I Recommended this book to all readers. Grab it now.
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
Once again Ms. London has brought her A-game and sucked me into her magical world. With How to Lose a Fiancé I wasn’t disappointed; it was fast, fun, sexy and hella cute to be honest. The world, writing and delivery were very well-done!! Nailed it! This is a recommended read!
An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.
My love of all things Stefanie London is no secret. However, even I had to pause when I saw that her latest book was going to be a Greek billionaire. It’s never been my favorite trope, and while I was sure it would be a good book, I wasn’t sure how I’d like it.
Well, I loved it. Dion Kourakis was an absolute gem of a hero. I was prepared to… maybe not hate him, but at least be ambivalent toward him. I was presently surprised when I fell in love with him as much as Sophia did. Then my only problem was how they were going to get together while still not letting Sophia’s dad win. Because seriously – fuck that guy.
Sophia was so funny. She realizes that if she refuses to marry the man her dad is trying to force her to marry, her dad will take his anger out on her mother. But he can hardly blame her if Dion refuses the match. So she sets out to do everything in her power to make him call off the marriage. She dresses in bonkers clothing that makes her look bananas, she tells Dion that her favorite hobby is taxidermy, then orders dozens of taxidermy animals to decorate his house with, even becoming friends of a sort with his nemesis. But Dion really wants Sophia’s dad’s company for reasons of his own, and he’s willing to put up with her antics if it means he can have it. But he can’t quite reconcile the over-the-top personality he’s seeing with the woman he researched. He starts to suspect something is up, and his inability to figure it out is driving him nuts. He’s determined to get to the bottom of it, though.
The best part of this was Sophia and Dion’s communication. Yes, it was based on a bit of subterfuge on Sophia’s part, but it wasn’t malicious or cruelly done. Her dad basically sold her, and, as you would imagine, Sophia did not take kindly to being sold. But she realized as quickly as we did that Dion was a genuinely good guy who didn’t realize the depths her father had gone to, and they talked everything out. They actually listened to each other, paid attention to what the other was saying, and reacted with openness and even more communication. And they had the same question I did – how can they be together while still not letting her father win?
This was such a great read. It was fun, light-hearted, and so, so sexy. I loved it. It’s the 2nd book in a series, but I didn’t read the first one, and had no problem with this one.
I must be on an arranged marriage kick! How to Lose a Fiancé was an enjoyable read. It was a little bit of a slow start, but I ended up enjoying it over all! Interesting characters and fun to see how their stories came together. I will be checking out more from Stefanie London!
This book was cute and funny. Sophia always does what her father wants, like a good girl, but when he wants her to marry a stranger.... she goes out of her way to make this sexy greek billionaire ditch her at the alter. Sparks fly, and Dion is set on convincing her that this arrangement spells out happiness for the pair.
I enjoyed the book, it was funny and cute. Some of the hi-jinks that Sophia gets up to are hilarious!

Sophia has always lived her life as the good girl. She always does what her parents ask of her. When her dad “offers” her up for marriage in order to keep his business from failing, she infuriated! She can’t believe her dad would have her marry a perfect stranger to save his business, that he’s gambled away! So Sophia devises a plan that’s sure to work. She’ll fly to another country under the premise of marrying Dion. Prior to the wedding, Sophia hopes to bring enough quirkiness, embarrassment into the relationship that Dion will honor his word of saving her dad’s business, but bow out of marrying her.
Dion, a self-made billionaire, has always had trust issues. Growing up without parents drove his need to prove himself. Wanting to make his mentor proud, before he passes, Dion enters into an arrangement to wed Sophia in exchange for owning her father’s business. He doesn’t want the business to make money. He wants to own it in order to destroy it! His mentor doesn’t know this, only his best friend. When Sophia arrives, Dion finds she is nothing like her father! In fact, he finds her refreshing. He’s even offended for her that her father would offer his daughter to a stranger. Dion finds Sophia’s antics endearing. Her taxidermy and the Baroness are hilarious! I think I even had a pair of “clown” pants growing up!
Great story! Unique, funny, heart wrenching at times, but ultimately a great love story. It’s about forgiveness and moving beyond the past so that you can build a future. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
I truly enjoyed this take on the arranged marriage trope. I liked Sophia's intelligence and ingenuity in figuring out her plan. (The stuffed animal was a fun addition!) I enjoyed the way Dion was smart enough to see through her machinations, and work towards gaining her trust.
The part I had the most trouble with was Sophia's attitude towards her mother. Sophia seemed almost wilfully ignorant of her mother's wishes while making plans for her.
That aside, I liked the fact that Sophia and Dion were mature and engaged in some honest conversations. Yes, there were still problems and trust issues came into play. But overall I was really impressed with how mature they were with each other. And I especially appreciated how things with Theo were resolved.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable book and I look forward to more by this author.
Sophia is told by her father that she's to marry Dion as part of a business deal. She's not happy about it, but she pretends to agree as she's always been an obedient daughter. Dion had agreed as he wanted to purchase the her father's business and would make the best of the situation.
Sophia's plan to get out of the deal is unusual and funny. You never know what to expect from her and it keeps Dion on his toes. When Dion and Sophia begin to share their true selves with each other, they find that their lives aren't so different after all.
Overall, a funny and heartbreaking read.
SUCH A FANTASTIC AND HEARTWARMING READ. Stefanie really did a good job at creating dynamic characters with complex issues. Loved how she handled where the story was going and even our villains.
This one was just okay. I liked it but the couple didn't have chemistry. I guess, ultimately, I didn't feel it was believable.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
Cute story, a nice quick read. Both Dion and Sophia have been put through the wringer by dysfunctional families, it is at times hilarious and heartbreaking to see them arrive at their happy ending.
This was such a good story. Sophia is being forced into an arranged marriage, and decides that the only way to get out of it is to make herself so off-putting to her new fiancé that he calls the whole thing off. The ploy doesn’t last for long though, because her intended, Dion, turns out to be a really good guy and she finds herself opening up to him. There are quite a few laughs in this book in addition to some steamy scenes. There was also a lot of heart. Sophia and Dion have a connection that feels genuine, and watching them fall for one another is beautiful. I highly recommend this one.

