In It to Win It (Wynn Hockey, #2) by Kelly Jamieson....I am enjoying this series... thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview this book. JP Wynn ( always the "bad boy" but doesn't want to be) Taylor Hart ( the "good girl" who loves life) Such fun catching up with the whole Wynn family and their conflicts. There are so many feels, laughs, tears, misunderstandings, angst and steamy talk and sex all getting us to a very HEA. I can't wait for more Wynn Hockey and I can't forget Bryon who wouldn't love him.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Romantic Happily Ever After Easy-to-read Informative Action-packed Entertaining Funny Steamy Page-turner Wonderful characters Great world building Tear-jerker

J.P. Wynn is the black sheep of his family and that’s saying something. Considering his dad and uncle are suing his grandfather for stealing money and they all think his wife is a gold digger looking for a big fat payday. But even the two sides of his family can agree that him stealing his brothers girlfriend while she was still with him is crossing the line.

But that is all in the past and he’s made amends with his brother and is standing as his best man in his wedding. It’s at his brothers wedding that he meets this beautiful bridesmaid Taylor.

Taylor has sworn off hockey players after her ex just up and left without a word after getting traded. But a one night stand couldn’t hurt could it?? And so what if her ex is there and sees her flirting with j.p.. what she doesn’t expect is a fight to break out at the reception and she can’t deal with it. J.P. Just can’t catch a break and thinks that he fell back into his old ways by picking a girl who already had a boyfriend and can’t catch a break.

Never seeing her again is just fine with JP so when he shows up to his brothers place to eat some dinner he didn’t expect to see her there. After they clear the air about what went down JP thinks nows his time to strike and maybe ask Taylor out. But after hearing she’s going out on a date with someone else he backs off.

Deciding to be friends sets the course for most of this book with their chemistry an underlying thing that is building and building all throughout the book. When life happens and forces Taylor to readjust her perspective on certain things, JP is there to help her through it.

All the while their friendship is going on JP is taking some him time and working on improving himself. Trying not to react and get into any fights on the ice. But that all changes after they’re friendship turns into a relationship and he meets Taylor’s Ex on the ice and gets into round 2 with him.

Seeing the cause of him sliding backwards is because of his feelings for Taylor he breaks up with her. Will JP get his head out of his ass in time to get Taylor back? Or will it be too late and Taylor will have moved on?? You’ll have to read the book to find out.

I didn’t read the first book so I don’t know all the family members. And boy are there a lot of family members, I was getting very confused at times. I didn’t want to keep going to the front of the book to see who was who, so that was kinda frustrating. The book started off hot and then there was really not much going on I’m the middle. It seemed like it took forever for JP and Taylor to get together. This was just okay for me.

JP is the bad boy of the Wynn family.. He plays hard on and off the ice and he makes alot of mistakes. He beats himself up when he makes mistakes because all he wants is to make his family proud of him. Relationships get in the way so JP just has fun

Taylor meets JP at his brothers wedding.. After some fun flirting at the wedding they have a one night stand but when one night becomes multiple Taylor starts to break her rule of not falling in love.

Lots of great banter with these two and it was fun watching their interactions

Can they realize that they are really what is best for each other? Loved this book

I really enjoyed In It to Win It, Kelly Jamieson’s latest installment of the Wynn family hockey series. The characters were likable and well developed, and the the plot was fun, with plenty of hockey to keep me interested.

JP keeps getting into trouble. He thought he was having a great time flirting with Taylor, a bridesmaid at his brother’s wedding, when suddenly someone punches him. He has no idea that this is Taylor’s ex boyfriend. After immediately having flashbacks to sleeping with his brother’s girlfriend, he feels terrible about himself for again going after somebody else’s girl. He doesn’t know that Taylor hadn’t spoken to her ex in months, and was happy to spend her time with JP until fists began to fly.

I really enjoyed this book, and the chemistry between JP and Taylor is hot, hot, hot. But there were a few plot points where it seemed as though if JP and Taylor simply had a conversation, everything would’ve worked out a lot sooner. Of course, this would not lead to a fleshed out romance with their entire journey to their happily ever after. JP was an intriguing hero, with a misplaced bad boy image. I liked his honesty about needing to improve himself and his own reactions before placing blame on anyone else. I really like these two of them as a couple, too, and absolutely adored their bonding over Taylor’s dog Byron.

