I enjoyed the story but I feel like it started to drag toward the middle. It had a very uncomfortable scene around the half-way mark that may be very triggering to some readers. I enjoyed the twist near the end and it was something I never would have figured out on my own. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys thrillers that follow both the victim and investigative team.

Unfortunately I requested this book without knowing it was part of a series… therefore I didn’t get to read it.

Omg talk about a roller coaster read wow this book kept me on the edge of my seat threw out I just couldn't put it down this writer keeps you hooked and once your hooked your not letting go I found this book thrilling the characters were fantastic and well thought out and the little clues all the way threw keep you guessing until the end this book stays with you long after you close the book this book is well worth the read I promise you wont be disappointed

So when I read this I had no idea it was book six in the series. Fortunately it could easily be read as a standalone book. This was an easy to read thriller full of fun twists and turns

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book has been sat waiting patiently to be read since I was approved for it back in Nov, 19. I have no idea why it took me so long to get round to it, but I wish I'd got to it sooner.

This is the 6th in the D.S. Imogen Grey series by Katerina. I have previously read The Teacher by her, which is the first in this series. I gave that one a 4 stars or 8/10 and like this one, it is definitely not for the faint hearted at all.

As I have just mentioned this story should come with the warning ** NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED **, due to some of the content contained between the pages. Katerina Diamond has a warped mind for sure and knows how to portray some scenes of a sadistic nature, but she handles them well and they are in no way gratuitous as they help weave the story well.
When a body of a woman is found submerged in water, the most shocking thing is that she is actually still alive. When she disappears from her hospital bed after a second body is found, suspicions are awoken as to what is actually happening. She still remains anonymous much to the annoyance of the Police, who are frantically trying to work out what is going on. As the story develops there are plenty of twists and turns along the way as we are taken on a journey along with the Police, that culminates in secrets from the past being dug up.

Woman in the Water is a well written thriller by this prolific Author. It is a great addition to the D.S. Imogen series and I look forward to reading those that I have missed.

It's been a while since I have picked up this fantastic series and I'd forgotten how absolutely brilliant they are! I've always loved the blossoming relationship between Imogen and Adrian and my heart absolute broke reading this book, such a hard hitting brutal subject. I'm looking forward to reading the next book and praying that things can only get better. A brilliant read.

Adrian Miles and Imogen Grey have a real mystery on their hands in this twisty and topical procedural. I liked tis for the characters as much as the plot. It certainly kept me guessing. A good one.

It's probably worth reading the other books in this series, which I haven't, but if "Woman in the Water" is representative, it's a series I'll want to check out.

Be warned - there are some very graphic scenes in here and the villain is one of the most twisted I've encountered, but if you like that kind of thing, you'll love all the twists throughout this book and be hungry for more.

this is a compelling short chapter thriller, sinister tones that instantly appealed to me and kept me hooked.

Couldn't stop reading, especially after the twist midway through. I've never been disappointed with this series and this one certainly didn't let me down. Great to catch up with Adrian and Imogen again and can't wait for the next one.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I have mixed feelings. It has some very graphic scenes that I had trouble with. The villain in the book is one of the most truly psychotic I have ever seen. Did feel like the author was repeating ideas to the reader that were understood the first time. The ending took me off guard, I never guessed the direction it took. There is a cliff hanger at the end that I would have liked resolved. It will be interesting to see where the characters go in the next book.

DS Adrian Miles spots a group of people by edge of a river and stops to investigate. He finds a woman’s body and calls it into the station but as he does, he feels a hand grab his leg and realises that she’s alive. When they get to the hospital Adrian asks her who she is and what happened but she can’t remember anything. Miles’ partner, DS Imogen Grey comes to the hospital to help with the questioning but the woman is no more helpful with her and maintains that she doesn’t remember. So why is it that she runs at the first opportunity? And is she connected to the dead man who has just been fished out of the same river? As the investigation continues it will change the lives of Grey and Miles in a way that they can’t begin to imagine because they’re dealing with evil at every turn. And the worst is yet to come.

When I requested to read this, I didn’t realise that it was the latest in a series but I needn’t have worried as it worked perfectly well as a standalone. That said, I will read the previous books as I did enjoy this one. The writer does an exceptional job of writing about horrific experiences and this novel did include some quite harrowing and dark themes but they were detrimental to story and written well.

Where do I start? This is the first book I have read in the Miles/Grey series, but after reading Woman in the Water I want to read them all.
The book was really well written and tackled very difficult subjects and at times I was shocked but they were really well written. I could not wait to get to the end of the book and now just want the rest.
Highly recommended.

I very much enjoyed this book. It has a good story and excellent main characters. I would definately recommend this book.

Another great book in this series but certainly not one for the faint hearted as it has some very graphic parts to it. This was for me an excellent read but May not be to everyone’s taste,

Woman In The Water is the 6th book in the DS Imogen Grey series by Katerina Diamond and it is the first book not only in the series but by this author that I have read and wow! It did not disappoint!
I was gripped from start to finish with this story and I think it works well as a standalone but now that I have read this one I really want to read the others. I am desperate to find out more about the characters.
It is a police procedural crime thriller with so many twists and turns and an incredibly  shocking event that I am sure will have long lasting damage for someone.
It starts with DS Adrian Miles finding a woman's body in the water after trying to free the body from some weeds she suddenly grabs him and miraculously she is still alive... just. Another body is found further down the river but he wasn't as lucky. Where had they come from? Are the cases related? It falls to DS Grey and DS Miles to find out in what is probably one of their most dangerous cases yet.
It is quite a dark and graphic story that features domestic abuse and rape - the events of which I feel the author has researched in great depth and she handled the subjects with great sensitivity and understanding.
This story will stay with me for quite some time and I really can't wait to read the next one!
