SPARK OF DESIRE features another member of the Hunter family of Sacramento. We first met Cedric Hunter, in A LOVE OF MY OWN, the premier book for the Hunters of Sacramento Series. Cedric is now running the family construction business, along with his cousin, Lorenzo. While Cedric’s cousins, The Grays of Los Angeles are happily married, Cedric has stated many times that he is not ready to settle down. Enter Randi Nichols, the woman who will have Cedric second guessing his bachelor status.
One of the most delightful scenes in the story involves Randi, Cedric, his cousin and partner, Lorenzo, and his wife Desiree. The couples travel to a “glass studio” for a lesson in making glass art. The author’s knowledge of this creative art form is so on-point that the reader becomes completely engrossed in the descriptive process. Very nicely done!
I enjoyed SPARK OF DESIRE. Sheryl Lister never fails to pen a compelling story. I recommend SPARK OF DESIRE for your reading pleasure. To read more stories about the Hunters, I recommend A LOVE OF MY OWN and SWEET LOVE. Enjoy!

ALL FOR YOU marks the end of the Jacksons of Ann Arbor Series. The last of the Jackson brothers, Dr. Myles Jackson is known as the “intense, serious” sibling. Myles is the brother who, according to his siblings, is not living his best life because he is living his father’s life. More on that later. I love Myles and Aria as a couple. In spite of Myles’ ordered lifestyle as a medical professional, and Aria’s artistic and creative gifts, they have a lot in common. I’ll let you discover the commonalities that these two share because then you will understand that they really make a dynamic couple. In addition, Aria also has some family problems of her own that she has to deal with. However, the heart and soul of this story involves Myles following his heart which is influenced by another great eye-opening scene that occurs between him and his father, “Dr. Law”. You’ll get that when you read the story.
ALL FOR YOU is my favorite book of the series. I think prolific writer, Elle Wright, saved the best for last. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it. I also recommend the other books in the series: IT’S ALWAYS BEEN YOU, WHEREVER YOU ARE, and BECAUSE OF YOU. Enjoy!

SPARK OF DESIRE
A suspicious fire at one of his construction sites ignites an all-consuming passion when Cedric Hunter meets arson investigator Randi Nichols. A woman battling to prove herself in a male-dominated arena, Randi won’t back down from danger, even if it costs her a love that fulfills them both. And if Cedric wants to win her heart, he must be ready to risk his own.
ALL FOR YOU
Dedicated and talented surgeon Myles Jackson can always be counted on to do what is expected, like joining his father’s practice. Then he meets free-spirited painter Aria Bell, who creates her own rules for art and life. She challenges Myles to rethink everything he thought was important and pursue his passion. As this desirable, extraordinary woman becomes more than his inspiration, can Myles find the courage to live his dream?
I really liked this combo set. Both books were well written. The characters in both stories were well written and I really liked them. The stories were quick reads that leave you satisfied in the end. I recommend.

Both books are additions to series fans of both authors may be familiar with. Spark of Desire follows another Hunter family member as they fall in love, even when they are adamant love isn't on the radar for them. All for You is the last book in the Jacksons of Ann Arbor series.
I enjoyed both novels and even though they're both technically part of a series, these can be read as a standalone. I will say that though the storylines were nice and entertaining, the couples didn't immediately draw me in. Yes, they were in love but their chemistry didn't really radiate off of the pages for me. I also found the pacing to be a bit too slow for my personal liking.
Overall though, they were nice reads and I'll be reading more from both authors.
