This was a real gem of a book. It's basically a quote book, and I found myself highlighting almost everything. I wasn't necessarily a fan of the religious parts, but I can definitely appreciate the wisdom that Fred Rogers had. I found the writing to be fantastic, and it was fun to read. The book was a bit short, but I did enjoy it.
Absolutely love all of the Mister Rogers quotes. The collective wisdom he shares in all of his books is so important and life giving. I have loved all of his books and also love the TV show. I remember watching a lot of episodes as a child and always feeling like he was the type of person who sincerely and truly cared about children and others. I'm so glad he shared so much of his life and wisdom with the rest of us.
What can you say to Words of Wisdom From Mr. Rogers?
A wonderful short read full of Mr. Rogerisms that will make you think and inspire you. There are even a few quotes that I might post in my classroom next year. Fred Rogers as always is a servant with a heart that wants nothing more than to help and bring joy, especially to kids.
You can't go wrong with this if you need inspiration!
This was a really sweet, affirming book. The first section made me tear up, as I read some kind words that felt particularly relevant to my life right now. And I think that's the beauty of this book - no matter who you are, or where you are in life, there's something within its pages that will hit close to home for you. There's something in here to comfort and encourage us all.
In someone else's voice, these nuggets of wisdom and advice may sound trite, but they didn't feel that way here. Given who Mister Rogers was, they felt like sincere words from an old, dear friend, who just wants the best for all of us. What a gift we've been given - in his life, and books like this that continue his legacy of kindness and love.

It's a great inspirational book. Filled with wonderful insight on so many things about life. Fred Rogers has so many great things to say and this book is a great example of that.
As a 90s kid, I honestly found Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood a little bit frightening, particularly the puppets. That said, I am glad that as an adult I have rediscovered Mr. Rogers and his messages of love and acceptance.
This little book is a wonderful little reminder of how important every person on this earth is, of the importance of kindness towards others and kindness to oneself.
I would suggest this book as a great gift to anyone in your life who may be struggling or starting a new adventure in their life that may be a little scary - a new town, a graduation, a failed relationship even. I know I will likely be buying a few copies for a couple of people I know who ate struggling with "adulting" right now and could use a reminder that they are important, and loved and they can do it!
I read this book after receiving an advanced digital galley from #netgalley. I was not compensated in any way for reading and reviewing this book beyond the digital galley copy provided to me.
How can someone possibly say anything bad about Mr. Rogers? The layout of the book was a little choppy at times, but this was still a quick, enjoyable read with little tidbits of knowledge and advice from Mr. Rogers.
Here's a couple nuggets of wisdom from my favorite neighbor...
"I encourage you to look for the good where you are and embrace it."
"All we're ever asked to do in this life is to treat our neighbor-espeically our neighbor who is in need-exactly as we would hope to be treated ourself. That's our ultimate responsibility."
I enjoyed this book but wish it wasn’t so short! I read it in under an hour.
After watching Mr Rogers growing up and the documentary last summer, I’ve really come to appreciate him and his message. I only wish this was a bit longer.
Thanks to Netgalley and Hachette for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Life's Journeys According to Mister Rogers is a new book of quotes by Mister Rogers. Originally published in 2005, this reformat and re-release from Hatchette is due out 3rd Sept 2019. It's 176 pages and will be available in hardback or ebook formats.
This is a nicely curated book of affirmational quotes from Fred Rogers. They are loosely gathered into broad categories: who we are, about being loved, life-directions, etc. It's a short book with a quote or poetry or observation on each page.
Mr. Rogers was (and is) such an icon and ideal. He made the world a better place.
I really enjoyed reading these quotes. They are certainly inspirational, but some of them are truly profound.
Five stars, beautifully presented and uplifting.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
These little vignettes are beautiful to read and think about. It's a small book, but each piece has such meaning and is so impactful that it takes a long time to read just so you can think about each piece separately.
This little book is full of the inspiring, gentle wisdom that Mr. Rogers was known for. It would make a perfect gift.
Life’s journey according to mr Rogers. This is a adult visit to mr. roger’s neighbor. This is the perfect book to affirm moral of society. Every graduate present, birthday present. In life these are the rules
