I enjoy Hannah Hart's online content and this book was a good translation into print. I found her humor and informative writing to be enjoyable. The holidays were a fun way to share recipes with the reader and create a timeline of investment. Overall I thought it was cute.
There is nothing like a great holiday drink to go along with all of the family and festivities to be had during the holiday season. I absolutely love Hart and with her spunky demeanor I couldn’t not love this book!
There is something for everyone no matter what your poison of choice is. This made the holidays that much more fun while baking and enjoying some Christmas movies on Hallmark.
The perfect holiday drink recipes are always a bonus to any meal or occasion.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and Netgalley for the gifted review copy. All opinions are my own.
I love a good cookbook! I often leave them around my kitchen for one I'm looking for inspiration! This was awesome, funny and entertaining.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.
What a fun holiday cookbook! Nothing you can't find in the Joy of Cooking or on the internet, but the pictures are beautiful!!! A great collectable for fans of Hannah Hart.
Hannah Hart, best known for her humorous antics on the internet, and preparing recipes while drunk, has released another cookbook, My Drunk Kitchen Holidays!: How to Savor and Celebrate the Year: A Cookbook. While the cookbook has recipes, this isn’t really a serious cookbook; rather it is mostly humor. Although the book covers a few well-known holidays like Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and Christmas, it also covers ones that most of us haven’t heard of, like National Get Over It Day, National Drink Wine Day, and Clam Chowder Day. There are beautiful photographs, and there are a few recipes that people will actually want to make, but this book is one that is mostly something to read and laugh over.
My download of this book seemed to be missing significant portions, including photos, recipes, and more. But from the limited part of the book I could see, I was definitely intrigued! I love Hannah Hart, and her voice came across well in this cookbook: fresh, lighthearted, fun, and inclusive. The recipes I could see were a bit elementary, so this would be a fun gift for someone that isn't as comfortable in the kitchen.
What a unique book! Hannah Hart takes the reader through every month of the year and shows unique ways to celebrate the usual holidays and some outlandish ones. This isn't your typical recipe book, so if you are looking for that, you need to look elsewhere.
This book was a self help, idea, and memoir all rolled into one and it worked for me. I went into reading it with an open mind and I loved it. I can't wait to pass this one along to a friend who may need to be reminded to celebrate holidays throughout the year no matter what is going on in your life.
I really enjoyed a great many things about this book. Characters were fleshed out and the plot was well spaced. Some of the secondary storylines could've used a bit more page space but all in all an enjoyable read!
I think that my file was incomplete, the book was all over the place and only offered a couple chapters. Interesting concept though.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review, but I was only given a few pages to read. I love Hannah Hart and I was excited to read this and the part I did read was fun, but I didn’t get to read enough of this book to give my full honest opinion of it. I follow Hannah Hart on YouTube and Instagram and I enjoy the content she produces. For that, I would recommend you pick up this book. I would suggest buying a hard copy though, because it wasn’t formatted properly to fit my kindle. It might just have been the copy I was sent but I would recommend a hard copy over the eBook.
This is a cookbook that I was so excited to review, as I find Hannah Hart to be so much fun. However, the ARC that I was invited to read had only 13 pages. The images and ideas seem like they make a unique and interesting set of holiday recipes. Unfortunately, there is not enough in this sample to base an opinion on. I look forward to checking out a finished copy of this one.
Hannah Hart is back with her trademark humor and lightness for a holiday cookbook.
Like her other books, Hannah provides easy to follow directions and fun ideas for gatherings of all sizes.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and Hannah for the opportunity to read and review this lovely cookbook.
I only got 13 pages to review. Looks like a good book, but with only a few pages I cannot tell completely.
I love a good cookbook, I leave them on my coffee table for conversation and I read them cover to cover. This was awesome, funny and entertaining.
I love Hannah Hart! I ordered this book because I really like her and think she has some really fun ideas for recipes!
I sadly, only got a super short preview of this, that I don't think gave you a good view of the book. So sadly, my review is neither here nor there. Hopefully when it comes out I can get it at the library so I can actually see the cookbook as a whole.

Hannah's newest book captures the same fun and funny energy of her brand, and as such this holiday cookbook offers plenty to enjoy! Adding humor to a cookbook has now become a bit of a trend, so when authors can do it well, their books stand apart from others. I thought a few sections felt a little bit stretched -- or perhaps that's just where an editor's pass on the manuscript took away from the flow and from Hannah's voice. Those little speedbumps have just a little bit of impact and are forgivable when you remember that many people don't read cookbooks cover-to-cover. I liked this one a lot and will pop back into it during the holiday season. Thank you to NetGalley, Hannah and publisher for granting me a happy look at this one!
This was only a sneak peek into Hannah's recipe book and everything was a bit random. It did seem interesting enough though. I was intrigued and will most likely pick it up once it's released and recommend to friends.
This is one of those books where the statement "don't judge a book by its cover" comes into play. It's a bit tough to write a review on this based off the excerpt I received. There were only a handful of disjointed pages and very little direction as far as the recipes go. There aren't even measurements for these recipes.
If you are looking for a fun, coffee table conversation starter this is a great book. If you are actually looking for recipes, I'd pass. At this point, I don't recommend the book.
Even though this is only a small snippet of Hannah Hart's latest foray into the realm of cookbooks this screams "Hannah!" in so many ways. From colour choice, to the photos, to language it is easy to be pulled into Hannah's orbit.
However, if you've never encountered Hannah Hart or My Drunk Kitchen before then this might be rather jarring. Hannah doesn't write your standard cook book. You get recipes that may not really be recipes, along with anecdotes, and mood boosting moments. My Drunk Kitchen Holidays! is an adventure. An adventure I suggest everyone try at least once. A copy of this is certainly going to end up on my shelf!
