I did not realize this was not the entire book therefore there is not enough content for me to comment on. Disappointed. I love this author.

A taste of what’s to come in Jeffries’ second installment to her “Duke Dynasty” series and it sounds promising. I’m reserving my judgement for Lady Gwyn as what I glimpsed of her in “Project Duchess” seemed okay, but Major Joshua Wolfe was certainly an intriguing character. Can’t wait for the full book to be released!

I can't wait!! Just finished Heywood's story and. I need more! The family is amazing and with every story I want to read about everyone's happily ever after. Each character is so well written and witty, you can easily fall in love with all of them. I haven't felt this excited in a long time regarding a series

First off, I was not aware that this was only a chapter sampler. I'm sure its my fault for not looking closer at what I signed up to read. So that was a little off putting to me when I was ready to dive into a new Historical Romance.

However, I was mostly upset because I loved what was on the few pages I had in my hand. I really like the set up of the story. I like the desperation, yet feistiness of the leading lady. I look forward to how this intriguing plot works itself out.

I am excited for how I will fall for this rouge that is blackmailing our main character. I'm sure there is a fun reason, or a dark reason, and I want to know!

I have never read a Sabrina Jeffries novel before, but will be on the look out for them from now on!

This is just the first chapter of The Bachelor. This is the second book in a series- I have the first book on my bed stand and this glimpse into the second book makes me want to read it more. I like series that have recurring characters in each story. This is Gwyn's story and she seems headstrong. There promises to be some sparks! I'm looking forward to it!

A little snippet of The Bachelor and how fabulous does it sound? I cannot wait for the entire book. Joshua, brooding just the way I like them. Gwyn has a secret and can we guess what it is? Maybe, maybe not. Way to tease us.. HA!

Absolutely loved the first chapter of this book. I did read the first novel of the series, Project Duchess, which will give you a bit of background on the two main characters. I’m sure this can be read as a stand-alone but I love the character depth you get from seeing them as secondary characters prior to their story.

Again, I only read the first chapter on netgalley so I can’t give a full review. I will say this chapter pulled me in more and made me excited, so I’ll definitely be trying this when it’s released.

Enjoyed the first chapter. It set up some of the plot points and has me interested to find out what happens next. Excited for the rest of it to come out.

Nothing much I can say since it was only the 1st chapter with 16 pages...
But, just reading that 16 pages, I have a feeling that it will end up like other romance novels.
Not sure if I will buy the book when it comes out next year...

Looks like I need to go read the first book in this series—this sample chapter was a solid enough setup that I'm hooked. It seems like these characters have enough history that I will actually need to read the first one, anyway. Looking forward to diving in!

Historical romances are a favorite of mine but somehow or the other I have missed reading any of the books by Sabrina Jeffries. And how I wished that this one was a complete book and not the sample first chapter. The introduction was catching and can't wait to read the rest. This is book #2 in a series but like always with me, I haven't read the 1st one. Surely going to check the 1st one in the series while I wait for this whole book.

Sabrina Jeffries has been a favorite author for years - her writing style and the characters she creates are always so real and wonderful.

Soooo.... this is only the first chapter of the upcoming book. Its going to be the 2nd book in the series. Both main characters were very involved in the 1st book. I'm sure it'll be a stand alone but the 1st book was very good and is worth reading.
As for chapter 1, it is a very good start and I can't wait to read the book.