I love the Wynn family and all their craziness. The details unveiled in this book just made me more excited to see what lies ahead for them!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was such a great book. This book is JP’s and Taylor’s book. I have to say that I did not really like JP in the first book in this series but in this book he grew on me. He was such a sweet and romantic guy and he was only really looking for someone to love him and have someone love him in return. Taylor has had such bad luck with men. When she and JP meet the chemistry between them is hot. Their flirting leads them to a very hot one night stand. There is a misunderstanding and they go their separate ways. They keep bumping into each other and they decide to be just friends. The problem is they have this magnetic pull that will not let them forget each other and as hard they try to pull apart it keeps pulling them back together. The question is will they be able to stay connected or will things keep happening that keeps pulling them apart? Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Terrific sports romance

This book had a lot of heart. Generally the heroine has a aa bit more angst than the Hero, but in this one the Hero had the lions share. He was also the more likeable character. That isn’t to say that the heroine was unlikeable, buy I thought the Hero, JP Wynn the Hockey Star from a Hockey dynasty was a better character. Taylor, the speech therapist is a good person, but some of her reasons for doing things were silly.

The two meet at the wedding rehearsal of JP’s brother, Theo to Taylor’s friend Lacey. Both are in the wedding and are attracted to each other and they end up sleeping together that evening and again the following day. JP has some issues with his family due to the fact that his brother Théo haas always been smarter than him and held up to him as the perfect son. He has always felt that he can’t live up to the perfect standard that Théo sets, then a year ago. His family is now all angry with him for stealing Theo’s former girlfriend Emma (the one prior to Lacey). They all think it was awful thing for a brother to do.

Taylor had been dating a Hockey player named Manny, on the team Théo coaches until Manny got traded and ghosted her. However Manny shows up at the wedding and Taylor makes him Jealous of JP. No more spoilers, but JP works very hard throughout the story to better himself and though he doesn’t always do the right thing, he is a great guy. The romance is beyond steamy. The side characters are funny and entertaining. I really enjoyed the journey and the. Fact that JP was willing to do all sorts of out of the box things for a manly hockey player in order to try to work on himself, reduce stress and get in touch with his emotions. Great story.

The second book in the Wynn Hockey series, is FABULOUS!! I love JP, he is the underdog that you want to win. With everyone in the family, not liking him much, he still tries. He wants to not be the outcast because he slept with his brother's girlfriend, by mistake. But he still did it.

When he meets Taylor at his brother's wedding, he is all over her. He doesn't realize that she is the 'ex' of one of the other guests, and all hell breaks loose, another check against him.

Such a great story of overcoming your past and seeing that your future can hold the best things ever.

Kelly Jamieson brings us yet another winning hockey book with the Wynn family series. I love all the branches of that very large extended family tree she includes in the front of the book. This attention grabber is about JP who we got a good shot of in book one as the ne'er do well brother who has a bit of a short fuse on the ice, as well as getting a seriously bad rap by his family for a suspect relationship with his older brothers girlfriend. Poor JP just can't win. Although he's trying and has made up his mind do "do better." All the while his family never misses a beat reminding him what a bomb out he is. When he meets Taylor at his brother's wedding rehearsal, the two quickly form an attraction and Taylor does something totally out of character and ends up spending the night in JP's room. I liked the chemistry between the two. Taylor has a lot going on in her life at home, faced with some life changing moves that include finding a new place to live along with finding a new home for her dog, JP willingly helps her out and takes the dog! Oh man, did I love that dog. So does JP and he likes Taylor even more, so having the dog JP, smart guy that he is can see more of Taylor. JP really is a great character, he's a great listener lending an ear to Taylor as she works out her feelings surrounding her family. And despite things that happen on the ice, he really is trying harder not to lose his temper.
He gets some great guidance along the way from his brother and a couple unexpected family members as he tries to work through some of his issues and his feelings for Taylor. When the pucks up things with Taylor just a tad.... oh to be in that guys head.... just sayin'. How in the world is he going to fix things with Taylor? What is up with Everly and Wyatt? This is a must read in the world of the Wynn family and ready, waiting and anxious for the next book! Please tell me Everly and Wyatt are getting their own book!

