didn’t know who to trust and it made me want to quickly read on and see what happens. I never really liked Max and every time he came around it made me nervous. I liked Nate even though he drove me crazy during the middle of the book. I just wanted them to be together already!! I really liked Hanna and I felt so connected so connected to her. She was so relatable and I was so nervous watching her try to figure out what was happening. This book had so much anticipation and built up then the ending!! Ahhh so so good! I can’t believe it ended like that!! I can’t wait to read more from Lexi Ryan, especially book 2!!

I enjoyed the book and wound up reading the three. There were some grammar/ line errors here and there that bothered me a bit. There was a bit of repetition of the "choice" motif. That being said, I found myself entertained and enjoyed the three. Good beach reads or an easy read for vacation!

This is a trilogy of books that tells the story of a love triangle. On the whole, these aren't my favourite type of romance stories, having an extra person or being torn between two people isn't that appealing, but I did like the premise behind this one. Not only is our heroine torn between two men, but she is also suffering from amnesia after a nasty accident (or is it?) and when she wakes up she remembers nothing of her relationship with either man, but she appears to be engaged to one of them.
I liked the way that the story unfolded, with Hanna learning as much about her recent past and love life as we do. The only slight issue that I have, is that she accepts that all was good with at least one of the men, even though there is at least some evidence to suggest that all might not be as it seems. Surely, any decent man would give her the space to remember what they had, or at least go all out to win them over again after such an injury, rather than taking it as a fait accompli?
Hanna's mother is vile, I'm not sure what kind of self-absorbed creature would push a daughter into a speedy marriage when she has lost nearly a year of her life? Her friends at least seem much nicer and perhaps provide some balance there.
Overall I enjoyed this read, I'd like to know what's going to happen next and I think I know who I'd like her to end up with. Of course, this book ends on a bit of a cliff hanger, although not an entirely unexpected one. Let's see what the next book will bring.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

ARC received for review

I love it, but no 5 stars because of the @$*&%#%#@ cliffy.

I had to put it down several times because I wasn't sure it I wanted to finish it. One girl messing with two guys at the same time. Once you push past that the holes because of the amnesia start to get filled in, and I start rooting for the tatted rocker instead of the finacee. Then we get hit with a cliffy ... ARGH!