Ahhhhhhh How to Lose a Fiancé was just such a wonderful book and I just thoroughly enjoyed myself. I didn’t want to put this book down. I just fell in love with this wonderful story and it’s wonderful characters. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.
How to Lose A Fiancé by Stefanie London. This is Sophia Andreou and Dion Kourakis’ story.
This was s a fun read. Sophia and Dion’s characters were so much fun. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. It was fun seeing Sophia’s personality as she discovered her true self. Dion tries to distance himself from people and says he doesn’t believe in love but does he really feel that way.
This book left me with a smile and helped relieve stress from everyday struggles.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Format: Kindle Edition
I adored this so much! Seriously i haven’t laughed this hard in forever. The things Sophia did to make herself unappealing to Dion were so out there I just couldn't. I loved the story and swoon factor so much! A definite must read!
I really enjoyed this funny, yet crazy spin on a modern day arranged marriage. Sophie is determined to convince Dion, her future arranged husband that he would be better off dumping her in her father’s deal to save his failing empire. Dion is a complete surprise to her and not at all the kind of man she has thought he was. Sophie is determined to make Dion be the one to deny her on this arranged marriage with her funny, crazy ideas.
This was a great laugh out loud enemies to lovers read! My first read by Stefanie London that I throughly enjoyed!

How to Lose a Fiancé is a complete stand-alone novel by Stefanie London. The story is about Sophia the daughter who always tries to please her father, even if that means promising to marry a man she doesn't know in order to make a business deal and Dion an orphan turned rich, who seeks revenge from his (dead) father. You see Dion's father was involved in the business Sophia's father owns and now Dion wants to see the business burn to the ground since this is the last thing in the world that had something to do with his father.
If one can move past Sophia's fake love for taxidermy, they can read anything. I hated the idea of dead animals been used as decoration and it creeped me out a little bit too if I want to be 100% honest. I am only willing to accept the fox because she became a beloved character despite the fact that she was dead. Sophia uses a lot of over the top tactics to force Dion to refuse the marriage and some of them were good while others were bad, basically a hit or miss for me. I am not a huge fan of making other people feel bad when one of the main characters has a quest like Sophia did. Their romance was good though and I enjoyed the rest of the story. If the author plans to write more books and create a series, I wouldn't mind and I would love to see these characters again. Dion's past is not pretty and I liked seeing him letting everything go. Some broken relationships were mended and some sad events happened in this book. Overall, I have to say that the author did a very good job and I would recommend the book.
Sophia and Dion a match made in arranged marriage !
What happens when your family company is struggling and your father makes a deal and it includes you? Sophia has always done what is best for the family but she is certainly caught off guard when she realizes that she is to marry a man she has never met . Yes when she googles him he is easy on the eyes …..but he could still be sexy handsome and a weasel ..lol.
Dion has never wanted a wife but when she is written into the deal he decides to give it a go.
Sophia thinks that if she becomes everything that a trophy wife is NOT she will Lose this Fiance faster than you could blink an eye . She never expected Mr. Handsome and Debonair to be so thoughtful and kind . They are funny sexy and such a great story!!

This was my first read from Stefanie London and I am impressed with the story line and all the emotions I went through while reading.
Sophia reluctantly agrees to an arranged marriage to protect her mother. But she has her own plan. Dion wants to buy Sophia's fathers company for personal reasons and if that means a bride being in deal then who is he to say no. He wants the company more than anything else. Both of them had their own agenda in mind, but would they go through with it is the question.
Once the two meet and greet, Sophia does everything she can to get Dion to cave on the arranged marriage agreement, including introducing the idea of a life of taxidermy. For his part, Dion begins to see through Sofia’s plan early on. The lightheartedness of the first half of the book helped ease me into the whole “business” end of the agreement.
What I loved most was the lack of bullshit once they both understood the other’s side. Once they were called on their manipulations, both characters were completely honest with the other and worked together to get what they wanted. As a result, there’s a refreshing lack of soap opera drama and we’re left with two fabulous characters in their own right, getting to know each other and falling in love.
I really enjoyed this book. I was chuckling and smiling the whole time I was reading it. The antics that Sophia pulled to convince Dion he did not want to go through with the arranged marriage were hilarious. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an entertaining contemporary romance that’s fast-paced, warm-hearted, and fun.
