I love a good romance novel. Its even better with a little mystery involved. This reminds me of Mary Higgins Clark - that twisty page turning suspense with a good solid love story mixed in. The descriptions of Zelia just made me want to see her in real life and be her friend.
2.5 stars- Sad to say that this is definitely the weakest entry in the series so far. The plot was fine enough (I'm always down for an art related serial killer story), but the characters here just strained credulity. They read like they were in their mid-fifties, not their mid-thirties, and spoke in an odd, overly mannered way. (Also, the hero's dad was creepy AF & I resented every moment he was on page making inappropriate comments that I think were meant to be charming but just did not connect for me). I really like the Solace Island community & vibes, so that buoyed things along for me, but overall, I'm hoping this was just a dip & not indicative of things to come