JP overcomes his bad reputation!

Hockey player Jean Paul (JP) Wynn knows that anytime the Wynn family gets together something is going to happen. His brother Théo has forgiven him but when he’s around the rest of the family, things are a little problematic because he has a reputation with women.

J P is very attracted to Taylor Hart, one of the bridesmaids and sexy times happen before during and after the wedding. The relationship between JP and Taylor gets more serious when JP takes care of her dog when she has to move out of parent’s house, she realizes that there is more to JP other than a bad reputation.

In It to Win It doesn’t have much hockey in it but it has a lot of emotion for both JP and Taylor with what is happening in their lives that makes then grow as characters and that is the part of the book that I liked the best.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. I have read many works of Kelly Jamieson, especially her hockey series. She has a great writing style (very few grammatical errors), keeps the writer engaged and adds humor to most of her books.

This book follows JP Wynn, the bad boy/screw up of the Wyn hockey family, and Taylor, a speech pathologist. Taylor and JP meet at the wedding of his brother and her friend; they end up hooking up the night before and night of the wedding. However, Taylor's ex sees them leave together and ends up starting a fight which ruins the wedding and causes tension between JP and Taylor. Despite their intent to leave each other alone, they keep getting thrown together because of his brother and her friend. When some family problems arise for Taylor, JP steps in to help and it brings them closer. However, Taylor starts to be a distraction for JP the changes he's trying to make to get his emotions under control on the ice and off.

Overall a good book and very well written. Was not my favorite of her books but still a fast and fun read. My biggest issue I think was how Taylor seemed to blame JP for things that were not even his fault. It all worked out later in the book but that annoyed me in the beginning.

So, I really enjoyed the first book in the series and of course, did not like JP. I was interested to see how the author would redeem him. It is safe to say that I now am on the JP bandwagon.. He really is trying! I think Taylot is a great match for him, her work is so admirable, and her love for family and her dog tugs at the heart. There are great moments of humor ( her first date with Anthony!) Christmas with Byron, knitting sweaters! A very fun book! I really appreciated it's message

I love the family dynamics in the Wynn hockey series. In it to Win it starts off with JP still getting flack for stealing his brother’s girlfriend even though said girlfriend had told JP they had broken up. Theo has forgiven him but JP can not forgive himself. JP and Taylor have a down and dirty hookup at Theo and Lacey’s wedding. The story takes off from there with more bad decisions, hockey and sex. Looking forward to Everly and Wyatt’s story.

This starts with a down-and-dirty hook-up at a wedding between JP and Taylor that leads to a fight between JP and Taylor’s ex. I thought that was setting up the novel for lots of sex interrupted by occasional bits of plot. But I was pleasantly surprised as the novel then moved to be more of a character study as both JP and Taylor deal with their feelings of loneliness and inadequacy as JP steps up to help Taylor with her dog as Taylor’s family life undergoes a shock. I found myself caring for these characters and pulling for them.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Wynn Hockey series by Kelly Jamieson. A hot hook-up with your friend's brother-in-law makes it hard to go your own ways. There are so many things revolving around Theo and Lacey's wedding that keep bringing JP and Taylor together. Not only is their sexual chemistry off the charts, they like each other too so they were never really going to be a one-time occurrence.

JP's family, Taylor's ex who also plays hockey, her parents' split and mom's new love interest and the need for a temporary home for her dog - there are plenty of things these two have to deal with which make the story more interesting.

I genuinely liked these two and watched their ups and downs as they found their way together to be highly entertaining. Another great read from Jamieson.

I like that the author jumped right into JP's story. He was not well liked in book 1 since he stole his brothers girlfriend. We did find out a few truths about that at the end of Theo and Lacey's book that didn't paint JP as bad as you are lead to believe. In fact, we learn a lot about JP in this book that shows there is always more that meets the eye. I like that we learn that JP is actually a really great guy who just doesn't always make the right choice.

