Welp, I have been in a book slump....so I picked up Love Lettering. Simply put, I forgot this was a sample only. Cue the tears. I want to finish this book. I want to sit down and read it in one sitting. That is all from chapter 1 by the way.
Can't wait to finish this one.

4* Promising Stars

This is the first time that I have only read 1 chapter of a book with the promise of more to come closer to the release date. It was a great teaser and I am looking forward to reading Meg and Reid’s story and Meg’s unique ability to see what other can’t.

Many thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this Excerpt.

I actually am interested in this book now!! I want to know how she knew and how he knew she knew. I’ll have to pick this one up now.

I'm certainly intrigued by this excerpt and am eager to get my hands on the complete book.

It was a little hard to understand exactly what was happening / what exactly Meg does for a job - past and present. A little more clarity going in would be ideal, but this has some real promise!

I read the excerpt and look forward to finding out what happens next! Kate Clayborn sneakily lured me in. I'm still surprised that it was only an excerpt - a first for me on NetGalley. I hope I get a chance to read on....

Short because I only received a sampler; therefore, I can't speak for the whole book. I have to be honest, I do not know the author and this will be my first book I have ever read from Kate Clayborn. However, what attracted me was that beautiful cover and the title; I love doing hand lettering so that's what catched my eye. Thank you NetGalley for giving the chance to read and review this sample. If this is just a sample, I cannot wait to read the whole book. That cliffhanger! Oh my God!! it left me wanting to read more. Loved how the two characters met and since the first sentence I really really want them to be together; also I like romance stories but I do enjoy stories where not only the female character is lost; from this sample, I saw that both characters are trying to feel and find where they belong in the world which led to find each other. This is already a pre-order for me and definitely is a recommendation to others too.

This book really draws you in during the first chapter. It is detailed and takes you to Cecelia's shop. I really enjoyed how the first chapter ended with a cliff hanger. It grabbed my attention and made me want to know what happens next!
The characters in this book are written in a very detailed way, where you can picture exactly how they look and their personalities. When reading it's not like reading a story, it is like you, are there in person.
Overall, I loved the story line and character development starting from the beginning. The writing is very detailed and brings the story to life. I will definitely recommend this book to everyone I know!

I will note that I only received a sampler of this book, so I cannot speak for the whole book, just what I have read so far. I enjoyed the sampler and the premise surrounding it. I wish I was a planner person. I see everyone's gorgeous bullet journals and planners and notebooks and I wish I was that creative and organized and this book made me want to go out and buy all of the pretty paper goods and try it myself. I also really like the initial set up between the two characters. I want them to be together, and I like stories where both characters are kind of lost and trying to find their way in the world...and end up finding each other. I really wish I had more than a sampler because I was hooked and I wanted to keep reading. I'll definitely be picking this one up when it comes out and will recommend it to others too.

If this is a taste of what's to come....I've parked my butt in my seat with my napkin tucked under my chin and my spoon ready to dive in and devour! Kate Clayborn has quickly (and easily) cemented herself on my autobuy list!

Short but interesting excerpt from what promises to be a really great story, I didn’t realise this was only a teaser chapter, and I’m really disappointed I can’t read the whole thing right now. Meg is a talented woman whose skill at hand lettering have made her a social media star, and have led to lots of work, including wedding invitations. Sometimes she can’t help herself, she hides secret messages in her work.

When Reid Sutherland, prospective groom, and his fiancé commission their wedding stationery from Meg, she can’t resist hiding a message in the letters, and when Reid sees the pattern in the invites, he reconsiders.

When he turns up with the invite in his hands and no visible wedding ring, Meg thinks her professional life is over, she can’t know this is the start of something really special.

Great set up, I look forward to the whole book!

Meg helps with weddings. She is famous for her lettering skills and does place cards and other things where you require writing.

Reid tracks her down, wanting to know why Meg knew his marriage would fail.
Is there an instant attraction?

A simple romance book - if you are a lover of romance genre then this is for you.

It is very hard to do a proper review on just a chapter.

I did like reading this chapter but it probably was not the best chapter to be showing. I do not go for romance very often but the synopsis seemed different, intriguing and interesting.

I was a bit confused about what was going on at times but I suspect all will be revealed in due course.

Although the plot is interesting enough and I look forward to reading the rest of the book. I am intrigued as to what happens next.

This was only an excerpt but I loved what I was able to read and can't wait to read the whole thing!

This short snippet of the book was such a treat. I cannot wait to read this book for myself. It promises to be a fabulous romance and I love that the heroine hand letters. That's super interesting to me so I'm really looking forward to reading and promoting this one.

The premise of the book (Reid finding Meg to understand why his marriage fell apart) is cute and I was attracted to that as well as the cover. However, the first chapter that I was provided was too cutesy for me. All the May puns that were running through Meg's head were distracting and I couldn't really get a grasp on what her job was until Reid mentioned the NYT article. I'll probably still read the rest of the book when it comes out, but the first chapter was something I had to push through.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with an advanced excerpt of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Although the excerpt is only one chapter long, I can tell Kate Clayborn's new winter romance will be one to read when it is published. The writing is crisp and unique. Clayborn creates a story based on the character's profession and does well to use that perspective to start her novel with fun jargon and witty comparisons.

I will be picking up a finished copy of Love Lettering when it is published on December 31, 2019.

This first chapter excerpt from Love Lettering makes me so excited to read the rest of the book! It was a total cliffhanger and leaves the reader with so many unanswered questions. I think it will shape up to be a fantastic romance novel to read this winter.

This was definitely a cute chick lit rom com. So if you are into the chick lit I recommend. I myself tend to need a little more steam in my reads. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed this and I don’t always need steam but I found a few parts to be a little slow and boring. Thank you NetGalley.

This excerpt offers readers just a glimpse of the possible greatness of Kate Clayborn’s latest novel. The December publication date cannot get here soon enough.
