Only the first chapter which was great. Now I want the rest! Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to review.
This was disappointing. I was expecting the whole book but only received the first chapter. I reread the first book in the series expecting to go right into the second. I feel I can’t really review a book based on the first chapter.
This first chapter was good. I didn't realize that the chapter was over and I kept trying to scroll because I was not ready for it to be over. I'm looking forward to the rest of the book.
An excellent start to a new book. One chapter is a super big tease. I am looking forward to reading the rest. How much longer do I have to wait for the actual book?????
Well, the first chapter is promising, a feisty heroine with a protective twin and a brooding hero to boot. I look forward to more!
I am really confused because I only got the first chapter and I don’t know if the pdf I wrong or whatever but the first chapter was good!
This was only the first chapter and I was left wanting so much more! I've been excited for this couple since reading their introduction in the first book.
Super disappointed that this was only a chapter! It already roped me in with the storyline & characters! I don't want to wait until February!
This excerpt was intriguing and I can’t wait to read more, but I also can’t review a first chapter excerpt as it is not enough information.
Of course this is just chapter one, and of course I’m already hooked.... can’t wait to read the whole book!!!
Sometimes it's a terrible idea to read a book preview when it's a long wait until the book comes out. This is one of those instances. Gwyn and Joshua had fantastic chemistry in Project Duchess and I couldn't resist even a peek into their story. A gruff hero, a bold heroine with a secret, and a villain I already want to punch? Sign me up. I can't wait to see how Gwyn and Joshua will thwart her blackmailer in The Bachelor . More importantly, I can't wait to see how those two will find their happily ever after. They promise to be an absolutely delicious couple.
What a disappointment. This is only a teaser. Definitely only a teaser, but there is no doubt that this is on my TBR. Sabrina Jeffries I can hardly wait until next year.
Absolutely loved the premise of this series. The first book was excellent and can’t wait to read this one. These characters really intrigue me.
I love all of Sabrina Jeffries' books and this one definitely lived up to my standards. I was instantly pulled into the story and finished it in one sitting because, why sleep? I love the addition of danger and suspense - it makes the adventure that much better.
I started this chapter three times not realizing that that was it!!! It I kept thinking I have to be wrong, there is no way I could be left this way but alas I am and now I can't wait for more😑
I got to read the first chapter and it left me wanting more! The first book in this series was good but this one is going to be more intriguing I think. In it we see Lady Gwyn again and throwing her together with Joshua again! I can't wait to see where the rest of the book takes us with this couple!
I wish I'd noticed that this is only the first chapter, because I am eager to read the rest of the book! The first book in this series hinted at a relationship between the two lead characters in this second book, so I look forward to reading their story.
I really liked the first chapter, cannot wait for more! It's hard to write more than a few lines if you are given a single chapter, isn't it?
Intriguing first chapter. Can't wait for the rest of the book to be available. I'd love to see Joshua get his happily ever after.
Lady Gwyn Drake is now thirty & has long protected her family's reputation by hiding an imprudent affair from her youth. But when her former suitor appears at Armitage Hall, manhandling the heiress and threatening to go public with her secrets, it's Gwyn who needs protecting. Major Joshua Wolfe, the estate's gamekeeper, rescues her. I received a preview of the first chapter from NetGalley, which I eagerly read but the big downside is that I need more. The first chapter does exactly what it should, sets the scene & draws you in so that you’ll keep turning the pages – only at the moment there are no more pages to turn.