Taylor is a girl who believes in love even if she has never experienced it herself. She isn't afraid to put herself out there to find it. She and JP start off on the wrong foot but the undeniable attraction is persistent and it takes a bit for them to find their footing. There is a bit of push and pull in the first half of the book but we do learn a lot about both these characters during this time.

It's not necessary to read book 1 first, however we do get a lot of Theo and Lacey in this book. We also get to see that spark for our next couple in book 3. I really like Everly and Wyatt sounds pretty intriguing.

JP has a reputation for acting out without thinking on and off the ice. When he meets Taylor, he continues this streak, but as they continue to see each other, JP feels like he has turned a corner. While their relationship flounders with misunderstandings, their family and friends try to help them navigate through them. Kelly Jamieson added some great twists and turns with secondary characters and kept me turning the pages long into the night. I strongly recommend this book!

In it to win it

Will they let love in?

Can they let love in or let fear rule the life they are both scared to want.

He’s a nice guy that doesn’t give himself credit and only see’s his flaws. She everyone around her biggest cheerleader. What they don’t realize is that if they just slowed down they might discover together how great forever could.

The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Authors Blurb: JP Wynn: I admit, I’ve made some bad choices—on and off the ice.
Now all I want to do is show my team I can control my emotions while I’m playing and redeem myself with my family, especially with my brother, Théo.I hate that I hurt him and I’m determined to stay out of trouble. But the hot bridesmaid at Théo’s wedding is tempting me into another bad decision.
A little flirting and a hook up with Taylor seem harmless . . . until Manny Martinez jumps me on the dance floor and starts beating the crap out of me.
And just like that I add one more bad decision to my résumé.

Taylor Hart: I always thought hockey players were hot. Now I think they’re crazy. Manny broke my heart when he got traded to another team and left without even a goodbye.
Then he showed up at my best friend’s wedding. All I wanted to do was show Manny that I was over him. And the groom’s sexy brother, JP, seemed more than willing to be my distraction. But after the way everything went down, I want nothing to do with any of them. Easier said than done. Especially when Lacey’s new brother-in-law is always around. . . .And I keep thinking about the wedding night, when we snuck away to his room for the best sex of my life.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I loved JP and while yes, he was a bad boy, how much was an act to cover what he felt deep inside? He just played up to everyone's expectations, however he did steal his brother's gf, but they should be thanking him, not throwing it in his face, and Theo got his true love in the 1st book. Maybe that's why I liked JP so much, he was under appreciated! A champion with a hot temper and good in his heart.
Taylor was seriously having a rough time in all aspects of her life and wanted to cut loose. Her and JP had that chemistry in spades and it was hot! They also talked, kept a few secrets but understood each other when it counted. I will admit to liking JP's character more than Taylor's. She wasn't as goody two shoes as everyone thought, imo, and played a part in some of the turmoils without really owning up to them when she should have.
Now the Wynn family can either help or hinder a cause, and all throughout these two got all that and more lol. My emotions went right along with all the events and I loved the quirky fur baby, who added some hilarity of his own.
A good, lighter read for me.
I enjoyed an advance reader's copy thru Netgalley and giving my opinions voluntarily.

Very fun read! JP Wynn come from a hockey family, he's been skating on thin ice with his family, dating you brother's girlfriend before she becomes an ex tend to shine it in the bad light. But in the last book, JP and his brother came to terms with it and began healing their relationship. Fast forward to his brother's wedding, what was suppose to be a fun pre-wedding fling with the hot bridesmaids turned into a reception fiasco! Taylor didn't want to be interested in another hockey player, especially since he ghosted her but JP's charm just is too much to resist, after all what could one night hurt? Bother JP and Taylor have things to work through, neither wanting to commit but attraction can be a strong pull. I enjoyed JP's flirting, and felt Taylor was a little high strung and quit to jump out of situations but I warmed up to her by the end of the book. Very entertaining, great characters and real LOL moments! Can't wait for the next installment of the Wynns.
