A well written story with plot depth not usually found in romance. The characters are three-dimensional and the conflict interesting.
Wendy and her cousin, Brandi, inherit the family homestead complete with a B&B, tons of antiques and a few good secrets. Rob and his brother come to stay at the Inn to uncover some of their own family secrets. Love blossoms and Wendy and Rob have to overcome challenges to make it long-term.
I’m excited for the next book in the series.

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. Rob and Wendy meet at the inn that once was her grandmother’s but after her death, it was passed down to Wendy and her cousin Brandi. Rob is there with his brother to do some research about his uncle and a curse that was placed on his family. Wendy wants to pass the inn off to her cousin and go back to her life and Rob wants to lift the curse on his family. They both have to work some issues to get what they really wanted for themselves. This book had a good mix of romance and mystery. It was a fun read and I would read more from this author.

Really couldn’t get into the book. It was a good story but to soft for me. It didn’t flow along and kind of got bogged down in detail.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I love the family dynamics in this novel: however, I just could not connect with the main characters. However, give it a try yourself—if you are interested in a small town romance with a little heart.

I was a big fan of this book. I love when history (accurate or otherwise) intersects the storylines I read, and this book had that in there - which I loved. While Rob originally comes into Wendy’s life looking to resolve a mystery, it turns into so much more, and I really enjoyed reading how their lives intersect - both in the past and in the present. I thought the characters were well-written, and I enjoyed getting to know all the different people that are in Wendy’s life. I think this book had enough twists and turns to keep it interesting, and again, the historical undertones were great for me. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series and seeing how the other characters’ stories develop!

There was just something missing for me with this book. I wasn't completely drawn into it from the beginning, Overall it was a light, cute read. It seems fitting for a summer read.

Premise of the series is good. But the story just did not hold my interest past the first several chapters. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

This book had potential but the storyline wasn’t really enough to keep me occupied. I also didn’t love the two main characters, and there were way too many secondary characters with too many things going on. Sorry to say this fell a little flat for me. Thank you to netgalley for the arc.

This is a nice start to a new series Just Add Peaches. Wendy Marsh was working her way up the corporate ladder at a national hotel chain. Her plans are interrupted when her grandmother dies and leaves her and her cousin Brandi the family inn, Fountenoy Hall. Wendy wants to teach her cousin how to take care of the inn on her own so she can get back to her life and career in Atlanta. Dr. Rob Upshaw is a historian with a secret. His great uncle Louis had come to Fountenoy Hall in the 1930’s as a revenuer, when Wendy’s ancestors were moonshiners. Somehow Uncle Louis lost the mysterious “angel eyes” and the men of his family have been cursed and not been able to sustain a relationship since. Rob and his brother Hal are trying to find “angel eyes” and lift the curse. Since they are unsure what this item is, they don’t tell Wendy and her friends why they are really there. I really enjoyed Wendy and Rob and the rest of the friends. This is a sweet romance and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

Moonshine and Magnolias is the first book in the Just Add Peaches series and the first book I have read by Abigail Sharpe. Wendy puts her career on hold when she inherits half of her family's inn and meets Rob who is treasure hunting in the inn. Wendy doesn't know why Rob is there and this leads to a bit of drama.

Overall I thought this was a sweet, light contemporary romance. It was a little wordy and I didn't feel super invested in the main relationship. Aside from that, I would still recommend this if you are looking for a sweet romance.

This is Wendy and Rob’s book, Wendy has to put her career on hold when she inherits half of her familys Inn! What she needs to do? It’s very simple teach her spoiled cousin how to manage the inn she inherited! Then she can get back to her own life! What she doesn’t expect is the sexy history professor researching about the inn! Rob is a history professor and he is sent with his cousin to the inn to do some research for his family and their lost treasure during prohibition! there’s only a few minor issues standing in the way! His uncles old journals are very cryptic, he has only a vague description of the loot and the beautiful uptight innkeeper with a subtle sense of humor might hold the key to his quest! This book was definitely not what I normally read LOL it was well written and it’s a very sweet nice read! i usually like a little more heat to my book and it was kind of a lot of words? I guess like, too much talking I guess I’m not sure how to put it but I’m sure there are some people out there that will really Enjoy reading this book it just wasn’t my favorite! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

The story of Wendy and Rob. They meet when he is staying at her family's hotel, but he hasn't been completely honest about why he is their. She decides to have some fun and let him in to her life, so what will happen when she discovers the truth?

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Seemed like a cute romance but sadly "Moonshine and Magnolias" didn't do much for me. Maybe it was the characters or the storyline, but I found myself skimming this a lot more than I should to have considered it enjoyable.
