The perfect Christmas love story, Christmas in Evergreen has a little bit of everything. This book is set in the most amazing little town and Lisa and Kevin help to bring back a true treasure to the town and encounter some Christmas magic in the process. This is a great story and will leave you with that HEA feeling.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for review based upon my honest opinion.

What can I say about the town of Evergreen that you don’t already know.? It’s the best place on earth to be at Christmas time, As good as the movies are, as a book, it is even better. I really enjoyed the story, it left me with a warm fuzzy feeling where I just want it to be drinking hot cocoa by the fire and watching the snow fall lightly outside my window. Such an enjoyable book and I was left with such a good feeling.

I love Hallmark’s Christmas in July movie celebration and I think Christmas In Evergreen: Letters to Santa in novel form is the perfect way to keep the celebration going into late summer. Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa was one of my favorite holiday films from the 2018 collection and I’m beyond glad to see it’s been turned into a novel by the talented Nancy Naigle.

Lisa returns to her hometown for the Christmas season and gets the unique opportunity to bring a childhood staple back to life. Along the way, she meets a charming contractor (Kevin) who helps make her dream a reality. Along the way, they stumble on a letter to Santa that’s a quarter-of-a-century old. Lisa and Kevin pair up to give Evergreen a Christmas it won’t soon forget.

Such a sweet book, with a cute romance at the center. Great characters and although the plot is a bit predictable, it’s a heartwarming story. Perfect any time of the year, but I can’t recommend Christmas In Evergreen: Letters to Santa (or the original Christmas in Evergreen) enough as a way to kick-off the holiday season this fall.

An easy read that is perfect for several generations of the family to share.

Oh my goodness!

There’s nothing I love more than winter time with hallmark channel movies playing while enjoying a nice warm cup of hot chocolate, so to be able to read this book in August and get a glimpse of what my winters going to look like was incredible. As per the movies this book was a little predictable but that’s what makes them great!

It was an incredibly well written novel and the recipe in the back was the perfect addition.

Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa is based on Hallmark movie and is a sweet, clean romance that I enjoyed.

Lisa Palmer and Kevin Miller both have wonderful memories of Evergreen, Vermont, a "real life Santa village". Those memories bring them both back to town and fate brings them together to resurrect Daisy's Country store, the site of many of their favorite memories.

Working together and with other residents, they help Evergreen celebrate Christmas like they used to and help everyone remember that "keeping family and friends close is the greatest Evergreen tradition of them all."

Nancy Naigle's descriptive prose paints a vivid picture of the town, all the Christmas finery, and the magic of the holiday - the lights, trees, Christmas bells and a white-bearded resident with a twinkle in his eye named.....Nick.

I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

If you enjoyed the first installment Christmas in Evergreen, you will most certainly fall under the spell of the sequel Letters to Santa. Lisa, a former Evergreen local, returns to her hometown for a holiday that might turn into something much bigger for her. She embarks on a fixer-upper project of an old shop held dear by the whole community. In the process, she finds a new sense of community life and even a budding romance with contractor Kevin. It is your typical small-town festive read with a touching, feel-good love story.

Based on the Hallmark movie, it is pretty faithful to the film, except for the epilogue where the author took some liberty and added an extra twist. Personally, I felt it was a bit unnecessary as it kind of dragged on for a bit too long, introducing new characters and at the very end, it is not ideal.

Anyway, if you want to enjoy a slow-paced romantic story with some lovely Christmas tunes in the background, Christmas in Evergreen Letters to Santa is your go-to book companion.

As I write this review, it’s summer here in the Midwest and the temperatures are in the 80’s each day. However, I have been reading a sweet book that has me listening to Christmas music a few months early. Nancy Naigle has written another beautiful Christmas story that has me thinking all things Christmas.

I love the community of Evergreen and was glad to be able to return there again via this story. Kevin and Lisa have each separately returned to the little town of Evergreen for the holidays-Kevin to spend time with his dad; Lisa to visit the town for the first time since she was a child. Circumstances keep throwing them together, but it’s when they come together as a team to refurbish a beloved store on Main Street in Evergreen. As the people of the town join in to help restore some well-loved Christmas traditions, Kevin and Lisa must decide if their future is together in a Evergreen. I liked both these characters and couldn’t help but hope they would find their happily-ever-after together. The ending of the book seems to open the door for some summer weddings in Evergreen, and I’d love to read a sequel about that.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

A heartwarming story with wonderfully developed characters. A great way to beat the summer heat by enjoying Christmas in July. I loved getting to return to Evergreen, the town where wishes do come true.

Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

Do you like sweet romance books? Do you love Hallmark movies? I know I do! Especially when life throws a lot of negative stuff my way in a short period of time. I could honestly watch Hallmark Christmas movies year-round, and I have been known to binge on these types of movies the most when I’m in a book funk. Especially the ones that are set in small towns. Growing up, I lived in a fairly small town. I hated it back then, but now that it’s more of a suburb than rural, I find myself longing for small-town life. Something about small towns just seems to be more positive and less…heavy. So when this book popped up on my list, I snatched it up and devoured it in one sitting! I haven’t watched the movie (YET!) so I can’t really compare the book and movie. But I can say that I wholeheartedly adored this easy to read sweet romance. It was written in such a way that I could absolutely see it playing out in my head…right along with all the cheesy music usually thrown into Hallmark Christmas movies.

Lisa grew up a military brat, and her family left Evergreen when she was very young. But the town left a very big impression on her. She’s been putting off visiting the town at Christmas like she has always talked about, but this year, her best friend is finally able to talk her into making that dream come true. Kevin grew up in Evergreen but thankfully has been traveling all over as his work has taken him to cities near and far. He’s home for Christmas, but he’s looking to find more permanent work somewhere that is decidedly not Evergreen. When Lisa convinces him to help her on a project near and dear to her heart, will they find love and happily ever after, or will misunderstandings keep them from giving in to the attraction simmering between them?

NICUnurse’s Rating: If you are looking for a quick, sweet read that can transport you to a quaint small town with lovable characters (and a MUCH cooler climate!), this book is one you don’t want to miss. I give Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa by Nancy Naigle 4.5 out of 5 stars!

You may think that you’ve seen this story on Hallmark and you would be correct. I love Nancy Naigle’s books so much, I wanted to read it anyway. I loved it again! I’m sure I could live in Evergreen cause I love Christmas. I love the characters and how they all pull together. The love of friends and a town shine in this book. If you love a good Christmas story, I think you’ll love this one. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

This was a real Christmas story with a village feel to it. I would love to spend Christmas in Evergreen it sounds idyllic.. Wonderfully written and presented. It was lovely that the author used local people plus some that returned maybe never to leave again. Nancy Naigle did a really good job with this novel and I would recommend this to everyone, go and buy this now and enjoy this as much as I did.

I loved this book. The descriptive writing style of the author helps you to feel like you are in this cozy little town of Evergreen in all of its Christmas glory. It definitely gives you the warm feeling of Christmas. Lisa is in need of all the Christmas cheer she can get. Helping the town get back the store that gave them all their childhood memories means a lot to her and the town folk. Having Kevin, the contractor added into the equation helps her own life out as well. Heartwarming and fun read.

Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa is the second story set in the idyllic Christmas village of Evergreen, Vermont. Both stories have been aired as Hallmark Christmas movies. In this story, professional retail designer Lisa Palmer finds she has finished a job soon before Christmas and close to her childhood home of Evergreen. Lisa had always promised herself that one day she would return there at Christmas and her business partner, Oliver, convinces her that the time is now.

Upon her return the first person she encounters is Kevin Miller, also a former resident home to spend some of the holidays with his dad, Henry. Since his mom died when he was pretty young, the father-son relationship has seemed strained. If only Christmas could again be like it was when he was a child.

Soon after arriving, Lisa meets Ezra, Evergreen’s major. He has inherited the beloved Daisy’s store from his godmother, but it has sat empty and incurred storm damage. And Ezra is under the wire to make something happen as the bank is nipping at his heals. Lisa volunteers to take a look to see how she can stage it to help him with the sale. But when Ezra shows her the property Lisa understands the extent of the damage. When Lisa asks Ezra for a local contractor to help with the necessary repairs, it is Kevin Miller that Ezra recommends. At first hesitant, Kevin does agree and forms a team with Lisa to help the town they both love.

This is a delightful Christmas tale, but it is also a story for all seasons. It speaks to friendship, heritage, history, and commitment. It also speaks to love. This wonderful story will warm your heart, whether is is freezing or roasting outside. The characters are endearing and the setting speaks to the core of imagination. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!

A Beautiful Story!

Nancy Naigle's Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa is absolutely beautiful! I loved going back to Evergreen -- it's one of my favorite Hallmark locations. Lisa's love for the town she grew up in and Kevin's renewed love for his hometown are really special. Their chemistry works from their very first meeting! I won't spoil the ending for anyone, but this one had me in happy tears! I highly recommend this book!

Many, many thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC of Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa. This review is entirely my own opinion.
