This was only the first chapter of the book, and I’m hooked. Can’t wait to read the rest of Gwen’s story!
This was a great start to the book. I look forward to reading the book. I really enjoyed "Project Duchess," the first book in this series, so I'm looking forward to this continuation.
may only be a chapter tease, but it looks like a pretty good start. looking forward to getting to find out just what happens next :)
While it's only the first chapter, I'm excited to see how Gwyn and Joshua's relationship turns out! I was a big fan of the first book featuring Joshua's sister and Gwyn's brothers' relationship, and Gwyn is a refreshingly not missish heroine! Also looking forward to how a jerk trying to capitalize on shaming a woman for her sexuality gets his just rewards!!
Wow. what an opening chapter. Cant wait for the full novel. but difficult to say more than that.
I received this ARC chapter from NetGalley for an honest review.
Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for sending me this sneak peek! IM SO SO EXCITED FOR MORE OF THIS BOOK!! I flew through book one in the beginning of June and as soon as I saw this was up on Netgalley, I knew I needed to get it even if it was just the first chapter. I’m dying for more of this story and from the first chapter, it seems like it’s going to be just as good as the first one! It’s action packed and Josh and Gwyn have such great tension and chemistry. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend reading book one in preparation for this one! Here’s hoping this preview turns into the full book on here, I’m so excited!
I have not read any of Ms Jefferies books for a while but have always enjoyed them on the past. I was disappointed to find this was only chapter 1, but the set up was very good and I hope i get to review the entire book. It is very hard to rate a book on one chapter but from past books i am sure it will be exciting.
I received an advance readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
There’s not much to spoil as this was only the first chapter, but I will say it was very well written with a very unique plot, and it set me up to want to read the full book as soon as it’s published. I hope the book lives up to the first chapter
I recieved the first chapter of The Bachelor via NetGalley and I have to say that if the book continues in the same way as the first chapter we're in for another great book by Ms. Jeffries. Reading this chapter reminded me how much I loved lady Gwyn and Joshua in Project Duchess, the first book in Duke Dynasty series and I'm very much looking forward to reading their story once this book is published. March 2020 can't come soon enough.
I loved the first chapter! Sabrina Jeffries is one of my favorite writers and she is an automatic read for me. I started reading the first chapter and was so disappointed to see it was only one chapter and kept going back to download it. The hero and the heroine and hero was exciting to read about. Their chemistry was very good and I want to see where the story goes.
Well this is extremely frustrating. This ARC was only the first chapter. I can’t review a book based on just one chapter so I’m not sure what the point is of having it up on netgalley. I’d gladly read and review the whole book should it become available, howvever.
After reading Project Duchess I was really hoping for a Gwyn/Joshua book and now here it is! I didn’t realize this was just the first chapter but I thoroughly enjoyed the brief preview! Can’t wait to read it in it’s entirety.
We always buy Sabrina Jeffries for our library. I didn't realize that it was only the first chapter...but it looks fun.
This first chapter sneak peek is sooo enticing. Gwyn and Joshua really stood out in the first book, so I'm excited that this second book will be theirs. Starting off with a blackmail is pretty bold. It's a super quick one chapter read, but already I kept trying to swipe at my e-reader hoping that the rest of the book was miraculously there, but no such luck. I look forward to reading the full-length book when available.
This title, Sabrina Jeffries zThe Bachelor would not download correctly for me so I cannot provide a better review. That said, I know we will order it as Ms. Jeffries books are always a hit with our patrons.
I'm a big Sabrina Jeffries fan, so I jumped at the opportunity to read the first chapter of her upcoming release of The Bachelor. They say you can't judge a book by it's cover. That may be so, but this book's cover is among my favorites. I would love to have a framed print of it. But I digress.....
Lady Gwyn Drake is preparing for her come out at the advanced age of 30. Before leaving for London, she meets an old acquaintance with whom she has a past, and he is blackmailing her. When he begins to get physical, Major Joshua Wolfe, the family's gamekeeper, comes to her rescue. He doesn't know the truth of Gwyn's meeting with the blackguard...
Thus ends Chapter One. Nooooooooo! Don't make me wait; I need more! I love that Gwyn isn't a blushing young debutante. And Joshua is my favorite type of hero - a gruff, brooding wounded man. Dang, I really want to read this book!
I received an ARC of Chapter One of this book courtesy of the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
I was granted a short previous from this book through Netgalley.
After reading the previous book in this Duke Dynasty I was definitively eager to see more of all the siblings.
So here is Gwyn’s Story, she is from the second marriage bed of her mother.
This introduction to the story left me with a taste of not enough.
How I do hate to read stories when I am left hanging at the cliff and with so many months in front of me before its release.
What ever, it was already preordered when the launch date was set.
So be back in 2020!
